"Ren, wait!" kenan shouted from a distance as he saw Rendi getting further and further away. Rendi did not comment on Kenan's question.
He continued to step while pulling Amel's hand. “Sit down,” said Rendi after they were already in Kenan's room. Rendi was already sitting first on the sofa.
Amel nodded and immediately sat down in front of Rendi. “Why did you leave me?” kenan asked annoyed when he saw that Rendi and Amel were already in his room.
Rendi did not comment on Kenan's words. He only glanced at Kenan at a glance, after he sat down beside him. “You better work there, don't bother me!” drive Rendi.
“Heeyy, this is my room, that bothers it's you, not me!” kenan was upset.
Amel could only sigh while staring at them in exchange. “I don't care,” said Rendi indifferently.
Kenan stood up and looked at Rendi for a moment. “I'll be out for a while, you don't go home before I go back,” Kenan said as he walked towards the exit when he saw the nod from Rendi.
Rendi leaned her body on the sofa. “Why do you keep looking at me during meetings? You have made me unable to focus during the meeting,” said Rendi while looking at Amel.
“Ak-I only pay attention to you when you talk,” Amel said slowly.
“Never look at me like that again during a meeting. I almost made a mistake during the meeting" said Rendi "Didn't you know? I tried so hard to stay focused, but you just broke the contents in my head.”
The presence of Amel during the meeting made Rendi unable to concentrate. He suddenly felt a little nervous when he saw Amel was staring at him. His mind suddenly collapsed.
“Sorry brother,” said Amel slowly. Amel thinks that Rendi doesn't like it when she looks at him.
Rendi looked at Amel with a serious face. “Did you stare at Kenan like that when he was in charge?”
“No brother, I have only met once with Kenan,” explained Amel quickly.
Rendi tidied up her suit, then looked at Amel with a serious face. “Don't get too close to Kenan, he's my cousin. I don't like you getting too close to him. You can ruin your brotherhood later.”
“We're just friends Kak.”
“I just don't want him to like you later.”
Amel smiling. “That's impossible Brother, Where might he like someone like me. There are many more beautiful women out there. She is not blind Brother, Kenan can distinguish which one is beautiful and not,” explained Amel slowly.
“I'm also not blind Mel,” said Rendi does not like. Amel restrained his smile upon hearing Rendi's words.
“I also know Sister. I'm not saying that Brother is blind.”
“You were once my girlfriend, you indirectly said I was blind for ever liking you.”
“It's not like that brother I mean, you misunderstood.”
“Come out, do your job,” command Rendi while walking to her desk near Kenan's desk.
Amel sighed. “Good Kak” Amel walked out of Kenan's room, when he saw Rendi standing in front of a glass wall while looking at the outside view.
“You why?” kenan asked when he saw that Rendi seemed to just stand still and put his hand in his pants pocket.
Kenan had deliberately come out of his room to make room for Rendi and Amel to speak. He's waiting in Fadil's room. When he saw Amel coming out of his room, Kenan immediately walked into his room.
“Have you got Devan's data?” asked Rendi without turning to Kenan who was already standing next to her while sipping a soft drink.
Kenan. “I've asked someone to send you all the data, you just wait.”
“How about my mass with Amel?” ask Randy again.
“I know most of you because you told me before you were in surgery, but if you want to know the whole thing. You can ask Bela or Raka. They know everything.”
Rendi immediately turned to Kenan with her eyebrows intertwined. “Bela? The raka? Who are they?”
“Bela is the woman who is with Amel in front. He was the closest friend to Amel. If Raka is Amel's sister, not her brother, it's just that Amel already thinks of her like his own brother, but Amel does not know that Raka likes her.”
Rendi twisted her body slightly. “Do you have any photos of Raka?”
“You can see on the company's website. He is the CEO and owner of KL Group. There is his latest photo when he officially took over his family-owned company.”
