Eps. 17 Qianshan Academy
A week passed according to the prescribed schedule, the day Jian Chen left for the Academy finally arrived.
Jian Wu and Jian Ran drove his son to the gate of the Jian Clan to see the day of his ascension. Before Jian Chen left Jian Wu first gave something.
“This is the sword I bought for you, Chen’er, White Taring. Father gave this because you are also a swordsman.”
Jian Chen stared at the bluish-colored sword sheath, he pulled the hilt away as soon as a glazed sword signified its sharpness.
In his past life time, Jian Chen had also obtained this sword so he was not too surprised or happy when he received it. The White Taring Sword was shattered when Jian Chen fought a stealth turtle, his sword eyes crooked when attacking the demon.
“Daddy, thanks.”
Jian Chen so thought that this sword was his father's last gift when his life used to be.
“Chen’er, go home every year to the house, Your mother and father will still wait for you.” Jian Ran rubbed Jian Chen's hair.
It felt very sad to hear that for Jian Chen, because if he remembered it again he had no place to go home in his previous life. His mother and father are gone even though he can return.
“Mother, don't worry, I'll be here every year.”
The same thing happens to other children when they say goodbye to their parents. There were 10 children who would be brought to the Academy including Jian Chen.
The distance between the Jian Clan and the Capital City was very far, if it was on foot it would take 2-4 weeks but normally Jian Ya would use the means of the eagle demon to go there.
The golden eagle demon was a rare demon found on the mainland of the Lightning Dragon Province as well as one of the demon that could be tamed. In the Jian Clan alone only the densest 7 golden eagles were nurtured by the clan leader.
Golden eagles are almost owned by every clan in general, in small clans there are even those who do not have a golden eagle at all. This indicates that the golden eagle demon is extremely rare and valuable.
If not for the extremely important matter, Jian Ya would not have used her golden eagle but this time was an exception.
Jian Ya was already standing on one of the five eagles, waiting for the children to say goodbye to his parents. After it was finished then Jian Ya told everyone to go up to the eagle.
In each of these eagles there are already Clan Elders occupying to control it. Jian Chen leaped onto the eagle that Jian Ya was riding without difficulty.
Then there was another child who jumped, one eagle on the ride by 3 people.
While waving, the five eagles began to flap their wings until floating in the air. Jian Chen last looked at his parents before he shot up into the sky.
Jian Chen was in a standing position while riding an eagle, in contrast to one of the children with him who was holding a saddle for fear of falling.
The child behind Jian Chen was a little astonished because Jian Chen was not frightened when brought up like any other child, Jian Chen could even balance his body when the air hit him so strongly.
Not only that child but the Elder who controlled the nearby eagle also felt surprised that Jian Chen could stand up straight, the elder himself was convinced he was incapable of doing the same.
Jian Ya who also saw him was so astonished in heart, Jian Ya was indeed in the same standing position as Jian Chen but he had a reason for that because he was used to riding the eagle demon.
Nearly 8 hours passed, the eagle entourage of the Jian Clan finally arrived at Qianshan City, the Capital of the Lightning Dragon Province.
Jian Chen smiled widely as the city was already visible from above, the city carried many memories for him.
Qianshan City is a city that has a very large area, including various famous clans, where trade and business people meet each other, agriculture, forests, plantations, all within Qianshan City.
In this Lightning Dragon Province, Qianshan City was a city with a good economy, it was no wonder there would be many people hanging their lives here.
In one corner of Qianshan City there are several areas with large buildings surrounded by a wall. The area and the building looked different, wider, wider. Jian Chen knew it because it was the Academy's intended place.
Jian Ya ordered to land near the Academy, there were many other golden eagles that also landed and it was believed that they were from other clans heading to the academy to enroll as well.
Because now was the opening year of the Academy, so many people were accompanying it. In front of the Academy gate were several tables and chairs for the administrator as the place of admission.
One of the elders of the Jian Clan was ordered to queue up and register the names of the top disciples named the Jian Clan.
Perhaps because of the well-known middle-class clan, it was not difficult to register it so within a few minutes Jian Chen and the other children had officially become students of Qianshan Academy.
Jian Ya then gave Jian Chen and the others a badge that signified the identity of that badge as a disciple of the academy.
“With this badge you are already officially a student of the academy, train hard so that you become a great swordsman.” Jian Ya started to explain about this academy.
At the Academy, a student was already facilitated everything including shelter and food. Every day they will learn many things, compete, or practice martial arts.
There are many great warriors here, those who graduate will get a guaranteed job, such as being a palace soldier, bodyguard of a high official, or a mercenary who has sky prices.
In the case of others this matter was pride, yet Jian Chen to the Academy did not aim there. At least Jian Chen could freely roam here without having to be restricted by his parents.
With this freedom, Jian Chen could freely carry out his plan to save the Jian Clan from slaughter.
Jian Chen stared at the silver-colored badge in his hand, with his status as a disciple of the Academy, he also had protection.
After giving the direction, Jian Ya and the other elders went back up the eagle. Jian Ya looked at Jian Chen who had been silent since then, there was a lot to talk to him about but it did not seem like the time was right.
The disappearance of Jian Ya and the Elders already had an Academy administrator standing up, the caretaker directed Jian Chen and the others into the territory of the Academy.
The attendant brought Jian Chen to the residence that would be inhabited for as long as they were in the academy. A building with the nameplate of the Jian Clan plastered signified that the Jian Clan disciples were indeed quite famous in this academy.
The building contained many rooms that were partly occupied by members of the Jian Clan who had entered the academy first.
Seeing a new child coming in, the old residents just stared flatly. Jian Chen knew that the view was like an understatement.
Then the academy administrator who walked in front told him the empty rooms, every new disciple like Jian Chen would get his private room.
Jian Chen went inside his room to rest for a while as he had been traveling for 8 hours, but just as his eyes were closed there was already a knock on the door that sounded.
