The next morning Luz was getting ready at the dinner table. In a maroon dress, she tapped her fingers on the table as if impatiently waiting for Ochonner to come down and eat together. At first glance Luz watched the door, and it coincided with the person he was looking for entering with a furrowed eyebrow.
"What day is it today?"
Alternately Luz who frowned. "That's weird. Why ask?"
"It's not usually you sit first in the dining room." Ochonner took a seat directly across from Luz. "Usually after I ordered the waiter to call you, you just got up and went down to breakfast."
"Hey, at such an hour I usually wake up, you know." Luz grumbling. "Only sometimes I prefer to laze in bed."
Ochonner muttered, "What's the difference."
Luz heard it but he only snorted in annoyance. A second later, his face brightened again but Ochonner's premonition turned bad.
"I'll go to the palace after this."
Ochonner choked on his apple juice. "For what?"
"For title endorsement." Luz casually grabbed the peeled fruits and put them in his mouth. "And meet the crown prince. Not for long, just for a second."
"Why did you meet him?" jolt Ochonner was shocked. "You have no relationship."
"We have a relationship, you don't know" Luz replied. "It's not till night, Chonner. So it doesn't matter, does it."
"God, you know, he can't love one woman, Odyssey." Ochonner sighed resignedly. "And again, since when have you guys been close?"
"I kind of forgot .. ah, that's. At your party home from the war. We danced and got acquainted."
"If you're just friends, it's fine but don't get too close to him" Ochonner said seriously. "There have been many women who have been victimized by the lure of the queen's throne. But finally what, those used women were instantly thrown away after she got bored."
Luz thought, Ochonner's words were terrible enough if it really happened to him. It is true, Evandre's mouth was very shrewd to ensnare the hearts of women. So sweet and full of praise, behave like a gentleman who after a long time finally found true love.
Luz already knows Oconner enough and believes him because he's Odyssey's twin brother, but if the crown prince....
Luz doesn't want to be someone else's ex.
"I understand," Luz replied in the end. He finished his orange juice quickly and then moved. "I'll go first. See you soon."
"Odyssey, finish your breakfast first!"
"I'm full!" reply Luz no less loud.
To be honest, Luz felt Ochonner's attitude was very similar to his father's in New York. Always if Luz's breakfast wasn't over, then Ken Anderson would yell at his daughter from the dinner table and Luz would answer with the same answer as before.
Huft, missing home is not endless.
...----------------...
Windy sunny weather can make Luz's mood better. The woman clasped tightly the document about her already legitimate title of being the new Crystal Lady with a feeling of relief. At least one rung of the ladder to his perfect ambition had already passed.
"Your Highness isn't in her room, My Lady."
Luz stopped stepping. "Where is the crown prince now?"
Well, it's nice to watch people archery even though Luz wants to try, but she never holds a bow. "Please take me there."
"Through here, My Lady."
Luz passed through the south hallway of the palace which branched out like a huge labyrinth filled with expensive ornaments stuck on top of the walls. In the auction section, Cupid's sculpture with the typical love arrow he carries looks so realistic and three-dimensional. In addition, there is no need to be afraid if you are in the dark because along the hall stands a beautiful chandelier that is only separated by small pillars.
The waiter opened a double door that was located roughly to the southeast of the palace. "I'll notify your arrival to His Royal Highness."
Luz nodded then the maid entered first with a more gentle demeanor. After some time of waiting, he was allowed to enter.
Luz blinked as sunlight gnawed in through his retina. After his vision was clear enough, Luz realized that this place was perfect.
The vast super duper green field framed canary squeaks and arrow targets everywhere further heightens Luz's upheaval to try the sport of archery. On the sidelines, the man Luz was looking for seemed to be smiling brightly as his crown princess candidate came over. With a bag of arrows hanging from his back and a bow that exceeded half the height of Luz's body, Evandre approached intimately until he told all his centuries to come out.
"A very special surprise when I saw a beautiful angel like you willingly go out into the open like this" Evandre said, then grabbed Luz's back hand and kissed her. "How are you, Crystal Lady?"
Luz is still pretty weird about his new title. But he only smiled faintly, then replied, "Always feel good when you are with the Crown Prince."
One same. The seduction against seduction, who will win?
Evandre chuckled amusedly. "I love how you look today." She stared at the maroon dress Luz was wearing without blinking from top to bottom and continued by whispering, "It's beautiful especially if I can feel how slim your body is."
Now Luz believes a hundred percent in Ochonner's remarks this morning. Evandre turns out to be just a crazy guy who wants the benefits of the woman he wants. Really uncivilized!
Evandre released his bow then moved closer and closer. The gaze of his blue eyeballs sharpened, just like the gaze of a lion on the prey he had just obtained. Luz felt the alarm omen of danger buzzing in his mind, he must not get entangled with the crown prince the damn Evandre.
"Ochonner has already picked me up, crown prince." Luz lightly pushed Evandre's chest to create some distance between them. For a moment his focus stopped on a sword brooch with an amethyst stone hanging beautifully on Evandre's chest, the brooch he once gave the man. "Actually I came here just to miss you, really. If nothing bothers you, maybe next time we can spend some time together?"
At least Luz can save himself for today even if he dares to lie.
"Ochonner can wait," Evandre replied impatiently. "Come on, just stay with me for a second. No one here will know what we're doing."
"I can't give you anything before the wedding" Luz blatantly refused. "Please respect my decision."
Evandre locks Luz's movements. His hands were on both his left and right sides until the woman could not move anywhere. Evandre growled stifled, "Aren't you sincerely in love with me, Odyssey. You just want the throne, so. I can give marriage and everything for you but you .. You don't want to sacrifice even a little for me?"
"It's not the sacrifice the future queen will face." Luz approached, as if to kiss her until Evandre's grip on the door loosened. A split second the man let his guard down and Luz immediately took the opportunity by opening the door, releasing Evandre's arm which blocked him and made it out.
As expected, Evandre's servants were still standing outside in an orderly manner. They were astonished to see Luz coming out the door like a little rabbit coming out of a tiger's den.
Luz cheering. If it was this crowded, Evandre would not dare to touch it.
"Thank you for your time, Your Highness." Luz looked down respectfully. "If there's free time, can we meet again?"
"Of course" Evandre replied, though his heart ached a little for Luz's rejection just now. "Other times I'll pay a visit to the mansion of Lord de Cera, how beautiful?"
"Agreed." Luz smiled broadly. "I'll excuse you then. See you soon, crown prince."
Luz turned away and immediately the fake smile he made faded. What the hell, how could such a terrible man be the crown prince, the future successor of the king. He's just having trouble holding back lust, how if in the future later — when he was king— there was chaos in the palace while he was in such uncontrolled lust. Maybe the kingdom will be destroyed because of the king who is married hobby!
Foolishly learning archery, Luz would rather go home and prepare the ingredients for his shop than spend time with the crazy Evandre.
