Sleeping Beauty Wants The Throne

Sleeping Beauty Wants The Throne
7. First Mission

And this is where he's the day after Luz officially lives in his new world. Armed with an empty basket and Rose beside him, he had already started the day by sneaking out. No need for permission from the Marchioness, she could exit the southern gate easily.

Aih, do not underestimate the karate knowledge that he has traveled to the black belt but besides that, Luz is also good at escaping from closed rooms. He used to attend military training for two years so trivial things like climbing walls and so on were just simple problems.

But things take a complicated turn when Rose comes with him.

"Miss, I dare not go down!" shouted Rose who was sitting stiffly on top of the eight-meter-high gate.

Luz had calculated it. Rose won't get hurt —maybe a little— if she lands correctly on top of a pile of dried leaves. Luz's spinning the brain, there's gotta be another way Rose can get down.

"Miss, don't leave me!" she strangled again when she realized Luz was walking further and further away.

"I want to find a ladder for you, or you want to stay up there forever?" Luz was upset. "And one more. Just yell as loud as possible for the guards to come and arrest you."

Hearing Luz's sarcasm, Rose was finally able to sit quietly on the high wall while nodding obediently. A bit of unwillingness gnawed at his heart as he watched Luz walk further and further away in search of a tool. And again, Rose felt bad. Where is the employer helping his servant? Nothing, except the Odyssey de Cera.

"Look at what we found here."

Rose looked stiffly into the gate. Down there Athene, who was patrolled by her servant, was standing high-handed with a satisfied expression. In contrast to Rose, which he now makes pias.

"Very loyal to your stupid employer, huh? Hurry down now or you'll do something to the Marchioness!"

"S-I don't dare to go down, miss.." Rose replied quivering in fear.

"Basic liar. The waiter quickly pull him!"

The two maids standing behind Athene nodded and began to tug at Rose's feet violently. It didn't take long, Rose's defense collapsed and he instantly fell right on the ground without any help. Her bones crumpled but the thing she was most worried about was her young lady who was definitely still busy looking for help out there.

"Why do you follow him, you want to be free from a job at a manor house, right?" athene snapped without mercy when Rose suffered a fracture in the right arm that was accidentally crushed by falling in the wrong position.

"S-I don't intend it that way," Rose replied softly.

"Lying again. The servant and the master are the same, usually living only as a burden." Athene looked back. "Take my favorite whip. Let's see where Odyssey's servants can survive."

"J-don't.." said Rose in fear.

"This is the result if you always follow his orders. I'll put a sign on your body to let the woman know that she shouldn't be looking for trouble with Athene."

Athene still felt vengeful. The treatment of Odyssey the other day still has not been reciprocated with a proper lesson.

Athene had just received the whip she had requested from her servant but soon Odyssey was standing before her. The girl's expression was far from friendly or forgiving. It was as if he was the one who was going to punish the Crystal Lady.

"What do you want to do to him."

"Punish him, then what else?"

"As soon as you remind her of your position, you're nothing to her so step aside, don't block our path."

"Is it so lonely of you that you want to hang out with the waiter?" Athene raised her chin high with a slight smile. "As long as you know, your position is actually no higher than theirs."

Luz's blood is boiling. If Athene lived in modern times he might have been blasphemed by the masses because of his bad nature.

"Who say you can take someone else?"

"Uh?"

"Let me tell you." Still with a haughty expression, Athene explained, "There was no agreement before if you could take your servant away with you. So don't spoil it and go alone!"

"You...."

"Why? Getting angry?"

Luz averted her gaze by watching Rose who was holding her right arm. The pain was imprinted on Rose's frightened face. There was no other choice but to let Rose remain in Thompsville's manor house until she recovered.

"Well, it doesn't matter I'll go alone."

Rose looked at him worriedly.

"Wise choice, stupid girl. Go there quickly!"

"Rose, treat yourself to a full recovery, ok. I go first" he said to Rose, who always sits on the ground.

Although Rose did not understand what 'Ok' was, but in the end she still nodded. "Be careful. I don't want you to woe at all."

Rose handed Luz a piece of cloth she planned to bring with her. In fact, on this trip he was not allowed to come along and fear may continue to bully him until Luz returned to the Thompsville manor house without any shortcomings.

"Everything will be fine!" Luz smiled widely, greeted the bundle of cloth and left without saying a word to Athene who was wide-eyed as she watched him jump over the fence of the Thompsville manor house easily.

During his life, Athene knew very well that Odyssey de Cera had never learned physical endurance or anything from childhood!

...----------------...

After jumping over the fence of the manor house, Luz dizzy looking for a place to change his clothes. Actually, what he wears now is the simplest dress, but it feels less fitting if he wears a dress here and there because of course it will slow down his steps if something happens.

Luz replaced her dress with a long-sleeved canal plus pants and heels to complete her look that was much different from the Odyssey she was familiar with. His crystal-white hair was neatly curled and kept behind the headgear he wore. Well, in this way is not much more practical than a wide dress with high heels?

The first plan Luz will make make up of the plants around here. He needs berries or cherries also no matter the important color can be processed durable and of course; colored around pink.

As capital, Luz brought all the remaining jewelry on the dresser and planned to sell it. Think of it as reckless Luz, but does not make one type of make up just need not a little money?

Acres of green plantation land spoiled the eyes enough as Luz walked beside her. In New York, such a place does not exist. There is already filled with giant factories that do not stop operating every day until it feels like making oxygen depleted. No hypocrisy, Luz also contributed to the depletion of oxygen by having several skyscrapers from her cosmetics brand that has been worldwide.

There are many professionals working for him, but not a few consumers are actually more satisfied with the workmanship of Luz himself so he does not hesitate to intervene to provide the best results for clients on their important day. But all of that certainly has a price, and people who dare to rent it are usually not far from Hollywood actors and singers who often mill around at the Grammy Award.

But an important day for Luz himself ran aground in the middle of the road. He and Erickson are not meant to be together. This is all because of Fucking Manuel who turned out to be a surprise. He's not a human, but a monster that breaks down Luz's way of life.

After almost getting married on that day, Luz felt hesitant to try to remarry. He is also afraid to open up in this medieval world, afraid that when everything ends happily he will return to the real world without anything. Like trying hard to a hundred but thrown back to zero. Vain.

His life is long. Luz had no idea what was waiting for him out there.
