The Wiz

The Wiz
Chapter 60: The Ruckus

Camoline stepped out of the blue dormitory towards the red dormitory with her calm countenance. As she walked, Camoline felt something strange about her surroundings. He occasionally glanced around, but all he got was people whispering to each other. They covered each other's mouths with the backs of their hands, yet both of their eyes looked towards Camoline. Camoline could feel it if the gaze was directed at her. And that look was full of insults and scorn.

Camoline frowned her forehead thinly. He did not understand at all, what made him be stared at like that by people. It felt very strange, because before her, Camoline was sure she was not doing strange or bad things. The day after the battle with Silver, he resumed his intense training with the guidance of Delwana. The location is still near the lake, which is quite far from the position of the Academy building. Merely, Camoline did not understand what made everyone look at her like that.

His footsteps did not stop for a moment. Camoline continued to step on her feet until she finally reached the door of the red dorm room. A place that Camoline never expected she would come to. Because the students in this dormitory look so mysterious to him. Because all this time, Camoline had really never noticed how the disciples of the red dorm were. They seem to have their own territory and class compared to students from other dormitories.

"You're Miss Laufie, aren't you?"

Camoline jerks. His head lifted and found a woman in her 50s staring at him sharply and piercingly. Her clothes are predominantly red and black. Her hair was well-groomed with boxed glasses attached to her nose. Camoline was quite surprised by this call of the woman in front of her. This time he was called by his last name.

"Right," said Camoline. The woman nodded. He read a book in his hand, before looking back at Camoline from top to bottom and vice versa for a few moments.

"Follow me to your new room. And remember, pay attention to your footsteps," said the woman still with a flat tone of voice. Camoline could only nod. He began to walk in the footsteps of the woman in front of him carrying his heavy bag.

Unlike the two dormitories that Camoline previously occupied, red dormitories have decorations that bring up a luxurious atmosphere. Royal-themed paintings as well as a red carpet covering the marble floor. Camoline guessed that the red dormitory was the highest dormitory in the Academy. It is not his fault that he does not know, because the Academy has never explained in detail about the dormitories in Topaz Academy.

However, just like the circumstances outside the red dormitory. Each step of Camoline's foot was followed by scornful and condescending views. They don't whisper to each other. Just stared dislikefully at the presence of Camoline which was so clearly visible on their annoyed faces. Because they seemed to deliberately not hide their feelings at this time.

"I didn't expect, Topaz Academy has students who don't know themselves."

"He was just relying on luck."

"The cunning woman who used Prince Chromos."

"He seems to be wearing a black clan spell."

Camoline exhaled slowly. Now he could clearly hear what the people were talking about. Of course, all of those words were pointing at him. Only, Camoline did not understand why those people seemed so disgusted by her existence. They looked at Camoline as if Camoline had committed the greatest sin in the world that could not be forgiven at all.

"This is your room. Don't do anything, or you'll get sanction points."

"Mitha's. We will meet again in my class the day after tomorrow" said the woman who claimed to be named Mitha. Camoline nodded slowly. He remained silent in his place and watched Mitha until the woman completely disappeared from his sight.

Camoline took a deep breath. He looked at the door of the room in front of him. The number 4 is usually associated with bad things. Camoline shook her head slowly. Even in white dorms, the number is always 4. Without waiting for long, Camoline started to open the door of the room. When the door opened wide, he could see three other students sitting inside. Now he looked at himself in full search, before one of them started whispering to the friend beside him.

"From the blue dorm, Camoline Laufie." Camoline nodded, confirming the statement that one of the girls had just uttered. Simultaneously, all three stood up. They walked closer to Camoline.

"Welcome. But I'm curious." The student named Heira was staring at Camoline from top to bottom and vice versa. One corner of his lips lifted. He grins.

"The ability you have is pure or because of the help of Opal stones?"

Time stopped at that moment, too. Camoline was surprised. Both of his eyes were wide open. Things like this he never expected at all. About the fact that others will know the existence of Opal stone that he has been hiding. Luckily, Camoline was able to control her facial features quickly. He looked back at Heira with his face flat.

"I don't understand what you mean. Help the Opal stone?" Heira grunts. He moved his legs again so that the distance between himself and Camoline was getting thin.

"Don't lie, you idiot. Everyone in the Academy already knows that you, in your body, have a sacred Opal stone. Which all this time makes you look strong," said Heira. He looked at Camoline intently. Camoline was silent. He doesn't know about it at all. Moreover, he did not know who leaked it to everyone.

"People like you shouldn't deserve to be in the red dormitory or even in this Academy. But yeah, that's it. Maybe you're using your body to get a chance to study here" Heira said. He looked at Camoline again. This time he greatly underestimated Camoline. Looking at the girl in front of him as if Camoline was the most despicable girl ever.

Camoline looked back slowly. Where the people he passed by earlier looked badly at him and even said hurtful things. Now it was clear that they were all throwing annoyed and disgusted looks at him.

If they already knew about the Opal stone in his body, then why were those people so upset with him? The existence of the Opal stone within his body was not even his wish. He even hoped that the Opal stone did not follow him to reincarnate as well in his current body. But fate says something else.

Camoline's body was pushed away just like that. Making Camoline directly fall onto the floor layered with velvet carpet. A shocked face instantly plastered on his face. Camoline looked at the three schoolgirls in front of her. They seemed happy with what had just happened to them. In fact, Camoline could also hear the laughter released by the people in the hallway.

"You deserve that, loser."
