Light Cultivation
Eps. 336 — Interrogation

The Rat does not know how long he was unconscious but certainly when he opened his eyes the sky had darkened.

The body of the Rat Shio was tied to a tree branch with iron chains wrapped around it, not far from it there was a brightly lit bonfire. The Rat saw two people sitting near the bonfire, one was a man and the other a woman, both of whom were burning something.

The Rat then tried to release the iron chain with its power but somehow his body seemed to be without power even felt weak. The heartbeats of the Rat Shio thumped violently when he realized his profound energy was almost non-existent within his body.

The view of the Rat falls on the man near the bonfire, he understands that it is the man who makes him so in such conditions.

"You... You crippled my martial arts..." The mouse said weakly.

The man finally turned his head with a pair of golden eyes that shone in the dark of the night. The man then smiled broadly, realizing that his captive had regained consciousness.

Jian Chen did not bring away the Rat Shio from the city of Hene, he only brought it back to where the lake was before.

Before tying him up, Jian Chen removed the heirloom armor that was on the body of the Rat Shio, not forgetting the space ring as well as finally crippling his cultivation.

During the Shio Rat fainting, Jian Chen tried on the heirloom of that protective suit, the heirloom immediately adjusting to the curves of Jian Chen's body when he wore it.

The heirloom made of gold jade does feel comfortable in use, light, and adjust the body temperature of the user.

Jian Chen also tried the strength of that protective suit, just as the Rat Shio said he could absorb every blow into his body including the sword scratches as well, only that his weakness lay in the energy attacks, he could absorb every single blow into his body, the heirloom couldn't hold it.

Even so Jian Chen still wore the protective suit because of its benefits that could face a strong blow.

After several hours of waiting with Lily, the Rat finally woke up from its stupor. Jian Chen immediately interrogated the man to inform Shio Hunters headquarters to be located.

"What makes you think I'm gonna say it?" The mouse smiled cynically.

"I'll torture you until you say it, believe me if I do, you'll expect to die..."

The mouse laughed loudly. "Dead? You think I want to live after you cripple my cultivation?!"

Jian Chen snorted before creating the lightning sword in his hand then bringing it close to the neck of the man.

"Please kill me!" The man laughed even more. "That way you'll have trouble finding our base, you won't find it even old." The rats are laughing.

When Jian Chen wanted to respond to her, Lily's voice sounded first. The girl grumbled annoyedly hearing the laughter of the Rat Shio.

"Whisper! Didn't anyone ever say your laughing voice was so distracting!" Lily snorted in annoyance then walked over to the Tied-up Rat Shio.

Lily's red eyes then shone for a while, Jian Chen frowned when he saw the Rat Shio's eyes also turning red.

"Now, where's your organization's headquarters?" Lily asked coldly.

Without Jian Chen understanding, the Rat Shio answered Lily's question and informed the Shio Organization headquarters.

The Rat Shio answered him clearly so that Jian Chen could find him easily, the headquarters was in a cave in the middle of the desert not far from Hene City, they built a secret headquarters there to conduct large meetings.

"big meeting? What did they discuss until they gathered there?" Jian Chen turned his head towards Lily, the girl sighed before asking a similar thing to the Rat Shio.

Shio Rat then explained about the Shio Organization's plan that discussed the mysterious swordsman, Jian Chen was sure that the mysterious swordsman's intention was himself.

After some explanation, Shio Rat could not say more details about the discussion of the headquarters because he was also heading there.

Feeling that it was enough for Lily to release her technique made the red eyes of the Rat Shio disappear at once with her consciousness as well.

"All fairy races can do it..." Lily did not discuss any further, she again sat down by the campfire and continued to burn her grilled meat.

Jian Chen scratched his head, there was too much he did not know about the girl. Jian Chen did not directly search the headquarters of the Shio but instead chose to spend the night there. Jian Chen would search for their headquarters when the sun was already bright.

As the sun began to rise, Jian Chen took out his asura sword before slashing it at the chains wrapped around the Rat Shio.

"You sure you didn't kill him?" Lily was a little astonished by Jian Chen's actions.

"No need, he'll kill himself..." Jian Chen glanced at the Rat Shio who was still unconscious due to Lily's illusion.

Jian Chen did not kill him for believing that the Rat Shio was harmless, after all the man would be greatly tormented by his circumstances given his years of cultivation had now been lost, to a swordsman, after all, losing cultivation was no worse than death though.

Jian Chen and Lily then started flying towards the headquarters Shio was in. At least they need three hours of flying up to their destination.

"I think this is the place..." Lily looked around, there was no cave around her other than the cave before her.

Although it is called a cave but the cave is covered with a large rock.

Jian Chen landed not far from the cave before walking closer to the huge rock, obviously the stone was deliberately placed there.

Draining a bit of power in his hand, Jian Chen smashed the boulder into pieces. Jian Chen and Lily then went inside.

The cave turned out to go deep underground, the passage is quite long and also dark.

After walking for fifteen minutes, Jian Chen and Lily finally reached a spacious room, in the room were several chairs and a large table in the middle.

"The seats are still warm, did they just leave this cave?" Lily checked one of the stone chairs in the room.

Jian Chen wanted to answer him when suddenly the cave trembled quite violently.

Lily frowned, "They seem to have noticed it, they're luring us into the cave before trapping and burying us in it..."

Jian Chen sighed, Lily's words were indeed true, the cave slowly began to tremble followed by the roof of his rocks collapsing and falling. Jian Chen raised his hand before flowing a deep energy.

The Dragon Shio and the other five Shio were already outside the cave as Jian Chen walked in, going through the secret passage, they could more and more arrive to the surface before destroying their cave headquarters from outside.

The Dragon Shio was aware Jian Chen was not a Rat Shio or a figure who was on his side, the stone that Jian Chen smashed was proof that the young man was not from their side.

The stone was a code, it should have been if their fellow Shio would have moved the stone using a special formation instead of crushing it like Jian Chen.

"Chairman Lin, is he going to die buried in that cave?" Ask one of the Shio.

Shio Dragon nodded. "It should be so, however strong they may be if there is no breath, they will die."

"Chairman Lin, do you think he is that mysterious swordsman?"

Lin Xiazhi was speechless before nodding slowly. "I don't know how he found out about our base but his arrival here was definitely not a good intention."

The dragon Shio was about to say something even further when from inside the cave there was suddenly an explosion that erupted out.

The Dragon Shio and the other Shio were shocked when from the explosion two people appeared from within the ground, one of them emitting an extremely dark murderous aura.
