Jian Chen found his time in the Pavilion to be startled by the large number of people who were crowding beside the Pavilion.
He could not see what those people were watching because of his short height, Jian Chen even almost cursed because of his height, not even as tall as a 12-year-old child normally.
Unable to see it so Jian Chen pulled the end of his father's sleeve. “Dad, what are those people doing?”
Jian Wu who could see him looking down, his son turned to look at the people beside the pavilion.
“It looks like you're not the only one who will test Chen’er's talent. Those people are swarming around to see some kids who want a talent test like you.” Jian Wu stroked Jian Chen's hair. “Do you want to see it too?”
Jian Chen was silent for a while before finally nodding, there was no harm in seeing the aptitude test of others before him.
Jian Wu pulled his son's hand and brought him the crowd, he split the crowd and got the front position so that his son could see more clearly.
Seen from some of the Pavilion tables, one of the tables is used for an object placed on it. The object was round about the size of a ball played by children, only the object was transparent like glass.
The object in question is named Soul Reader Ball which serves to test one's talent. The ball is placed on a padded pad and placed in the middle of the table.
Jian Chen saw that there were 5 children who were around 10-14 years old with their parents lined up in line for the Magic Ball test.
Then one of the children approached in turn, his father who was beside him told him to touch the Soul Reading Ball.
Not long after the boy's hand came into contact with the Magic Ball, the transparent color of the ball suddenly turned red.
“His talent is not too bad, maybe one day he can become a mercenary like us.” One of the young men whispered to his friend.
“That's how, isn't it his son from Jian Wei, it's no wonder that his talent is almost the same.” Answer one of the other young men.
“I think the light is a little brighter than his father used to be, at least maybe he will exceed his father's ability.” The other young man whispered.
How to judge whether someone is talented or not can be seen from the lighting on a glass ball, the brighter the lighting, the more talented the person is.
After he finished and released his hand from the ball, now it was the next child's turn behind him. Not much different from before, the Soul Reader's Ball remained red only its light distinguished.
The whispers of the crowd continued to spread until the fifth child arrived in turn.
“Chen’er, I have to go to the administration of the Pavilion first to register you the aptitude test, wait for father here do not go anywhere!”
Jian Wu reminded Jian Chen not to move when he left for fear that he would be lost and Jian Wu would have a hard time looking for him especially here was the center of a crowded village.
Jian Chen nodded. He knew that in order to test the talent with the Soul Readers Ball would have to ask permission from the Pavilion manager.
After seeing that his father had gone through the crowd Jian Chen turned his head again to the last child who had now touched his ball.
Unlike the other four children who were all dim red, this time the fifth child emitted a tanned light with a fairly bright lighting.
“Ah, finally there is also in the Jian Clan that has a different element, Elemental Land with medium talent.” it is not the voice of the crowd just now but the voice of someone who just descended in the sky.
Jian Chen was even a little surprised because that person so suddenly appeared right in front of him. A young woman came in the middle of the crowd.
The woman had a slender body with black hair up to her waist. His face and skin are so white and sweet, those who look at him will feel how beautiful the woman even if just glancing at her face.
The woman approached the child who touched the Magic Ball. “What's your name?” tanyanya gently.
“Jian Ba's junior name, greetings to the Clan Chief!” Jian Hai put his hands together in a salute, followed by his father and around this crowd saluted him.
In his previous life Jian Chen had never once met the Jian Clan Chief. The reason was quite simple because Jian Chen was an ordinary child back then who had low talent that was impossible to be glimpsed by such an important person.
Jian Chen had heard from his father that the chairman of the Jian Clan was a woman. Jian Wu explained that although the clan head was a woman, he had very high martial arts in this clan.
Now that Jian Chen could understand his point, in just one look Jian Chen found the power hidden in the woman.
The appearance of the Clan Leader here meant that he was being attracted towards one's talent, or rather towards the color of the Magic Ball that shone different from Jian Hai.
“I thought this year that all the children in our clan would have Elemental Fire, I was mistaken.” Jian Ya smiled warmly at the boy, then turned to her father. “Are you going to take him to the Academy later?”
“Each Clan Leader.. I do plan to take my son there.” The father spoke slowly, his eyes did not even look at Jian Ya.
The reason why Jian Ya was able to figure out the element of the children earlier was because of which was none other than the Soul Readers Ball. In short, in addition to being able to gauge one's talent the Soul Reader's Ball can also tell the element of the person touching it.
In the martial world, the Element was something that every swordsman who had opened the Gate of Cultivation must have. No matter whether he was gifted low or high, a swordsman definitely had elements within his body.
The Jian Clan generally had fire-elemented warriors, it was one of the hallmarks of the Jian Clan where the descendants were mostly fire-elements.
When there are people who have different elements in the clan, of course, it will bring its own charm. Basically every clan hopes that in his clan many have various elements not just one.
The more types of elements in a clan, the more powerful the clan is.
Back to the Soul Reader Ball, when the transparent color of the glass ball changes, it shows the color of each element. The red color previously signified the Fire Element and the brown color meant the Earth Element.
There are many elements in the martial world, and the most common of them are fire, earth, lightning, water, ice, and wind. That element is often owned by most people.
After it was felt that the talent test had been completed, the crowd had no reason to stand here. They said their regards to the clan head before dispersing themselves except Jian Chen.
Jian Chen himself was deep in thought, he looked at Jian Ya's face with a different feeling. Jian Chen realized the woman in front of him was very sweet but he was attracted not because of his face but something that would happen to him in the future.
‘Which I remember according to rumors, the Clan Chief died more sadistically when the massacre happened than the others. Chairman Jian Ya was hanged in front of the clan gate with tragic conditions until it was difficult to recognize.’
The daydream of Jian Chen who was looking at Jian Ya immediately realized. Jian Ya smiled gently then walked over to Jian Chen who was fixated on looking at him, he thought the little boy was attracted towards his face like everyone else had first seen.
“Hai, what's your name?”
Looking at Jian Chen whose body was small thought Jian Ya he was 8 years old so he was a little more gentle.
Jian Chen regained his senses and immediately returned his expression. “Junior named Jian Chen, greetings to the chairman.”
“Jian Chen...” Jian Ya stroked her chin, the name felt familiar to her mind, “Are you her son Aunt Ran?”
Jian Chen nodded, he was a little stunned because his name could be remembered by a clan head like him.
“Oh, Chen’er huh? What are you doing here? You alone?” jian Ya asked gently.
“Junior wanted a talent test here, earlier dad was together but went to administration to get a license permission.”
Jian Ya nodded his head. “If you want, you can touch it, Chen’er, it happens that Big Brother wants to see the talent of his son Mother Ran.”
Jian Chen scratched his head, smiling awkwardly. Either he had to refuse or accept his laughter.
