Light Cultivation
Eps. 302 — Poison King Book

The Chu clan troops immediately chased after the fleeing organization troops, they had no intention of letting the enemy troops leave the city alive.

Because of the organization's attack many innocent citizens were victims in this attack, plus the destroyed city buildings made the city of Qianshan suffered a lot of destruction.

The organization troops that began to be blocked tried to fight to find the escape gap from the clan troops, some of them kneeled in surrender while others tried to focus on running.

Even if assisted by Jian Chen who hunted them ferociously, the organization troops still escaped because they had too many of the troops on his side.

Jian Chen did not expect that if all the organizations in the Lightning Dragon Province were gathered in one group the numbers would rival the city army even more.

At least if it counted all the organization's forces that attacked the city, the organization's forces lost nine out of a tenth of their number.

With such a small amount, Jian Chen made sure that the members of the organization would not rise again. Moreover, they will tend to disband the group for fear of being hunted by the government.

Chu Di also announced that after the attack had been completely completed, he would form a special force aimed at overcoming the organizations.

Chu Di made this experience his lesson to not let the organizations take too long or all be as late as they are now.

Soon the sound of victory echoed throughout the Qianshan city, though not a victory to be celebrated but a victory over the eradication of half the members of the organization was a sweet victory.

The next day, the Chu clan troops began to bury the victims who had been killed for this attack. All the buildings of the city or destroyed houses will be covered by the government.

At least two hundred more victims died while the number of injured was more than that.

Jian Chen's arrival managed to make the casualties on the Qianshan city side decrease quite far, if he arrived late even longer then the number of casualties might reach thousands.

Jian Chen watched the burial from afar, he sighed for a moment, often when an attack occurred, he failed to block the victim even though he knew it was impossible.

Even a great power still had its limits, Jian Chen only hoped that one day he would create peace for his closest people, his family and loved ones.

Jian Chen then floated up and started flying towards the association inn he had prepared with Jian Ya, after this attack he suddenly felt exhausted, perhaps not his physique but his mentally feeling tired.

***

Jian Chen slept in his room for almost twelve hours, the sky was already dark when he looked at the outer window.

After cleansing himself and his body again becoming refreshed originally, Jian Chen began to take out the two space rings he took from the Snake and Pig Shio.

Jian Chen inspected the ring, hoping to get some information or something useful. Not long after two small balls the size of a hand grip appeared in front of Jian Chen in different colors.

Jian Chen smiled faintly as he recognized her as an element pearl, one was black and the other was dark green.

Without further ado he immediately swallowed them one by one, Jian Chen sensed that there was an invisible force entering his body.

"Hm, well, we'll see what this element is?", Jian Chen took out a leaf to examine the element then placed it over his palm.

"It's a shadow element..." Jian Chen clucked in awe when he realized it, he had heard of such an element from the person he had fought.

Jian Chen replaced the previous leaf with another, trying to check for the next new element. Unlike the first, the leaves turn greenish even the color of the leaves to look younger.

Jian Chen did not recognize the element, the same leaf now began to grow a small root nearby that slowly extended like a common plant.

"This, why?" Jian Chen frowned.

The leaf slowly turned into a small tree that grew in Jian Chen's palm. The young man's eyes widened at once stunned at it.

"The wood element, a rare element in the martial world, I didn't expect you to be able to do it..." Lily said from the inside.

"Hm, I just found out there's this kind of element, doesn't it seem absurd, it can grow a plant quickly?"

Lily nodded softly, a sign agreeing with Jian Chen's opinion. He said the Wood Element is also called the Elements of Life because it can create a life for those closest to it.

According to Lily, when in her world, there is someone who creates a forest with the element of wood, the barren and infertile land can be changed by those who have this element of life into a lush forest.

"Doesn't that mean that the wood element is very important and needed by all humans and other creatures?"

"Of course, but as I said they're very rare, in some parts of the world there's certainly no wood element." Lily ended her explanation.

Jian Chen clenched an enthusiastic hand, he hoped to learn the element further despite not understanding where he should learn from.

Jian Chen refocused taking out the items that were in the space ring, a book suddenly appeared nearby.

From the cover of the book was a name written 'The Poison King's Book', Jian Chen then recalled that one of his opponents used a poison attack.

Jian Chen could be said to have learned about poison thanks to he learned from his teacher but not until he mastered or was an expert in his field.

Jian Chen opened a few sheets and began to read them, the result of which the young man was unceasingly amazed at every page per page he opened.

"This is really a high-level book..."

As Jian Chen fought with the Snake Shio, actually the Snake Shio was not a poison master but rather a swordsman. Jian Chen guessed that Snake had learned poison from this book even though he was not a poison master.

From the book Jian Chen also found the reason the previous Snake Shio could spit poison from his mouth, simple because the Snake Shio had stored the poison in his body, precisely in the stomach.

By being fed with deep energy, the poison does not poison its owner even in the body, on the contrary it can also be used as a deadly weapon.

Not only the science regarding poison techniques, Jian Chen also discovered in the Poison King Book there was a way to concoct poison of various types, as well, either it has a mild effect such as hives to a deadly poison that can kill his opponent.
