Ochonner took a breath. Trying to temper his anger that was already on the verge of breaking. "I tried wisely to address Odyssey's husband. Now tell me everything without being missed."
"Before that, did you know anything, Lord de Cera?" Alastair looked up, looking at his brother-in-law was no less sharp. "That the Empress .. she is not your real sister."
Ochonner held his breath. "Your Majesty, please don't say nonsense."
"I know, it's hard to believe." Alastair let out a heavy sigh. Staring out the window that presents a view of the still bright sky. "Previously Love told me that he intended to tell you this. But he was afraid that your reaction would exceed his expectations. It's not gonna end well, Chonner."
Ochonner held his breath. His chest feels tight, reality moreover that must be swallowed after passing more than a year of living with a stranger who —ternyata— occupies his brother's body. "Say everything. I want to know."
And after that, the story of Luz just flowed from Alastair's lips. From the girl's own confession, letters, and cursory evidence look ordinary. And the last one ... Alastair also recounts how the original Odyssey died before Luz lived on his body.
"I am indeed a foolish brother, leaving the Odyssey in a manor house where the majority hated my twin. He committed suicide for sure because of their drive, that superstitious crazy family, I had to avenge him for the Odyssey." Ochonner did not hesitate to shed tears. His feelings are on two paths, between the feeling of mourning for the departure of Odyssey and the feeling of not being willing to lose Luz which has been very comforting for him.
"Don't be rash, use your brain before you act. Getting rid of the people you hate is easy, but the consequences are not to be forgotten" said Alastair. "According to imperial regulations, if I get any evidence for your murder. I certainly won't hesitate to throw yourself in jail, brother-in-law."
Ochonner smiled slantedly, "But if there's no evidence, you can't do anything to me, can you?" he said that was greeted by a look of agreement from Alastair.
In an elite mansion on a major New York street, a 1934 Bugatti La Voiture Noire sped into the basement. Only four cars in the world were obtained by Ken Anderson with difficulty while at a luxury car show in North America called Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in California a few years ago. And now, the car has become his favorite car and will only be used if there is something special.
Like Luz coming back to their house.
"Dad, I can do it myself" Luz refused as Ken carried her and sat the princess in a wheelchair.
Luz only clucked when he was in a wheelchair. Both of his legs still felt stiff, very difficult to move because of too long lying in the hospital.
"When Luz grew up, you were still my daughter. Do not hesitate so, yes," the old man's sweet pinta then smiled widely when he knew Luz also replied with a soft laugh.
"It feels like nothing has changed. It's still the same as before" Luz commented as he watched along the small trees lined up to the left and right of the road they were walking on. It used to be said, Rebecca Anderson the mother was so fond of plants that in the entire mansion was full of her hands and the basement was included in the beautiful results of the mother. No wonder there are so many plants growing there.
Ken nodded. When they entered a transparent elevator, the man opened his voice. "You know your late mother loved plants. Besides, I'm still focused on your health, I don't have time to just arrange the gardens here."
Luz. He touched the back of Ken's hand perched on the handle of his wheelchair. "Thank you for never giving up on my life, Dad."
"You kidding me?" Ken chuckled, aligning his height with the princess looking back at him. "Luz is my only reason to stay alive. After my mother's death, haven't we always been together? Luz held my father's hand until we could be this successful. If you leave me, why else would I stay in this world?"
Luz. Feeling so sinful after a few days is still thinking of a way to return to Sormenia which will certainly return to leave the father who loves him very much. Little squash escaped those tiny lips. Knowing his daughter's mood, Ken smiled warmly and hugged her body like a cotton swab that could easily fall off.
"Of course, the important thing is that Luz is back. There's nothing more to worry about, is there?" she then gently stroked Luz's blonde hair which was the same as her.
Amidst the rush, Luz nodded quickly. Why is he so ungrateful, getting the figure of a father who doubles as a mother for his life so far. Loving him more than anyone, always taking the time even though he himself just finished work, never even set a target for the achievements that Luz achieved. Completely free, no prohibition. Now Luz is ashamed of himself. Want to leave this guy? Ah, naw. Luz decides to sacrifice everything he has in Sormenia.
"I love you, father," he said in tears.
Ken chuckled then wiped away the tears that had soaked his daughter's cheeks. "Is there something bothering you? Don't cry like this. Dad's heart hurts to see him, hm?"
"I just didn't expect this day to come." Luz published his bright smile. "After this, I'll just be with dad. Forever."
"For ever?"
"Of course."
"What about the wedding? I have a friend of a director who has been a widower for about two years in Berlin."
"Dad wants me to marry an old widower?!"
Ken chuckled as Luz landed a punch on his shoulder that still accentuated the muscle. Actually just kidding. It is impossible for Ken to give up his most precious daughter to a mediocre man even more so that he is old.
"Where are we going?"
As he exited the elevator, Ken glanced at the feet of his daughter who was not wearing a pedestal. "Swimming pool. The doctor told me to train you to learn to walk again by walking in water."
"Learn walking?"
"Yes, you have to do it a second time to the same person" Ken joked, slamming his daughter's shoulder.
"When I was a kid I learned to walk with my mom, not with my dad!"
"Where did you get that hoax information? Obviously I'm the one who helped you start crawling to the point of running!"
"But the photos say another. My mother taught me!"
"According to father, teaching the princess herself doesn't need to be documented that way."
"Oh yeah. Then where's the evidence for your words?"
"No need for proof, I'm your father. Point!"
That's how they. If you have met, it would not be complete without arguing even about things that are not important.
