Eps. 31 — Hunting
Thirty groups of academy participants were already in their respective positions, surrounding the Lonely Forest from every corner.
There are several reasons why this competition must be in a split position, one of the main factors so that the demons in the Lonely Forest no one managed to escape or live.
Although stealth will certainly appear again at least by eradicating it to a certain extent making the death rate of citizens killed by stealth to be smaller.
Each group did not go straight into the forest as it waited for a cue from the Academy Elders.
It didn't take long until the sound of fireworks bursting from the middle of the Silent Forest hill signaled the competition had already begun.
Along with the sound of fireworks, all the groups moved into the depths of the forest. Originally one group consisted of various factions but when it was already a few kilometers of running, each faction parted ways towards its own goal.
Jian Chen's group was also so, now there was only the Two Swords faction that was walking straight while the others had already split in different directions.
While walking by jumping over the tree branches, Jian Chen and the others continued to move forward into the depths of the forest. It didn't take long until they met a demon.
The first demon to encounter was a group of wild boars, Jian Chen and the others had no trouble dealing with it especially since he was also in a group.

Miou Yue explained to one of her members who asked her the reason she told him to take an early break.

“We sleep here..” Miou Yue dismissed her group after seeing the surrounding forest.
Miou Yue chose a place where there was a stream of water nearby. With his experience of the forest he was sure that the chosen place was safe and protected from the attacks of wild animals.
Jian Chen lit a bonfire in their midst, as a warmth from the cold of the night air. Jian Chen also burned the mosquito repellent plant so that the campfire let out a smelly smoke.
Lu Xuan nodded as well as Shen Ling. Other than the two who were on guard all night, Miou Yue and the others chose to sleep.
Only Jian Chen was still awake, even though his eyes were closed he was actually absorbing the stealth gem with one of his hands grasping the gem. Jian Chen gave three-quarters of the gems to Miou Yue while one-quarter of them to her.
At first glance Jian Chen was seen sleeping in a sitting position leaning against a tree so that Lu Xuan and Shen Ling were not suspicious.
Jian Chen actually wanted to absorb the light but it was too conspicuous as they would see the grains of light entering his body.
Jian Chen's eyes opened when early in the morning, he straightened his body as sitting all night made him feel sore.
“How do you have such eyes, your golden eyes are really so beautiful.” Lu Xuan was already standing before Jian Chen's body right as he opened his eyes.
If it was not a human perhaps Jian Chen would reflexively deliver a harsh blow as the man almost took him by surprise.
Lu Xuan himself only chuckled softly seeing his reaction but he continued to stare into Jian Chen's eyes, sometimes he was often dazzled by Jian Chen's golden eyes but this time when Jian Chen opened his eyes while the sky was still dark, Jian Chen's eyes seemed to light up for a moment and it looked extremely beautiful.
“Senior Lu was too complimentary, my eyes were just a different color.” replied Jian Chen smiling awkwardly.
“Didn't Chairman Yue say don't disturb the rest, why did you wake Junior Jian?!” Shen Ling heard the previous conversation directly glared at Lu Xuan.
“Eh? Who woke him up, I was here right when Jian Chen woke up.”
Shen Ling narrowed her eyes suspiciously, she did not believe Lu Xuan's words.
“Why do you always suspect me? Just ask Junior Jian, don't you think?” Lu Xuan turned to Jian Chen.
Jian Chen scratched his cheek before nodding, he was unwilling to engage in their debate any further.
“Awas only if it interferes, I will report to Chairman Yue!” Shen Ling looked at Jian Chen briefly before returning to take care of the campfire.
Lu Xuan was indeed assigned to patrol to look at the surroundings, fearing that any ferocious beasts were approaching or any other distress while Shen Ling took care of the campfire in order not to be extinguished all night.
When Jian Chen woke up, he was the first to open his eyes compared to the other members. The sky was still dark so it was only natural that they were still asleep.
“Basic tigress! Can't he be a little soft, a little angry, a little cranky, a little glaring.…” Grutu Lu Xuan.
Actually Lu Xuan said quietly but Shen Ling from afar heard it. “What did you say earlier, hah-! Female tiger?!”
“Eh-eh, no-no, I mean Jian Chen said he wanted to hunt a tigress, right Jian Chen?” Lu Xuan nudged Jian Chen to nod.
Jian Chen wanted to laugh but seeing the panicked Lu Xuan he hurriedly nodded. It seems like the relationship of the two is quite unique especially they are always arguing in every situation.
Shen Ling snorted, had Jian Chen shook his head maybe he would have thrown this branch at Lu Xuan.