Rendi immediately took the phone in her pocket. He was seen typing something on his phone screen. Rendi fell silent after seeing a photo of Raka when she was officially CEO at her father's company. There is a photo of Raka herself standing while smiling at the camera.
Rendi scrolls her phone screen down again, her hand stopping when she sees a photo of Raka standing with Amel to her left and Raka's parents to her right. It looks Raka is smiling while looking at Amel who is beside her.
Rendi stared at the photo for quite a while, then she put her phone again into her suit pocket.
“Why? Did your confidence suddenly disappear after seeing her good looks?” asked Kenan after seeing Rendi seemed to sigh after seeing the photo of Raka.
Rendi looked straight ahead, her eyes deep. “What Amel ever liked?” asked Rendi without looking at Kenan. He did not intend to answer the question posed by Kenan.
Kenan walked up to his desk and put down his soda can that he had spent. “No, they were only rumored to be dating before Amel became your girlfriend. In addition to Devan, he is also your toughest rival first" said Kenan.
"You've even fought him to the brunt and triggered bleeding in your brain because he hit your head hard several times,” is clear Kenan while sitting at his desk and turning his seat facing Rendi.
“What man still likes Amel?”
Rendi felt uneasy when she heard Kenan's story. Rendi felt her mood deteriorate, her feelings mixed at this moment. There was a feeling of fear, anxiety and jealousy in his heart. “Of course. She even stayed with Raka after your departure to America.”
Rendi turned to Kenan .”What..?? Goddamnit!” swear Rendi while clenching her hands.
Kenan walked straight to Rendi. He held onto Rendi's shoulder trying to calm Rendi who was seen starting to get emotional.
“They don't live together. She lives in Raka's house with her parents. They asked Amel to move there because Amel was devastated and kept locked up after your departure. They don't want anything to happen to Amel.”
Kenan immediately explained before Rendi misunderstood again. He was afraid that Rendi would fight again with Raka later.
Rendi looked down for a while then looked forward again. “Actually how many men like Amel?”
Kenan shrugged both of his shoulders. “Entahlah, which surely Raka is your toughest rival after Devan, even Amel once promised to marry Devan.”
Rendi's hands clenched again. “Do they have any plans to get married?” asked Rendi with a face without expression.
“Then I don't know. You should ask him, but you better not interfere with their problems. Let Amel live happily.”
Rendi stared intently at Raka. “I won't let go of him.”
*******
Kenan and Rendi nodded while walking towards Kenan's room. As Kenan held the door handle, he paused for a moment. "Mel, have you made a cooperation agreement with Jaya Utama company?"
"Already sir," replied Amel while nodding.
"All right, bring it to my room."
"Good Sir." Kenan and Rendi then walked inside.
"Mel, how is your relationship with Rendi's sister?" ask Bela when the door of Kenan's room is closed.
Amel sits back at his desk and searches for the file requested by Kenan. "No way, Bel. Yes gini aja. I'll find out if our relationship can be resolved or not."
There is still Friska between the two of them. For 5 years apart only Friska was next to Rendi. Maybe Randy's feelings have changed. Amel did not impose his feelings on Rendi if Rendi did not have the same feelings as him.
Bela held Amel's shoulder to strengthen her friend. "Mel, my advice, you never give up. Fight your love with Kak Rendi. Lo uda so far, wait for him for years, if you nyersh that way, you who lost. At least you used to."
Amel pensively for a moment. "Gue is confused too, Bel. He's the same fiancee Friska. I don't want to ruin their relationship and be the third person" said Amel with a grim face.
"Unfortunately can you remove the rendi for someone else?"
"Gue doesn't have to be Bel either. For now, I can only have the opportunity to squirm him off the deck."
They both fell silent. "Yes, get in there. Must have been waiting for Kenan."
Amel nodded then walked towards Kenan's room. As the door opened, Amel saw Kenan and Rendi sitting on the sofa chatting. "Excuse me Mr. Kenan. Here's the deal file." Amel took a step towards Kenan.
Kenan reached out his hand grabbing the paper he had in his hand. "Thank you Mel."
