Light Cultivation
Eps. 6 — Jian Clan

“When I returned first, my clan was already flattened by the ground and left only half-destroyed buildings. This means that the perpetrator who made the Jian Clan slaughtered was not 1 person but done by a large group or army.” Thought Jian Chen.

Jian Chen recalled the first time he heard that his clan was slaughtered when he was in the Academy, he fainted and cried hysterically for days.

Worse news, the people in the Jian Clan did not survive in the slightest, whether it was a woman, an elderly, or children all wiped out.

The people who were near the Jian Clan area were so shocked when they saw the thousands of corpses lying down. The blood and fishy smell stung even to the next village.

Fearful of causing a plague, the Mayor ordered the troops and the population to bury all the bodies in the Jian Clan in a crowded manner.

After that terrible tregedy, the Jian Clan became an empty village. No one dared to move there or make a stopover so that it seemed that the Jian Clan had completely disappeared from civilization.

No one knows that there was actually one survivor who was not there when the massacre took place.

That person was none other than Jian Chen, the only person surnamed Jian.

Jian Chen himself did not return to his clan upon learning of the news, he even chose to leave the Academy for fear that anyone would find out his family identity and instantly kill him.

Jian Chen chose to just leave and wander alone.

Those dark times still felt claustrophobic in Jian Chen's memory where his place to go home had disappeared. There was no more his mother's smile, could no longer train with his father, the brothers had left him.

When Jian Chen turned out to be able to change his destiny in the past, he was very, very grateful let alone being able to meet his family whom he missed the most.

Jian Chen closed his eyes then let out a long breath. Jian Chen smiled faintly, muttering softly, “The memories were too painful even if only a cursory glance.”

He stood up from his silhouette, walked towards the window and opened it directly. Jian Chen inhaled a breath of his utmost strength then let it out with a feeling of relief.

“My former past is my present time. With the existence of one of the heroes in the Eastern Continent, I will not let that happen.”

At the age he died, although young, thanks to his teacher Jian Chen could become one of the high-powered heroes even in his empire. Had he not been attacked and hunted by the mysterious organization, Jian Chen might not have died that day.

“My husband! My husband! Look Chen’er.” Jian Ran pulled his son's hand and took him out of the house.

She had to immediately report this big news to her husband, what they were waiting for could finally be achieved, Jian Chen had already opened his cultivation gate!

“There's what Ran’er, it's still morning, don't yell much.” Jian Wu had just sat down casually while wiping his sword at the house until suddenly his wife called out to him loudly.

“Try to see, what happened with Chenn’er today?” Jian Ran held onto Jian Chen's shoulder from behind, the young mother's face was so enthusiastic.

Sighing in a short sigh, Jian Wu glanced at Jian Chen for a while before returning to look at his sword, uninterested.

“Nothing happened..” He replied after turning his head.

“Try to see more thoroughly! What's wrong with our son?” Jian Ran puffed his cheeks stifled.

Jian Wu was too lazy to deny it or turn his head so he just guessed. “Does Chen’er already be able to open the cultivation gate?”

“Yes that's what happened, Chen’er already opened it last night.”

Jian Ran nodded. “Just look more carefully, you will notice it soon.”

While narrowing his eyes Jian Wu looked at Jian Chen's body, his eyes immediately opened wide when he found that there was a deep energy from his son's body even though it felt faint.

Jian Wu put down his sword then hurriedly walked over to Jian Chen, he saw his son's palm was afraid of him seeing wrong and said right, Jian Chen had already opened the cultivation gate.

“Chen’er you have actually understood the cultivation gate?” tank ensured.

Jian Chen nodded. “Yes, dad, last night I was able to understand it and open it.”

Jian Wu then turned to his wife who was immediately taken in. “I was also surprised when I first saw Chen’er exit the room this morning, I thought I was dreaming but after pinching the cheek turned out to be true.”

“This means our son has been destined to be a swordsman?”

Jian Ran nodded, smiling. Jian Ran might not particularly agree that his son entered the martial world but if it made Jian Chen happy, then it did not matter to him.

Jian Wu inexplicably hugged his wife's body so happily. The two young couples hugged quite tightly.

Jian Chen let out a small laugh, the reaction of his two parents was quite interviewed by Jian Chen, because his age now was the determinant of his future.

If a human could not open his Gate of Cultivation until his 20s, then that person was not destined to become a swordsman.

Naturally Jian Chen's mother and father were happy, especially his father who had once worried that Jian Chen was not destined to become a swordsman.

“Chen’er, tomorrow you join father to Jian Clan Pavilion, there you will see how big your talent is.” Jian Wu released a hug with his wife, turning to Jian Chen.

“Good, Dad..” Jian Chen nodded, smiling gently.

The next day they went to the Jian Clan Pavilion. After saying goodbye to Jian Ran they immediately set off towards the center of the village.

Jian Chen's house was located at the very edge of the Jian Clan and was a few meters away from its inhabitants, so to get to the pavilion he needed time because it was located in the center of the village.

Jian Chen was so enthusiastic as he entered the depths of the village, he never forgot the atmosphere where his village lived.

The Jian Clan was one village that was near a huge mountain. It has a beautiful and beautiful place with forests and plantations. The average livelihood here is farming, trading, or most of all being a paid swordsman.

Jian Chen's father was one of them, a mercenary, because indeed this job had the highest income from other jobs.

With the result of being a mercenary as well, Jian Wu could fulfill the adequacy of his family including when he bought a house on the edge of the village. He wanted to be there because he preferred calmness.

Both the father and son pair continued to walk deeper into the center of the village, Jian Wu chuckled at the excited son Jian Chen even to the point of walking first in front of him.

“Chen’er beware, here are many people passing by.” Jian Wu reminded.

Jian Wu did not know that Jian Chen was actually reminiscing about his previous life. He was so enthusiastic because he wanted to see how the atmosphere of his clan that he almost forgot. His busyness, then-passage, his peace, everything here.

After a short while of walking finally Jian Chen arrived at the Jian Clan Pavilion. A place where there are magic objects to see the talent of someone touching it.
