Eps. 209 — Lover Jian Chen
In the first life, after the Jian clan was massacred, Jian Chen lived on an erratic escape, going to various places and areas including to other provinces just to stay alive.

However not for long the relationship of the two turned into a pair of lovers, Yue Lian had to die at the hands of the pirates when it came to saving Jian Chen on one of the missions.
Yue Lian's death was a hard blow to Jian Chen in his first life after he lost his family, if not for Yue Lian's words for him to continue living maybe Jian Chen had already killed himself back then.
Jian Chen closed his eyes as bad memories flashed back in his mind, the thought of it getting recorded even more clearly let alone looking at the figure of the girl he had saved some time ago.
Right, the girl that Jian Chen was protecting was his own lover in the past life, Yue Lian.
Yue Lian was still unconscious until it was already night, Jian Chen sat her down under the tree while healing the wounds she had sustained.
"Why do you always force yourself into situations that don't benefit you..." Jian Chen sighed, thinking that if he was not there maybe the girl was really in danger.
Yue Lian's face did not differ much in her first life only the girl's hairstyle was slightly different. In the first life Yue Lian's hair was tied up while now the girl's hair was outlined to the waist.
Jian Chen stared at the face of the girl who was still severed peacefully, to be honest if you could choose Jian Chen did not want to see his lover again for some reason but when fate had willed he could not do anything.
Yue Lian's face was indeed not as beautiful as Meily or even Lily, but Jian Chen who had fallen in love with her still considered the girl's face very sweet.
"Where am I?" Yue Lian finally regained her consciousness, the first thing she encountered was a bonfire not far from her fainting.
"You've been unconscious for a few hours, are you okay?"
Yue Lian still held her aching head and looked at the person across the bonfire. Instantly Yue Lian's expression became wary of seeing the person talking to her wearing a mask.
"Who are you? What are you doing to me?" Yue Lian hurriedly turned her head towards her clothes but did not find anything the girl was thinking. "You... Where's this?"
Jian Chen scratched his non-itchy head, knowing that wearing a mask made the girl wary but he had no alternative to be with the girl.
There was a reason Jian Chen had to hide his identity from that lover.
"You're still in the woods, there was a swordsman who came to see me and brought you unconscious."
"Yes, he said you almost died by the criminals, I don't know exactly what happened but for sure the swordsman said I have to take care of you..."
Yue Lian then remembered that before she had fought with the robbers and even nearly died, she also still vaguely remembered someone helping her before she was unconscious.
Yue Lian wanted to get up but suddenly her gaze twisted before finally falling back down.
"You're okay, your condition isn't stable so don't move much first." Jian Chen scratched his head. "Just calm down, I don't mean anything bad to you..."
Yue Lian narrowed her eyes before finally sighing, she thought that Jian Chen was indeed really evil, already that young man had done so when he was unconscious.
"Thank you, sorry I wasn't polite."
Jian Chen nodded, "No problem, it's only natural that you be wary of me let alone in the middle of a forest like this."
"Truely, what are you doing in the middle of a forest like this?"
"I... I'm just a hunter."
"Hunters?" Yue Lian looked at Jian Chen from the bottom to the top. "I just found out there's a hunter wearing a mask, besides, isn't your outfit too fancy to be a hunter?"
"I like to wear masks and dress well when hunting." Jian Chen answered him with an awkward smile.
Yue Lian did not answer him but rather narrowed her eyes at Jian Chen with a suspicious look.
Jian Chen was indeed impressed to make it up, but the point was that he did not want his identity to be known to the girl even though he was sure that the woman would not know it even if she mentioned his identity.
Seeing as Jian Chen was harmless Yue Lian did not speak any further. He chose to sleep but because of his empty stomach he was unable to do so.
Yue Lian wanted to hunt for food but due to her condition she was unable to do that.
On the other hand Jian Chen was now grilling something on the campfire, a mouth-watering scented meat making the hungry Yue Lian even more so.
"You hungry?" Jian Chen raised one of the meat on the ripe fireplace then threw it at the girl who was immediately caught by him. "This meat I've seasoned chili but take it easy, the meat you hold does not have a spicy taste."
Yue Lian frowned. "How do you know I don't like spicy food?"
Jian Chen almost patted his eel, he forgot about it. Because in his first life he who was always with Yue Lian made him know a lot about the girl.
"Hm, isn't every girl not fond of spicy, I just guessed it didn't know that it turned out to be true." Jian Chen shrugged his shoulders, as if not thinking about it any further.
In fact Jian Chen's words were still Yue Lian thought, the girl became hesitant to eat Jian Chen's flesh, making the young man scratch his head in frustration.
"Listen I know you're wary of me but one thing, if I mean to you I've done it since I was unconscious."
Yue Lian was silent for a while before finally daring to eat it, the girl's eyes were slightly rounded as it felt the cooking of the person in front of her was very good.
