The rhythm of the sound produced by the electrocardiogram and the aroma of drugs seemed to fill the room measuring approximately forty square meters. On a single-sized bed, there is the body of a woman who is still faithful to close her eyes even though the years have changed from time to time.
In one corner of the patient's bed, it appears the inscription 'Lovely Anderson' is listed there.
A man in a white suit and five nurses appeared to be checking on his condition. Doctor Calvin, has been given a direct —-year mandate from Ken Anderson, Chairman of Kebely Group— to treat the senior makeup artist who is his only daughter with the hands of the professional doctor himself.
"Please replace the infusion."
The nurse standing next to him nodded and pulled out a plastic bottle hanging from a pole right next to the bed. Meanwhile, Doctor Calvin felt an awkwardness as he at first glance saw Luz's fingers slowly moving.
To prove his suspicion, the doctor immediately checked the frequency of his patient's pulse. There is no doubt that there is a bright spot for Luz to come back to life.
"Nurse, the patient has signs of rumination. Immediately prepare the defibrillator, we'll pump his heart!"
"Good!"
After listening to the doctor's orders, they immediately moved quickly. Coincidentally, at that time Ken Anderson was in the company meeting room, so enthusiastic when he got the news that his daughter would soon be awake.
Ken Anderson suddenly stood up, attracting the attention of everyone in the meeting room. His men looked at the old man with puzzled eyes.
"Sorry, Mr. Andersons. What's up?"
"Meeting enough to get here," he said agile. "If you have anything to say, please ask my private secretary."
Without wasting any time, Ken immediately darted away to the best hospital in New York. He was very grateful when the streets were down because they had entered working hours. At full speed they arrived in a short time. In fact, the distance between his company and the hospital is quite far.
Hearing the news that Luz had grown up was much happier than knowing his company would open branches in seventeen different countries. The old man's footsteps quickly led him to a special elevator reserved for VIP guests. Because of the rapid pace of Ken, his men even lost track.
"Lovely ... was conscious," he said softly while running in the hospital corridor. Been a long time. Ken has been waiting for this day for a long time.
His steps suddenly stopped in a room numbered 247. Ken stroked his chest, between feeling nervous and afraid if again the news of Luz's rumour was just wishful thinking.
Coinciding with Ken wanting to open the door, there was a voice from within which meant that someone wanted to get out. After the door opened, Ken smiled as he found out that the man was Doctor Calvin.
"You have arrived. Incidentally, Miss Lovely is conscious. You can see it for yourself" said the man politely.
"Is she really my Lovely, Calvin?"
Calvin, Erickson's younger brother smiled happily. "She's really Lovely Anderson, the person you mean." He stretched out his hand, "Congratulations, this four-year wait has not been in vain."
"Thanks for your help," flattered Ken who could barely hold back. He returned the hand of Doctor Calvin who had hung in the air. "Then I'm inside."
Calvin nodded, "I'm sorry too."
"Dad ...."
"Love baby." Ken moved forward and grabbed his daughter's body into his arms. Missing each other after four years, often meeting but not together. Ken's face was wet, filled with tears. Luz also felt a very deep longing, but his old body was not too strong to support all his emotions who wanted to hold back the body of Ken who was still healthy at his age who was no longer young.
"Four years. It's been four years, what have you done, son?" asked Ken with a trembling voice. "Why are you so comfortable falling asleep and leaving me alone?"
"Em-four years?" Luz untangled their hugs then noticed Ken's expression. There was no ugly smile printed on his face. There's nothing at all.
As Luz recalls, he had been in Sormenia for about a year which meant he had already gone through four seasons. So, one season in Sormenia is the same as one year in New York.
"Alastair." Luz was momentarily pensive, thinking about how the man who had now succeeded in becoming the emperor was. What he's doing, Luz really wants to know.
"Who's Alastair?" ken asked confusedly.
"I have to go back" Luz said suddenly. "My husband .. he must be shaken. I have to go back," he said.
Luz almost removed the infusion hose attached to the back of his hand before Ken prevented it. "What do you mean, son. Husband? I-dad knows you wouldn't accept if Erickson eventually married another woman. But if you act recklessly like this in a time when your condition is not stable, I will not allow it at all!"
Pensive luz. It's hard to explain Alastair's existence to his father because Ken is a rational person, and if Luz told him about his life in Sormenia, it would be hard for him to believe.
And what was it, Erickson married another woman? Cih, Luz doesn't care at all. If the man really loved her, even fifty years would pass.
"Erickson you can't have anymore, but there's still a lot of sons of dad's business colleagues who like you. Father's daughter is very beautiful and famous, which man can refuse unless his eyes are blind" joked Ken who tried to cheer after noticing the change in his daughter's expression.
"I'm tired." Luz slowly pulled the blanket back, lay down and turned to face the wall. "I want to sleep. You can come next time."
Ken looked at his daughter's back with a difficult look. Despite knowing Luz was not looking at him, the old man still nodded. "Rest until you are properly healed. I'm gonna send a body guard around here to keep those reporters from knowing how you are."
After hearing the footsteps drifting away followed by the creaking of the closed door, Luz could no longer hold back his sobbing. She misses the topaz bead that stares at her every day. He missed the amused nudity of the man while occasionally stroking his hair gently. And he also missed the heavy noise that these few days had always left him buzzing about.
Luz's cry grew louder when she realized a jewel ring was attached to her ring finger. Their wedding ring, which somehow got here. Luz grasped the small object tightly, pouring out a blend of fear of loss and a burning feeling of longing.
"Manuel's."
Luz's cry subsided as he remembered the name. Manuel, the first person to bring him to Sormenia. He must know how to get Luz back there.
After successfully putting together the idea, Luz was determined to have her body recover quickly. He will try at any cost to meet Alastair again. Then stay in Sormenia for ever.
Luz would not be that easy to give up, he would take back what was already his.
Including Alastair.
