Zelden was no longer busy in his chair and read the sheet by sheet of paper that always filled his desk. Right now, he was standing facing the window in his room. The window faced directly towards the center of the Kingdom city. The position of his room on the highest floor of the Academy building, made Zelden able to see the incredible scenery. Although it was on the highest floor, but this Zelden room did not feel as cold as it should be. Although the height of Zelden's room almost matches the top of Topaz mountain which is always covered with snow. This room feels warm. Which of course is caused by magic in this building.
The sound of an open door awakened Zelden from his daydream. He looked back, waiting for the man who opened the door to show himself. As soon as his eyes caught Barcus's figure, Zelden again turned his gaze out the window. Zelden's scruffiness instantly caught Barcus' attention. He looked at his brother with a frown. It was curious what made her sister like that.
"Is there anything that bothers you?" ask Barcus curiously. He stood beside Zelden. Staring at Zelden's slowly changing face.
"Yes. Something pretty bad" Zelden said. That answer made Barcus' forehead shrivel even more deeply.
"What's that?" Zelden let out a long breath. He moved his head and looked at his sister with a complicated face.
"Letter from the top of the Palace. They already know the exact location of the Opal stone," said Zelden. Barcus's silent. He moved his head to look out the window. He focused his gaze towards the Palace which could be seen from the window in Zelden's room.
"Did they know it was in Camoline's body?" ask Barcus. He turned to look at Zelden who had walked back to his chair. He sat and stared at the papers on his desk with no interest at all.
"Even the students at the Academy, they all knew about Camoline who had the Opal" Barcus said. His sister's words made Zelden's tired face more visible.
"Want to do it" said Zelden slowly. He took a piece of paper with gold ornaments on each side. The paper was a letter from the palace. The letter stated that Topaz Academy should hand Camoline over to the Palace. The news of the existence of the Opal sacred stone inside the girl's body had already spread rapidly. Even the news was never expected at all, because this was beyond his prediction. Even Zelden felt that it was unexpected that something like this would happen in this fast time.
Zelden slowly exhaled again. Camoline would certainly not be in a safe state if handed over to the Palace. Zelden knew very well how greedy and arrogant the people there were. And considering how the higher-ups of the Palace continued to try to take the relics of the war 500 years ago by force alone had already shown that they did not deserve the Opal stone.
The knock on the door distracted the two old men. They were compactly staring towards that door.
"Come in" said Zelden after learning that one of his students was about to enter his room. Before long, the door opened and featured a schoolgirl with blond hair. He gasped when he saw the figure of Barcus in the room, but immediately cleared his throat and put on a calm face.
"Sorry to interrupt your time, sir. But I want to tell you if my friend Camoline is getting bullies from other students" she said. It was Silver. He was very tired to see how his friend was severely bullied by the disciples just because of the existence of Opal stone in his body. The students were hard to stop, and the teachers were indifferent. So Silver recklessly approached Zelden as the Headmaster here.
"That's a risk he has to accept" Barcus said. His words instantly got a sharp glare from Silver. He looked at Barcus annoyed. Not accepting his words. Because after all, bullying is not something that should be considered ordinary.
"But—"
Silver silent. He closed his mouth tightly. His head looked down at the cold marble floor. Without saying anything, he simply lowered his head and walked out of Zelden's room. There was nothing he could hope for. He thought either Zelden or Barcus would defend Camoline. Or at least stop those students from doing crazy bullying to Camoline. Because Silver knew, the two of them also harnessed Camoline's power. But apparently he was wrong.
Humans are still human.
The door to Zelden's room was closed violently. It made the two people in it shocked because of that. Silver doesn't care. He kept his feet up with an angry expression. Now, only he can help Camoline. Violetta and Lily, the two girls are too weak to be dust when they help Camoline. And Londer, the man was nowhere to be seen. Silver's anger is growing.
"You seem to need help helping your friend."
Silver's footsteps stopped immediately. He looked back. Found a student in a red dorm uniform. Silver's forehead shriveled, but the glare of his eyes that were so sharp pointed at the student. Silver did not even care about the fact that the hair of the student in front of him was very similar to the hair color he had.
"Whatchu mean? Aren't you part of them too? Struggling Camoline just because of that fucking rock?"
The student chuckled when he saw the reaction Silver gave. He straightened his back, then walked closer to Silver.
"My name is Liora Demeter—"
"You're a spy from Sebrang Kingdom?!" The student's words were cut short by Silver's shock. The atmosphere was silent, as the student named Liora was silent before she finally laughed. He looked at Silver with a look of amusement. It's like what Silver said was a joke.
"You know that, right? Smarter than the people here" Liora said. He still displays his sweet smile even though Silver already knows his identity.
"Lantas, what do you want? Took the damn stone from Camoline so your Kingdom could rule the world, didn't it?" ask Silver in full search. He had to be wary of Liora's figure. Because after all, the Kingdom where Liora came from was an enemy Kingdom since 200 years ago. Liora chuckled again. He flicked Silver's forehead slowly.
"Your mind is too bad for me." Silver snorted loudly. Although it was not painful, but Liora's behavior had surprised her.
"After all, don't you need someone in a high position to help your friend, right? So just use me." Silver turned towards Liora. The student started walking after looking at himself calmly. As if his words were nothing serious. But Liora's eyes said otherwise. He was serious and forced Silver to agree to his offer.
