Love For Him

Love For Him
Devan's Story

"Why are we here?" friska asked as Devan's car pulled up right in front of the Aerospace University.

"I'll have a meeting." Devan gets out of the car, followed by Friska.

"This cube is yours?" Friska followed Devan's steps into the tall, blue building.

"Heemm," muttered Devan.

"Devan!" I heard someone calling Devan's name. They both looked at the origin of the voice.

"You just came?" devan asked the beautiful woman who was already standing in front of him. That woman is Stefani. His college friend and co-worker

"Yeah. This who?" show Stefani to Friska. He stared at Friska for a long time.

Why is he staring at me? Is he jealous of me? Who the hell does he think he is?

"He's Amel's friend." Friska turned to Devan.

Heeii's...Since when have I been friends with Amel? He just wants to talk.

"Ohh.. Then let's go. The meeting will begin soon." Stefani does know Amel because he and Devan were apprentice teachers at Amel's school.

"You go first Stef. I'll take Friska first to my room."

Stefani seemed silent for a moment. "alright. I'll be waiting for you in the meeting room."

Devan nodded. Devan stepped back into his room. "She seems to like you!" said Friska while continuing to follow Devan's steps.

"Don't talk nonsense." Devan grabbed the door of his room. "Come in." Devan opened the door of his room wide.

"You wait here. Don't go anywhere. I'll be in a meeting first." Devan actually felt the sense of dodging Friska alone in her room. She thought that Friska could have left when she was in a meeting.

"Yeah." Yeah." Friska sat on the single sofa in Devan's room.

"You can watch television or take a break during a meeting."

"All right."

Devan leaves Friska alone in her room.

Devan held the meeting for over 3 hours. When he finished, he walked straight into his room.

Devan is shocked when he does not find Friska in his room. He had expected that Friska would run away from him.

Devan walks into the security room. "Devan.. Where are you going?" Stefani stops Devan's move.

"I want to find Friska, she's gone. I have to go first Stef." Devan walked quickly.

Devan goes into the control room. There were several officers standing guard there. "Check all the CCTV of the campus area. Find this woman." Devan showed Friska's face on her phone screen.

The photo was taken when Kenan asked him to send a recent photo of Friska.

"Good, Sir." For 10 minutes they kept checking the CCTV one by one.

"That's Master. He's in the courtyard of the Faculty of Law building, "appoint the officer who is checking the CCTV.

Devan immediately walked towards Friska's location with quick steps. "What are you doing here? Are you planning on running away from me?" devan said in a high tone.

"I just want to take a walk. I'm tired of waiting in your room." Devan thinks that Friska wants to trick him.

"You should have waited until I finished the meeting. I can take you for a walk if you're bored." Devan is still upset with Friska.

Friska. "Why are you getting mad at me?"

"You pissed me off." Devan immediately pulled Friska's hand. "We better get home now." They're walking towards Devan's car. Friska can only follow Devan's steps from behind.

The car stopped at a shopping mall. “What are we here for?” ask Friska wonder.

Devan looked at Friska. “Down.” Devan seems reluctant to explain to Friska his destination to the shopping center.

Friska stared at Devan. He chose to be quiet. He only follows Devan from behind as they begin to enter the mall. Devan quickly set foot.

“Devan, wait!” Friska couldn't keep up with Devan's footsteps.

Devan looked back for a moment. “Are you a snail? Why is your road so slow?” devan asked as he continued walking. He had no intention of waiting for Friska who seemed to be running small after him.

“Awass you yes! Just look at nant. I'll reply you,” grumbled Friska with a pouting face.

Devan appears to be entering one with a well-known brand. “Good day, Sir. Can I help you?” ask the store clerk with a big smile and a sumringah face.

Devan looked back. He pulled the end of Friska's sleeve until her body shifted closer to her body. “Find the right clothes for this woman,” said Devan calmly.

Friska stared at Devan. He sees Devan looking innocent at all for pulling his shirt so he almost hit Devan's body.

Female officers to bow. “Good, Sir. Please wait a minute.” The officer left Devan Friska.

“You don't have to buy me a shirt."

"In my apartment there are no more women's clothes. Do you want to wear my shirt?"

"don't want. I can buy it myself. You think I don't have money,” Friska said.

Devan stepped towards the sofa then sat down lazily. “Then please pay for yourself,” said Devan indifferently then sat leaning back while staring at the screen of his phone.

Friska walked up to Devan and sat down next to him. “Why don't you ask me first if you want to buy clothes?”

Devan turned his gaze from his phone screen towards Friska. “Will you respond to me if I ask you first? You can't even eat right. Do you think you can take care of yourself when you're busy messing up your life?”

“I'm not messing with my life. I just need time to be alone.”

Devan laughed cynically. “Do you think the act of ending a life, not including messing up a life?”

Devan looked at Friska with a flat face. He was waiting for a reply that would be thrown from the mouth of the woman next to him.

“You won't understand why I did it.” Friska looked down with a sad face. He again remembered with Rendi who had now become someone else's.

“I am the one who knows best how you feel right now. Amel and I were close from childhood. He even promised to marry me when we were kids. Our parents agreed to marry us when we were adults. Separated long enough for a reason and then met again with different circumstances. She loved another man and eventually married the one she loved. Your story with me is almost the same. The difference is that I can be clear-minded, even though my heart is very broken and you are not. I'm still trying to keep looking okay in front of him.” Devan stopped his words.

“Do you think I moved to Eingapore just for a reason to take care of my papa company? Not Friska. I moved there to get my life back. If I could be selfish, I'd take Amel away with me. Her parents gave me their blessing at the time. I even registered my marriage with her, but saw Amel unhappy. My heart is in pain. It is better for me to feel it than to see it unhappy living with me.”

Devan's face seemed to turn into cloudy and gloomy instantly. He recalls when he almost married Amel. Maybe if that time he remained on his decision, Amel would not be as good as he is now when he is with Rendi.

Friska turned to Devan who was looking straight down. There was guilt in Friska's heart for bringing up wounds that might not have dried up yet but she easily scraped them back.

“Sorry, I don't know.” Naturally Friska did not know, because they did not know each other before. They only met face to face a few times.

Devan changed his face. “You should appreciate your life more. You have everything. Actually, you just need to be patient. Maybe later you will meet a man who deserves you, who can love you sincerely. Better to let go of Rendi. Let him be happy with his choice. Pain indeed, but sometimes we have to relieve the pain first before getting real happiness.”

“Excuse me, Sir,” interrupted the female employee of the store.

Devan and Friska turned their heads. “This shirt, please see, Tuan” The employee brought many clothes with a variety of models that are popular today.

Devan stands. “Wrap it all.”

The officer nodded. “Good, Sir. Please make payment to our cashier who is there,” appoint the female employee politely.

Devan followed the steps of the female officer. While Friska still looked pensive. He had not realized that Devan was no longer beside him.

Devan stopped his steps, when he saw Friska had not yet woken up from her seat. “Do you want to sit there until the store closes?”

Friska raised her head. “You think I don't have a job?” friska said with an annoyed face. He then follows Devan's steps from behind.
