"Thank you for the ride, Grand Duke."
Alastair replied with a faint smile and frowned when he realized that the nuances of the shop he remembered last time were different from the one in front of him. "Wait, since when did the paint color change?"
"Pink color is too feminine and mushy, I do not like it so I replaced it with ivory white and gold," Luz replied enthusiastically. "After all, it's not just women who need to go to the salon, men need it too."
"Are there any men who came here?"
"My first customer was a man." Luz chuckled, "I forgot what his name was. She once claimed to be Princess Giselle's fiancee."
"Earl of Travis?"
"Well, there it is!"
Alastair chuckled, "He's not confessing to me, but that's how he is."
"Oh, really?" They both entered the store when Luz managed to insert the key in the hole. "Given her status, Princess Giselle should be able to marry a man who. Like you for example."
Luz hurriedly added, "But that doesn't mean I'm trifling the Earl of Travis. He might be better. Yeah, nobody knows."
"They became fiancees because they had been old friends since childhood. Maybe they feel closer than they are struggling to find another partner? What is clear is that the Earl of Travis loves Princess Giselle very much" the Grand Duke explained at length. But a second later an amused grin adorned his face, "In addition if he is my fiancee, what about you. No, I just want to be with you, Love. Not the others."
"Not sane." Luz punched the Grand Duke in the chest which was met with thunderous laughter from the man. Hurriedly she approached one of the dressers, pretending to be busy. Luz tried to cover the red hue on his face.
Aih, adjacent to the Grand Duke was not good for heart health. What did he call you, Love? Uh.
"Then what about Princess Giselle, does she also love Earl Travis?" tanya Luz switched the conversation.
Alastair rolled his shoulders after his laughter stopped, "I didn't know it until there."
"But the last time I saw Princess Giselle at the party she didn't introduce Earl Travis as her fiance to the guests." Luz moved nimble to put his things on the table. "You know what I mean, right. Kind of ... show off the couple, maybe? Yeah, the royals always do it but not with Princess Giselle."
"To be honest I don't really care" Alastair replied and sat down on one of the long sofas. "Unfortunately those two are my cousins. What they do is even worse in the eyes of the public, it will also tarnish my good name."
"Family problems are your problem, too?" Luz snorted, "Resiko becomes the leader. Huh, just be troublesome."
"I was born for it."
Luz glanced for a moment, "Typical submissive guy, eh?"
"Your life would be a mess if you didn't think the same way as your ancestors."
Luz could not blame Alastair. The man was right, in this kind of royal world of course children would inherit anything they got from their parents. Unlike Luz who was born in a developed country, the affairs of children and parents are certainly different. Children are not required to do things that are hereditary from parents instead of modern people teach independence to cultivate independent living since the age of a dozen years.
Different centuries, different mindsets. It was that easy about.
Before long the store door again opened featuring a pair that looked suitable using luxury and classy items. This time Luz was astonished. Just now he was talking about these two people with the Grand Duke suddenly they had come right in the first hour of work.
"Good morning, Your Highness and My Lord," said Luz. "It's a lucky little shop that belongs to me and the Grand Duke that's been visited by you."
The Grand Duke frowned when he heard his name coming along. This beauty shop he had given free to Luz so it was no longer his. But the man decided to shut up.
"I came here precisely because I heard that your store is the biggest beauty store in Sormenia, Crystal Lady." Princess Giselle chuckled, "You know, in the capital people are talking about you."
"Talking about myself?"
Luz is actually lazy to talk about his choices. This is Luz's life, this is the way. Why are people who are just as complicated as Luz to trouble them?
Luz glanced behind Princess Giselle. Sean Travis is always cheerful and the origin of the conversation is already sitting not far from the Grand Duke. Seeing him sitting quietly like this was like witnessing a rare moment. Oh, surely that guy still hesitates to meet Luz considering their first meeting didn't impress anything good at all.
Still remember, right. Sean once insulted Lady Odyssey right in front of his own face.
"So ...." Luz looked back at Princess Giselle. "What can I help you with?"
"Travis likes your treatment but he's reluctant to be alone for whatever reason and I just happen to want to come here." The princess sighed but then her face brightened again, "After Travis, let me try your treatment as well!"
"Of course, Your Highness. I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the result." Luz looked at Sean who was moving with a heavy heart. "Please, My Lord."
Luz and Sean then pass to the spa room leaving Grand Duke and Princess Giselle both in the waiting room.
Feeling that there was nothing to worry about anymore, Alastair stood up from his seat. "I must go, Princess Giselle. Nice to meet you."
"Grand Duke, wait!"
Alastair silently waited for Princess Giselle to continue her words.
"Anu .. don't be jealous. Even though Sean is my fiancee, my heart is still on you."
Alastair frowned, "Say the obvious. What do you mean."
"You like me, don't you?" guess Princess Giselle blatantly and then she looks down embarrassed. "I am too. If you're really serious, please fight for me, Grand Duke. My relationship with Travis was just a wish on the part of my side and my father, I couldn't choose. So that's ... replace Travis, huh?"
"Are you sick, Your Highness?" cetus Alastair who made Princess Giselle creeps because of it. "We are only cousins and friends of the past. Nothing to do with your shit just now."
Princess Giselle felt stupefied yet she still insisted. Meeting the Grand Duke in tandem was extremely difficult so this was the best moment to say everything. "But ... By marrying me isn't your chance of being made king getting bigger?"
"Just keep your feelings, Your Highness. I'm busy." Alastair nodded briefly, "Good morning and excuse me."
Princess Giselle could only stare at that increasingly distant back with a pushy look. It was not a year and two that he loved the Grand Duke, but a dozen years that he endured the feeling of not knowing whether or not to welcome him.
Princess Giselle knew the Grand Duke had the right to the throne and therefore she offered a great opportunity to become king as long as she married him.
The Grand Duke had never been in love. But why did she reject Princess Giselle's feelings and miss the golden opportunity?
