The Wiz

The Wiz
Chapter 56: The Orange Sky

Barcus exhaled his long breath slowly. He was in front of Zelden's room. Not facing towards the door to enter the room of the Big Brother and disturb him as usual. But Barcus just came out of the room. Of course lately he can not do his old habits. Disturbing Zelden's concentration by asking questions that force him to think. Quite recently, Zelden made Barcus a place to discuss. His arrival seemed to be awaited, because Zelden would immediately ask confusing things in his head. In fact, many people already know that Zelden's head is much smarter than he is. But Zelden treated himself like Barcus knew everything.

That was enough to upset him, because Barcus did not notice it right away. Initially Barcus only responded to Zelden's questions casually. But now, he became annoyed at being forced to come to think with the man. Barcus came because he was lazy to think.

And the topic that Zelden recently discussed just revolves around the same thing. Opal and Camoline stones. Two things that Zelden often asked him. There would probably be a conversation about the Palace's top brass once in a while, but that was if there was Delwana in the room as well. But if it was just the two of them, Zelden would focus on discussing those two things alone. It was as if Zelden was having his own plans for those two things.

But it's true. Zelden did have a plan and told Barcus a quick glance last time.

Now, Barcus doesn't know what to do. He was tired of staying longer in Zelden's room. And going around to go around the Academy building was already very boring. He has memorized every corner even secret rooms that are made by who. He already knows it all. Now he became confused as to what to do to remove his sense of boredom.

In fact, there were tasks that Barcus had to do, even if he was an unofficial teacher in the Academy. However, he had to submit a monthly test report that several students had followed. But to this day, he has not done so. Of course people like Barcus would never bother to be busy at the table with sheets of paper piled up like Zelden often did. Although maybe later, he will do it by force if Zelden has forced himself.

Barcus' feet began to step. He just stepped in without knowing where he was going. Training Camoline was no longer her job. The element he mastered had already disappeared in that Opal stone. Actually it could be, he made Camoline fight him again like a few days ago. Due to the evidence, Camoline was able to increase her level strength again. But, Barcus certainly knew that Camoline had to be trained to take out and control the elements first. And Delwana is quite useful for now than he is.

It'sit's okay. After all, Barcus can doleha more often than when still training Camoline.

"Mr Barcus. Good day."

Barcus just nodded slowly. In front of him was currently standing one of the teachers. Name's Larch. The teacher with fire element. Compared to other teachers, it could be said that only Larch was so relaxed with the existence of Barcus. The movements of this teacher were so relaxed and not suspicious at all, that neither Barcus nor Zelden took him off the list of teachers to suspect.

"Where are you going?" Larch spoke again. Barcus shrugged both of his shoulders. He himself does not know.

"Eitherway. Today was very boring because I didn't know where to go" Barcus said. He again walked with Larch who was also walking beside him.

"Ah, like that," said Larch slowly. Larch looked back at Barcus with her bright face. Very far compared to the characteristics of fire element users who more often put a face full of intimidation.

"What if you follow me into the room the crystal ball is in?" tawar Larch's. Barcus glanced briefly at the man who was a little short of him. Brow shriveling.

"What are you going there for?" Larch smiled. He was not affected by the intimidating look of the Barcus.

"I didn't think the old man told someone to keep the strange ball" Barcus said. However, Larch could still hear him quite clearly. He chuckles slowly.

"After all, Mr. Zelden is your Brother, Mr. Barcus." And Barcus snorted hearing that.

Not too long later, the two reached the room that Larch was referring to. This isn't the first time Barcus has entered this room. Only, he could not help but comment scathingly when he entered the room. There were no spiderwebs or dust on the walls and walls. Because it seems like Larch takes care of this room very carefully. It was just that seeing the valuables from the Palace given to the Academy as a form of reward was here, Barcus made a comment.

"It's the same as assuming this award means nothing in Zelden's eyes" Barcus said. The new Larch took out a clean white cloth from her shirt pocket turned her head. He smiles.

"It's like that, isn't it? After all, no one will protest because all the items are in the same place as the crystal ball is" Larch said. Once again, Barcus snorted hearing it.

After that, both Barcus and Larch were busy with their respective activities. Larch who continued her activities by sweeping the room after successfully wiping the crystal ball protective glass box, and Barcus who noticed the items from the Palace one by one with a flat face. There was only a sound produced from the broom in Larch's hand, before finally a faint thunder-like sound. The two men raised their heads and stared straight at the only window in the room. Outside, there was not a single cloud. The sky is still bright blue. It brought up a frown on both of them's foreheads.

"The driver in the heat?" Larch slowly said in astonishment. This is nothing new, but this time he felt something different.

Barcus himself said nothing. He was going to focus on the stuff in his hand. However, his eyes instead stared at the strange thing in the crystal ball. The ball, which was supposed to continue to look as clear as water, is now beginning to show smoke. The smoke was initially visible only a little, until it finally began to spread to fill the contents of the crystal ball.

"Is that weird ball always like that?"

The question from Barcus made Larch turn her head. He looked at the man, then at the crystal ball that was being watched closely by Barcus. It took a while for Larch to digest what had happened, before finally the two men's eyes opened wide. Currently, there was a gray-colored smoke inside the crystal ball. Larch had of course become very panicked.

"What should I do?! This has never happened" Larch said. His voice was really panicked. Barcus turned to look at Larch. His forehead shriveled before he exhaled slowly.

"Shut up, don't do anything. If we were careless, the ball would be destroyed" Barcus said. The still surprised Larch could only nod and obey. Both of them were silent until finally the origin inside the crystal ball disappeared. Replaced by the appearance of a very dark night sky. It was like the sky at night with a single point of light like a star.

"Don't tell anyone. I'll tell Zelden and ask him about this."

Larch nodded. Of course he wouldn't say it to anyone. Because instead, later he will be accused of doing bad things to the crystal ball.