"Okay sir, then excuse me."
Kenan. "Wait." Rendi stopped the movement of Amel's legs that would step away.
Amel turned back. "Why is Kenan all you're talking about? You're pretending you didn't see me?" Rendi did not like to be ignored by Amel. Ever since he walked into Kenan's room. Amel seemed to ignore him and did not consider his existence.
"Sorry sir, I didn't mean it that way" Amel replied politely.
"Sir??" Rendi raised her voice when she heard Amel's call changing to her. He stood up and walked towards Amel. "You made me angry on purpose, didn't you?"
Kenan shook his head at his cousin's ridiculous behavior. "Is there something wrong with my call?" Amel looked confusedly at Rendi who was already standing in front of him.
"Never call me that. I don't like it!"
Unable to stand his cousin's attitude, Kenan finally opened his voice. "Ren, you're the owner of this company. It's only natural that Amel calls you that. It would be rude of him to call your name immediately."
Rendi glanced at Kenan, then turned to look at Amel up close. "Even though I am the owner, but I don't work here so you don't have to call me by that word. Do you understand?"
"Then I have to call with what?" ask Amel carefully.
"Call me as you always call me."
Amel lowered his head avoiding Rendi's gaze. "Good Sir. I mean Brother," quickly errat Amel.
"Mel, you better go back to your desk before he asks you for anything weird" Kenan said.
Amel nodded and immediately walked out of Kenan's room. "You're what's wrong? Don't bother. He can feel uncomfortable later" Kenan said after Amel left.
Kenan turned around and sat down casually in his seat originally. "Don't interfere with my business with him" said Rendi while glancing lazily at Kenan.
"As far as you are. I want to work." Kenan walks his desk.
"When does my desk come? Didn't I say that I would come here every day to watch over you and check the condition of this company."
Kenan who had just sat in his chair, looked annoyed at Rendi. "Ren, I know what's in your brain. You came here on purpose every day to keep an eye on Amel?"
"Don't think no-no" replied Rendi lazily.
Kenan sighed. "Your relationship is long over. Don't bother him anymore. Let her be happy with her life right now."
Rendi looked at Kenan. "It was he who disturbed my life. Ever since I met him. The shadow always comes to mind. His face I could never get out of my mind. He's the one who's got the peace of my life."
Rendi's face looked slightly depressed and desperate. Leaning his body on the sofa while closing his eyes. "Actually what kind of relationship I used to have with him to the point of making me unable to sleep because I kept thinking about him."
Kenan looked at Rendi in silence. He frowned for a moment and said, "Maybe you're just curious about her until you think about her all the time. Better keep your distance from him. Your relationship was dated 5 years ago. Remember, you'll soon be married to Kila."
Rendi did not reply, she still closed her eyes. I don't know what he's thinking right now, which is for sure his face looks like he's thinking hard.
At lunchtime, Rendi asks Kenan to call Amel. "Excuse me sir." Amel walked into Kenan's room after knocking on the door.
"Mother's got me?" Amel walked towards Kenan's desk.
Before Kenan answered, Rendi interrupted first. "I called you."
Amel stopped his steps and turned to Rengi. "Cabin." Rendi moved the fingers towards him.
Amel gave a moment to Kenan, when he saw Kenan nod, Amel just walked towards Rendi. "Why Brother?" Amel near Rendi.
"Have you eaten?"
"Not yet."
Rendi got up from her seat and pulled Amel's hand. "Guide me eat."
"Ren, what about me? You didn't bring me too?" kenan shouted as he saw that Rendi had already reached the door.
Rendi stopped her steps then turned to Kenan. "You eat by yourself. I don't want to be bothered by you."
"How very much you're with me. Just watch out for you. I won't want to help you again. Don't look for me if you have a problem" cried Kenan in a loud voice, but unfortunately the door was closed.
Kenan did not stop cursing Rendi who had left him alone. Elsewhere, Rendi had already done her car to a restaurant near her office.
