Chapter 54: The Power that Increases

"I heard the old man had a daughter."

Camoline exhaled a long breath. He stopped his training which today is overseen by Delwana. Only Delwana, because of the presence of Barcus here as a commentator only. The man was just sitting on an old log that he was rubbing, and chattering about things. It made both Camoline and Delwana feel annoyed at her.

"Which old man do you mean? You or Mr Zelden?" Barcus looked at Camoline, then he let out a slow cry. In his mouth was a stray plant he had bitten. His left hand had been twisting the plant. I don't know what that guy was doing exactly. Barcus released the wild plant and stood up. He threw his spit to his side.

"You call Zelden by the title of Master, but be impudent to me?" Camoline sighed. He looked back. Gazing lazily towards Barcus who was currently looking towards him in annoyance.

"I don't care" said Camoline. The answer was that it made Barcus squeak. However, the old man's steps actually turned on the sunflower tree he had grown earlier on purpose. No reason. He just likes to damage any order around the lake, Camoline said.

"Asdus. Yesterday a letter from the Palace came and asked his daughter to return to the Palace" Barcus said. Barcus's hands did not remain silent. He plucked some of the sunflower petals and threw them into the lake water which kept rippling because of the exercises Camoline did.

"I don't care."

Camoline's face was getting cloudy. He began to form the water wave into an arrow shape. Not only that, but Camoline also changed it into ice. So it looks if the tip is very sharp.

"You're serious about fighting me apparently." Camoline grunted softly. He pulled one corner of his lips.

"I was always serious from the beginning" Camoline said. He immediately threw an arrow from the ice towards Barcus. Quickly, Barcus brushed off the arrow. Unfortunately, he was not given a chance to blink. Because after the attack, Barcus got another attack in the form of water balls directed at him. Just staggered back. His face was hit by a water ball with flower petals inside. The water also contained pollen, which just went straight into his eyes.

The attack stopped for a moment. Barcus was still trying to restore his blurred vision as well as the pain in both of his eyes. While Camoline was still staring intently at Barcus.

"I should have killed you in the first place" Camoline said. He again unleashed his elemental power. The ice element became pointy and was ready to be thrown towards Barcus at any moment. Especially at this time Barcus is still not able to stand firmly because of the condition of his eyes.

"Stop right there, Camoline!"

Camoline and Delwana turned their heads. They were quite surprised by Zelden's presence. Usually, Zelden would be so busy in his room. Managing Academy files.

"Don't think like that. At least for now." Camoline exhaled her annoyed breath. The ice that was so pointy it slowly melted and returned to water.
