Apparently, the news of the injured Camoline spread even faster unexpectedly. It was quite difficult to stop the spread of the news, although fortunately no one got the fact that Camoline was injured due to a sudden attack from an unknown person. People only know if Camoline was injured as a result of the Delwana exam today. Delwana's image is bad enough. They were certainly not the ones defending Camoline. No, Camoline is not that famous and that high in the Academy. Merely, an accident during an exam like this was a bad thing that the disciples could not forgive.
"So, can you explain what happened, Delwana?"
Currently, Delwana was in Zelden's room. Of course the news had already reached the ears of this Head of the Academy. Delwana was not too surprised when she was summoned by Zelden earlier.
"The disciple was wounded. As the news has spread," said Delwana calmly. Getting such an answer, Zelden let out a long sigh. Years working with Delwana let him know a little if the man in front of him would not make it difficult for himself to explain things even though it was for his own defense.
"I know about that. What I mean is, the incident was in detail. The news spread was only about the state of the student," said Zelden. At least, Delwana is not like Barcus which certainly will immediately chat at length without giving the desired answer. Delwana is just too quiet.
Delwana took a long breath. His hand moved through the pocket of his pants, then began to take out something wrapped in black cloth.
"That thing hurt him" Delwana said. The frown on Zelden's forehead that had appeared, slowly faded away. He looked at Delwana for a moment, before his hand moved to touch the object that Delwana had placed on the table. Carefully, Zelden untied the cloth, then slowly saw the object inside. An arrow made of silver, with a blood stain on the end that began to dry up. It is clear that the blood is new.
"That thing just blew away so fast. I couldn't sense anyone else's presence other than my students at the time" Delwana said. Zelden's head lifted for a while before looking back at the arrow in his hand again.
"The pattern on this arrow looks not so foreign" Zelden said slowly. Delwana agreed.
"Klan white. Only that clan had a weapon with such a pattern. The eagle pattern." Zelden let out a long breath. He wrapped the arrow without tying it back. Then he put it on the table. He looked at Delwana with a serious look.
"You sure so? Couldn't it be, there was one member of the clan who sold this arrow illegally to someone else? Or is someone imitating the pattern?" Delwana shook firmly. Zelden's words are justified. All of those possibilities could have happened.
"My intuition says so. Moreover, the white clan showed very strange movements since the Palace was controlled by them since 10 years ago," said Delwana. Chief Zelden nodded. Under Delwana's suspicion of the clan. Not only Delwana, but herself as well. The clan's movements have become increasingly suspicious since 10 years ago. Since then the clan has controlled the palace.
"But we cannot accuse them recklessly" Zelden said. Delwana immediately grunted softly. That's the problem. He knew, so from the beginning he chose not to tell this to anyone other than Zelden. The only person he could trust, who had no attachment to the Palace.
Krieett.
The two men turned to the door. There, Barcus is seen starting to open the door wider before entering the room of his brother. He had a glass of beer in his hand, a drink he always carried when visiting Zelden for no apparent purpose.
"Are you talking about the exam?" ask Barcus in a curious tone. Zelden turned his head, then nodded slowly. He was just like Barcus, looking as if he did not care about Delwana's current worries.
"By the way, Camoline was hurt while you were on your exam, wasn't she? I haven't seen the condition of the wound. But the boy's friends told me that his injuries were deep enough and would not heal easily for another 2 weeks" Barcus said. The head of Delwana turned his head slowly towards Barcus. The man did not look at him. He was so focused on the beer in his hands with eyes watching a book. Who knows when it will be in his right hand.
"I didn't know the wound would be like that" Delwana said softly. Barcus nodded his head slowly. His face did not change. He was very calm, although Delwana knew that the student named Camoline was a special student of Barcus.
"No surprise. The wound did get worse after he was taken to the clinic. Like the effect of all spells. Ah, too bad I'm not Azura who memorizes all those kinds of confusing sentences" Barcus lamented. His words made the frown on Zelden's forehead appear.
"Mantra, huh? That would be very bad. But, what was the purpose of that sudden attack?" Barcus turned his head, he shrugged both of his shoulders.
"Eitherway. Know who attacked anyone, I can't guess" Barcus said. He sipped his beer slowly.
"Is it possible if the one attacking it is the White Clan?" Barcus' head immediately turned his head quickly towards Zelden. His face looked so shocked by Zelden's words. Barcus was silent for a while, before he placed the glass still containing the small amount of beer on the table beside him. He cleared slowly. His back had even become firm.
"Klan white? Why don't I think about them?" barcus Mumm. He took a long breath. His shoulders slowly came down.
"But it could happen. The clan must have returned to try to find the legendary items of the ancestral relics stored here. Their greed was, really sickening," Barcus said in an annoyed tone at the end of his sentence. Zelden pressed his shoulders. He then glanced at Delwana who had been silent since.
"In addition to the White Clan, who do you think is likely to be the perpetrator for today's events?" ask Zelden again. Again, Barcus turned his head towards Zelden.
"It's very hard for someone like me to predict it. It's just, it's not impossible if the black Clan did it." Delwana Agency immediately. He quickly turned his head towards Barcus with a deeply furrowed forehead.
"What do you mean by black clan? The clan has been destroyed since 500 years ago," said Delwana. He looked quite upset and worried too. Barcus could see it clearly. The smile on his face began to show.
"But one member of that clan still exists today, Mr. Delwana," Barcus said. He looked at Zelden with a mysterious smile. Makes Delwana wonder about this sister brother.
