Sleeping Beauty Wants The Throne

Sleeping Beauty Wants The Throne
8. Goddess Fortuna Is Not Siding With Luz

His amethyst bead was rolling in spirit. Luz has never set foot into a traditional market and here he can feel the friendly atmosphere, the small talk of the people around him makes him quickly familiar with the new environment in minutes.

The sales booths are neatly arranged on the right and left side of the road. All sellers are trying to attract as many buyers as possible to buy at least a dozen of their merchandise. Some sort of implied competition between sellers. Unfortunately, none of the sellers made Luz interested in stopping.

"Do you want to find jewelry for women? We're providing engagement rings to antique conde stitches here."

Forehead Luz shriveling. The merchant was clearly looking towards him but ... Luz's a girl.

Is it possible because of her appearance that tends to be far from the word feminine? His current clothes clearly reflect that he is a man according to this century.

"Me?" luz said as she pointed to herself in doubt.

"Yes, sir, let's see my stuff."

Luz approached, looking at the goods sold by the seller. The average item sold is indeed a type of luxury jewelry such as sapphire bracelets or black diamond necklaces. If she sells her jewelry here, Luz is sure she will get a fair price.

Unfortunately, before all Luz's plans were realized a foreign man ran towards him until a bag of Luz's jewelry fell right into the middle of the road. Luz was of course shocked, but soon someone from the same direction came running to chase after the first man while shouting that the person he was chasing was a thief.

One thing Luz thought was good luck was on his side because the bag was tied so tightly that not a single piece of jewelry fell to the ground. He didn't have to bother picking them up one by one.

The matter of those two Luz didn't really care. She prioritized her precious jewelry. Luz always thought so but it happened before the cavalry suddenly came from the opposite direction and trampled the Luz pocket to formless. The only hope for making make up has been lost!

"Hey, you can't go. Get rid of it now!"

The troops were so fast, they did not hear Luz's shouts of dust. Shortly one last man who was late trying to catch up with the troops in front of him and yep, the sound of 'crack' again sounded from inside the bag.

For his actions and those of his friends, Luz will not let go of this last man!

"So arrogant sir, get off your horse and compensate me for all my stuff you've stolen!" Luz's anger certainly exploded. Who would not be emotionless if in an instant his entire precious treasure was destroyed.

The last man to break his jewelry voluntarily got off the horse. He has a caramel brown mane and a topaz-like gaze not yet sanded, sharp and rough. But Luz's name if afraid, the girl actually stood up with a defiant attitude.

"Gra—"

"I'll take care of it. You just go home with the others, "the man replied quickly before his friend the black mane finished speaking.

"Well, be careful," the message was short and he left on his horse at the command of the topaz.

"You're in trouble with me, sir."

Topaz looked and frowned. "De Cera?"

Luz glares. How did he know?!

"I don't understand what you mean. Now quickly compensate for the destruction of my sister's bracelets!" pinta Luz was angry and evaded.

Luz lied. The bracelet belonged to him but if he were to be honest this guy could have been suspicious further. Just look at Luz knowing if this person is definitely not an ordinary person, looks very meticulous and tends to be careful in taking every step. He did not want to risk his disguise being known to outsiders.

"I haven't even had time to count the total valuables," Luz replied fiercely, "So if you want to pay for it, I think you know enough yourself to pay for it at or more than the market price."

"The problem is that your bracelets have been crushed unceremoniously." The topaz pointed towards Luz's camper bag that was lying in the middle of the road. "It wasn't entirely my fault, after all. Already know expensive, why do you even put valuables in the middle of the road when the cavalry want to pass? Ah, don't you want to deliberately blackmail me, do you?"

Luz could not accept being accused of being reckless, "I couldn't possibly do such a disgusting thing!"

The man shrugged, "No one knows the contents of the human heart."

Growled? Don't ask, at this time it feels like Luz wants to claw his handsome face until satisfied.

"I don't know how much I have to pay but here's a little money." The man searched for pockets around the body of his horse covered in an iron robe. Oh, that guy actually also wears a silver armor that amazes just that his bad nature makes Luz forget that admiration. In New York no longer anyone uses the armor here and there especially while riding a horse. It could be laughed at by one country and considered a crazy person who is lost or if you are lucky may be included in the traveling circus.

But it's different here. Those who use armor are considered honorable because of their duties as representatives of the state and to defend power from attacks by other countries.

Luz watched as the man was busy looking for something. As he let his guard down, Luz quickly tied something behind the legs of his horse covered in an iron robe.

"Here, just take everything. My debt is paid off, right, so see you." The man got on his horse and just passed by rushing as if there was the most important thing he had to do on time.

"The rich are always weird" Luz sneered as he stared at the end of the road the man was on.

Luz's smile returned bright. No problem, at least the change was already in his hands.

Luz turned around, but he was so surprised when he realized people's gazes were pointing at him like a dagger ready to be stabbed. He is the center of attention, but Luz believes it is not something that refers to anything positive.

Though Luz only collect his rights, not stealing let alone plundering but why they .. geez, victory always sides with people with high honor and ultimate value; handsome.

"Not shameless!"

"It could be that he's behaving like that!"

"Freaky men. Already sick but do not remember dying even asking for unclear!"

For the last swearing Luz glared in annoyance. His skin is very pale plus the color of his hair is white glare when hit by sunlight. Luz is familiar because the old Odyssey is rarely out of the manor house even for just a walk. But malady? Hell, Luz is still fit. Still able to run around the market and fight with people who meet it if necessary.

Basic, biggest fan!

But no matter what, those women knew nothing about Luz having to live independently. Rather than making a bigger fuss, he eventually relented and lifted himself off the market.

After finding a suitable spot — under the cool shade tree in front of plantation— Luz opened the contents of the bag given by the man with enthusiasm.

But as fast as the autumn wind grazed the dried leaves, so did Luz's smile fade quickly. His expectations for the bag are huge. For example, hundreds of coins or other valuable objects that the man accidentally handed to him. But back to the fact that its contents do not reflect Luz's delusion.

It contained only five silver coins. It might just be enough to buy a bag of cherries.

"Fucking nobleman!" raung Luz frustrated.
