The day keeps rolling from day to day. For a week, no one is allowed to wear colored clothing. Today is the fourth day when Luz invited the two ladies who suddenly became his friends while on debutante. (Episode 46)
With a blooming black dress and trumpet-shaped sleeves, Luz smiled sweetly among the range of pastries provided. The aroma of green tea emanates from behind the teapot, able to warm the mood of anyone sitting in a row of chairs. In the middle of the table, placed a vase of clay flowers that spoil the eyes. Thanks to Luz's touch, Ochonner's mansion looks fresher.
Esme Whitney as usual greeted the beginning of the meeting cheerfully, "I didn't expect to be invited here." He turned quickly to Debora Carter. "Please pinch me. It's not a dream, is it?!"
"Whitney, please don't be like the village girl." Debora looked at him lazily then smiled gently as she directed her gaze at Luz who was sitting at the end of the table as the host. "I'm sorry for his lack of spirit, Milady."
"No problem. Aren't we friends, so there's no need to hesitate," Luz replied kindly.
"You heard it yourself, didn't you." Esme stuck out her tongue. "Crystal Lady alone doesn't mind."
Don't think Deborah's not as happy as Esme. The woman was actually about to scream hysterically when yesterday she got the Crystal Lady invitation letter from the butler. Debora is getting impatient to meet Ochonne— uh she means Lady Odyssey.
Oh yeah, by the way where's that Crystal Lady's brother? Since then, his existence has not been seen at all. Debora wanted to meet him.
"Aish, don't fight, ok?" Luz then called the waiter to bring him a special tea. "Here comes the drink of pride from Brighton. Cherry extract tea. Wanna try?"
"Of course!"
"What a son. The tea here is very different!" Esme put her teacup back after sipping it in half. "By the way, milady. You don't usually call us here. Is there something we need to do?"
Deborah suddenly threw a sharp shot that Esme responded no less fierce.
Luz laughed lightly. "Ah, Miss Whitney is very clever. Understand what I mean without having to be at length."
Hearing the compliments thrown from the lips of his idol, suddenly made Esme's cheeks blush red.
Deborah who saw Esme's change can only be deluded. He looked back at Luz more seriously. "If you may know, what is it, My lady?"
"Look this." Luz put his cup back on a small peony-patterned plate. "I heard that your family is from the leadership of the military forces ...."
...----------------...
Once again Alastair noticed the paper with doodles in front of him while occasionally adding a few scratches on the paper. His eyes are scrutinizing. Since sharing the assignment two days ago, Alastair has never again seen Luz around him.
The woman was at the palace —not just— to meet the queen who is still mourning. There's something he needs to do there. Obviously just as busy as he is Luz is the brain behind the assault strategy.
Well, sometimes miss not knowing the situation.
"Grand Duke, the fireworks and other stuff you asked for are already there. Now especially?"
Alastair Daydreams. He turned his gaze towards Ochonner who was still standing in the doorway with both hands raising a box containing various tools.
"Olesion all the sword eyes with poison. Bring some in your pocket just in case."
The son of de Cera nodded in understanding. After putting down the things he had previously brought, Ochonner again lifted his foot from the room. While descending the stairs, he saw the Duke of Lancess coming from the opposite direction.
"Your Grace," she said kindly. "You're coming."
Louis Georgetown, the Duke of Lancess, nodded. "Is His Grace here?"
"Alright, then excuse me."
Getting a nod from Ochonner, Louis rushed over the steps so that in an instant he was already on the second floor of the Grand Duke's castle. A dragon-carved door greeted him. Louis knocked a few times. Once there is a command from the inside, then the man dared to push the door hinge and enter into it.
"Oh, Lances." Alastair looked up for a while before returning to focus on the paper before him. "Hurry up and come here. How's the harbor going, are those mysterious chests still roaming free?"
"The figure is very much reduced, Your Grace. You managed to suppress the crown prince's movements." After saying this, Louis decided to sit on one of the rattan benches not far from Alastair.
"The crown prince is nothing without the king's help." Alastair then chuckled while shaking faintly, "Evandre ... Evandres. So foolish was he that his own strength he killed. Uh, or am I the one who needs to thank him for paving my way?"
"But there are still some things to suspect."
"Oh yeah, what is that?"
"After the king's death, many newcomers from outside countries were free to enter Sormenia" Louis said. "They look very striking. If I didn't have a check-free card, I would have sent them back home."
"They have a free-check card, who gave it?"
"Yesterday I had a conversation with one of their entourage while sitting in a coastal tavern." The Duke of Lancess had an awkward thud before returning to continue his words. "The Crown Prince himself offered them the card. And according to the written data, the Crown Prince gave the legal permission exactly on the same day as His Majesty's death."
Alastair nodded. "Now I understand. Evandre was putting a new person inside the palace secretly."
Louis was surprised, "Really, for what?!"
"To add troops," said Alastair short. "Say, what's the character of the company you saw at the harbor?"
"They were wearing clothes from the skin of a beast barefoot. And most strikingly, they have a height above that of humans in general."
"The People of Authoris ..." sizzled Alastair sure. "Because of drinking human blood, they have enormous power. Immediately order Ochonner to command an additional army from the east!"
The Duke of Lancess immediately lowered his head, taking orders.
"If not immediately exterminated, the idiot who wanted the throne would turn into a demon."
Alastair's face displayed tensed veins, getting more serious in the face of this. Evandre's not messing around. Opening the entrance of Sormenia to the barbarians was tantamount to him allying with them. Nation traitors. Sacrificing innocent lives for money. There was no speed for him to lead.
Perhaps it was time for Alastair to seize what was already his. After decades of being forced to sit quietly to witness injustice. Instead of being weak, Alastair simply waited for the right time and a huge reinforcements to do so.
Tonight, Sormenia was back.
