Sleeping Beauty Wants The Throne

Sleeping Beauty Wants The Throne
29. Unexpected Event

Arriving at Brighton, they immediately returned to their respective places. Exceeding expectations, the Grand Duke's castle actually looked the largest and most majestic in the northwestern city of Sormenia. Naturally, his rank as Grand Duke was top notch in Brighton, followed by Ochonner as an accomplice and continued down.

If the Grand Duke returns to his study and Ochonner is locked up with a pile of new documents, Luz can't keep quiet. After being satisfied to look around the narrow mansion of Ochinner and arrange his room, he came back out and called the carriage like a taxi.

"Train, I need a train!" Luz waved his hand, trying to stop the horse's footsteps.

Luz doesn't have to behave like that.

"Round around Brighton, after that just take me to the store that the Grand Duke wants to give."

After the carriage of a size that could only fit one person moved, Luz opened the curtain, letting the sunlight enter his carriage while paying attention to the pile of work of the people out there.

Just like urban in general, on the right and left side of the road is filled with big stores of elite weaponry that become an icon for Brighton. Any type of gun transaction is legal, provided the buyer is eligible and has a license.

Oh, so this is where Grand Duke's hobby of collecting weapons is channeled.

After passing through the big shops, now they passed a large monument in the center of the city. A gigantic shield statue that had a crown on its top looked solidly sculpted there, absolutely beautiful and amazing. Luz thought the giant shield was made of real bronze. Around the monument is also overgrown with ornamental plants whose flowers can bloom in every season.

Ah, if I had brought a camera, I would have taken all the monuments here and upon returning to New York, the crazy pictures here would have been shown to my father, swishing Luz in the heart.

Luz silently watched the blue sky that brought the early autumn cold to earth.

Honestly in the depths of his heart, Luz misses Ken Anderson, his father. And Erickson.

Is there really no way back?

But one thing stuck in Luz's mind. Where did the real Odyssey go?

Without notice, the train he was riding stopped in front of a large new building. The outer wall is painted pink and white with a wallpaper-like accent. Luz secretly cursed, pink again?!

Before parting ways, the Grand Duke had given him a key to this two-storied shop. After successfully opening, Luz entered into his prospective shop alone to ascertain whether the promise of Grand Duke —who said this place is complete and big— in accordance with the actual circumstances or not.

But after entering deeper, Luz's level of vigilance increased when the sound of the door closing from the top floor was heard. It was impossible if it was caused by a gust of wind, because the entire window was still tightly locked.

Then there was a sound of goods falling right on the same floor with the door that closed itself earlier.

Luz prayed as best he could. God, don't let a ghost come here to scare me. Honestly, I rarely worship You but help me now, O God, ask Luz seriously.

But there's no point in him standing here doing nothing. With the slightest step possible, Luz climbed the steps that encircled a giant pillar in the middle of the room one by one. As much as possible does not cause sound, inversely proportional to his heart that is beating hard. Plus the room is dark, adding to Luz's adrenaline to see what's up there.

A cold sweat drenched his forehead while in front of a door that Luz believed the voice had come from here. Slowly he turned the doorknob, pushed it, and swerved.

A ghost was standing in front of the window!

"Gentlemen, please don't appear in front of me again. Now that I'm really scared because of that ugly face of yours, hurry up and go or God will punish you!" Luz inched backwards while taking out all of his absorbent vows. "Get on, go, demon!"

"Miss de Cera?"

Luz sculpting. Slowly he shifted his gaze and found the Grand Duke was looking at him strangely.

"I should ask why you're here, because working hours start tomorrow, not now," the Grand Duke replied while putting back the book he had dropped a while ago on the table.

"Then what is it?" Luz pointed towards the white silhouette that was in front of the window.

"That's glass," the Grand Duke replied inexhaustibly. "Everything is new, so the workers haven't had time to open the cover."

Jesus, Luz is really embarrassed!

From afar, the glass —which happens to be as tall as an adult— looks like a body that stands stiff, but it turns out ... Ah, no need to discuss it anymore, Luz had already lost face in front of the Grand Duke.

"I'm going home." Luz turned around, trying to disappear as soon as possible from this place.

"A moment" said Alastair quickly and opened a bottom shelf containing many piles of books. "It would be weird if all these books were put down. It just so happens that you're here, what if you help me put all the books in the top closet?"

"Where's the top?"

"There." Alastair pointed to a large shelf beside the glass that was still wrapped in cloth earlier. "Save the book there."

"You crazy?" ask Luz slowly. He looked up and said, "His fingers are very high. How do I get there?"

"There's a ladder there." Alastair pointed at a blocked staircase behind the door.

"Why should I, why not just use the waiter?!"

"There's only us here. Oh, I'm dropping this book off." Alastair handed over the book he had read with pleasure. "And yes .. not always the servant can help his master complete this task-it. Once in a while her employer had to study independently."

"That's right," Luz murmured but he could do nothing but do what the Grand Duke told him to do. He took the stairs with a heavy heart, then carried the books one by one up there.

"Welcome to work, I'd like to check out another room. Good bye."

Luz flicked his lips as Alastair turned around without closing the door. Luz thought, after this work was done, his legs would be broken because not one or two books he had to move.

There are seventy books!

Time continued to roll while the books he compiled stayed a little. There are six more books left and Luz is really tired. Can he bring all six books without going back and forth twice?

If not tried, then do not know. With a desperate capital, Luz piled up the thick books and slowly climbed the stairs one by one. His breath was restrained, while his hands did not hold on to the stairs at all.

"How, has it been sele— Hey, be careful!"

Be late. Shocked by Alastair's heavy voice, Luz failed to maintain his balance until the stairs he was leaning along swayed. Not having time to grab the handle, Luz was resigned if his body hit the floor by a landslide.

But that did not happen because Alastair tried to swiftly catch him from below.

And then, the most unfortunate thing happened. Either because of the panic that Alastair did not have time to think things through, Luz actually landed in his arms. But the woman could not resist gravity, like a goddess descending from the sky, Luz fell but her lips landed right on Alastair's forehead until the man's face was made red.

Life is ridiculous and the white man is losing face. For the earth, please swallow Luz now!
