Legend of the Heavenly Fruit

Legend of the Heavenly Fruit
Eps. 82 — White Peacock Organization

"Ehm, how long have I been unconscious?" Zhou Yuan chose the first to make a sound to cover the awkward atmosphere that enveloped the two.

"Not too long ago, when you passed out I took you to the cave I've been in for the past few days..." Linxia glanced at Zhou Yuan's body. "What about your body condition?"

"It still hurts but it's getting better..." Zhou Yuan nodded slowly. "Thank you for helping me."

Linxia nodded, he got closer to the fireplace that was when Zhou Yuan only realized there was a pot above the campfire.

As if understanding Zhou Yuan's gaze, Linxia then explained it. "I was making meat soup before, if you like it I can give this to you. Although it cannot be said to be a delicious meal but it can still be enjoyed, try it..."

Linxia poured the soup into the container before then giving it to Zhou Yuan, the cookware the girl had obtained came from his group of two younger siblings before. They gave it to Linxia.

"It's delicious, you seem so good at cooking huh..." Zhou Yuan was a little surprised when his tongue tasted the girl's soup, the taste of the cuisine was almost as good as his mother's.

"I'm just cooking as a hobby, it keeps me a little entertained by doing it..."

Linxia turned his face while trying to suppress his emotions to always be calm but when Zhou Yuan praised his cooking sincerely his lips were powerless to smile.

Seeing Zhou Yuan so greedily eating his soup Linxia gave it to him again, from the very beginning the girl was cooking indeed to share with Zhou Yuan.

"I found some stuff from the hooded group that you killed earlier..." After eating Linxia suddenly put down a few bags of skin.

Zhou Yuan frowned, he did not expect the reason Linxia had gone before to pick up the items from the hooded group members.

Zhou Yuan started to open one by one those leather bags, nothing valuable other than gold coins and some resource pills. Right in the last leather pouch, Zhou Yuan found a scroll of paper before reading it.

"Already I guess, they are indeed part of the White Peacock Organization..." Zhou Yuan muttered softly as he finished reading it.

"The White Brand... What organization are they?" Linxia thus recalled Zhou Yuan mentioning the same name when in the cave.

Zhou Yuan had little trouble explaining it because his knowledge now came from a hundred years ago.

In short, the White Peacock Organization is as dangerous as any other organization but that distinguishes it from the way it moves in the criminal world. The White Peacock Organization was a group of warriors who were experts in the manufacture of black pills.

Black pill is a resource pill for warriors only the impact has side effects that damage and harm others.

Black pills can make a person addicted to consuming them, become angry, and unstable emotional disorders.

Although the organization did not move in a killing manner but thanks to the pills they circulated, the chaos that occurred was just as dangerous in the martial world.

A hundred years ago, many cities were destroyed due to the rampant circulation of black pills and their consumption. The pill makes a person strong quickly but on the other hand he can throw away the nature of humanity.

Therefore the Imperial government decided to ban the circulation of black pills and would severely punish who made them. The White Peacock Organization is one example of its maker.

When a great war occurred in the era of heavenly fruit appeared, the White Peacock Organization was said to have been destroyed in the martial world but in reality now, they still exist and move behind the shadows.

Zhou Yuan chose to concern himself with something else, thinking the White Peacock Organization now would not come up with any solutions.

He sat down cross-legged then began to regulate his breathing, Zhou Yuan gathered his inner strength back.

The inner strength in Zhou Yuan's body was now exhausted due to the use of his tototokan technique, he needed some inner strength to cure the side effects of the technique.

After several hours of recuperation, Zhou Yuan's body condition continued to improve until he was finally able to move his body back to how it was.

"You've recovered." Linxia was surprised, he just came out of the cave and came back and found Zhou Yuan was practicing moving his body.

Zhou Yuan nodded. "My condition is stable, I can move freely as usual now..."

Linxia frowned. "I really can't understand you, the more I try to find out the more I don't understand you..."

Linxia realized that Zhou Yuan was currently injured not because of his opponent's attack but from Zhou Yuan's own self-technique.

Increasing the strength to such a high level in a significant time must have severe side effects, Linxia guessed the side effects were what made Zhou Yuan faint before.

Which made Linxia shocked because of Zhou Yuan's rapid healing ability.

In the world of martial power in can restore a person's condition but usually those who can do the healing quickly are warriors who choose the path of treatment.

Linxia was convinced Zhou Yuan was not one of the warriors on the path of such treatment.

"Miss Yue, I understand there are many things you want to ask me, but I cannot answer your curiosity entirely..." Zhou Yuan smiled faintly.

"Including about you mastering my clan's Water, Fire, and sword techniques?"

Zhou Yuan nodded, he slightly did not expect Linxia to know the Fire Sword Technique when it should have been the girl who had seen him for the first time.

Linxia did know the technique was based on the story from his Grandfather, there was only one sword technique that could bring out fire without making any kind of change that was the Fire Sword Technique.

What was most surprising was that Zhou Yuan could use the Sound Sword Technique even more expertly than him though.

Linxia understood that Zhou Yuan was a genius in the field of sword arts but seeing his mastery of his sword techniques of this level in addition to his young age, it was difficult for Linxia to imagine.

The problem was that Zhou Yuan not only mastered one elemental sword technique but more, in the martial world, Linxia had never heard of a swordsman who could master more than one element sword technique like that man.

It made Linxia curious about Zhou Yuan's true identity, he did not try to pry for information because he wanted to respect Zhou Yuan's privacy but in the case now, it was difficult for the girl to hold back her curiosity.

"I can't answer her but I will say something Miss Yue... Every skill must have a teacher teaching it, as well as the sword techniques I mastered, everything I learned from my teacher..."

Zhou Yuan chuckled at Linxia's expression that held back his curious nature, he let the girl think wildly in her own logical way.
