The Wiz

The Wiz
Chapters 34. Meet

Camoline took a deep breath. He stared at the ceiling of the clinic with a face that held back boredom. It's only been 10 hours since he was taken to this place. Get some treatment and end up with his bandaged arm. I don't know what potion to use, but at this time his hands become very stiff and difficult to move. Therefore, all Camoline could do was take a deep breath out of boredom. In this clinic, there is only himself. His friends were gone, they went back to their dorm rooms. Surely after the doctors at this clinic kicked them all out.

Again, the breath came out of Camoline's mouth. He closed his eyes, trying to go back to sleep. But unfortunately I can't. His eyes are so fresh at the moment. He had been asleep for the previous 2 hours.

"You haven't slept yet, boy?"

Camoline head moving. He turned to the door, where Barcus, who had begun to walk, approached his bed. With a slow motion, Camoline shook her head.

"I just woke up not long ago" Camoline said. The head of Barcus nodded. He then took a seat next to the bed where Camoline lay.

"Your situation is very sad if I hear from the words of your friends. But I think they're just exaggerating" Barcus said. He noticed Camoline's condition before his head shook. He felt cheated because he was very worried about the state of Camoline.

"My condition isn't so bad. Even now my right hand is not moving at all." Barcus stared at Camoline's astonishment. His gaze then moved on the upper arm of the woman wrapped in white cloth.

"It looks like it was due to the effect of the magic spell on the weapon that injured your arm" Barcus said slowly. He took a long breath. Before coming here, he had already stopped by his brother's room. And who would have thought, there he could see the thing that hurt his disciple.

"Magic?" camoline asked with a frowning forehead. He really never expected about this.

"You don't know?" Camoline's head immediately shook her head to answer Barcus' question. He doesn't know at all. At the time of the incident, Camoline was only able to see the arrow that she managed to pull out of her arm. After that, his gaze became blurry making it difficult to see more clearly the arrow or even focus on its surroundings. The wounds that he got were quite deep as well, making Camoline really feel pain.

"That wound you got, wasn't a wound from an ordinary weapon. The evidence is, the wound on your arm is getting wider, isn't it?" Camoline's head nodded stiffly.

"If I don't remember wrongly, then that person used a spell to shut down the function of the cells in your arm" Barcus said. He sighed afterwards, while Camoline could not help but be surprised. Such a spell certainly exists. One of the difficult spells capable of fatally incapacitating a target. Camoline was really shocked to discover that she could be the target of the terrible spell.

"Fortunately the clinic at the Academy is quite useful. At least, that hand will only be temporarily paralyzed. Maybe a month? At least it's better, because it's hard to break such a high spell," Barcus said. His words awakened Camoline who had been daydreaming since. Camoline's gaze stared at her hand for a moment, before looking back at Barcus.

"For a month I will be useless" Camoline muttered with a long sigh. Barcus snorted hearing it.

"You were useless from the beginning. Hey, you still have your left hand. Use that part, don't laze around, boy." Camoline rolled her eyes lazily. He chose to escape his gaze to the ceiling. Thinking about the possibility of his ability to control magic was diminishing due to his unusable right hand.

"Thus you will return to activity as usual. Zelden has granted you waivers so you can take the next exam. Sleep on!" Barcus got up from his chair. He stared at Camoline for a while before walking away from Camoline alone again in the clinic room. Camoline didn't say anything more. He only let out a long sigh after Barcus closed the door of the clinic quite loudly.

Slowly, Camoline began to feel that her sleepiness was coming. Without trying to prevent it, he immediately closed both of his eyes. Letting his body slowly enter the dreamland. He needed a lot of sleep, because the test from Delwana this morning was quite draining his strength. Yes, although the elements are the same as the statue, but controlling the plant elements is very difficult. Moreover, the plant element is not actually the original element itself. The element also came from the Opal stone, but no one noticed it. Because in truth, his current body was not the one bestowed gracefully possessing magic power naturally. That said, his current body, was actually flawed.

I don't know how long Camoline's been asleep. But now, something forced both of his eyes open. With her forehead shrinking, as her gaze was unable to focus, Camoline tried to find the source that caused her to wake up. After all of his consciousness had gathered together, his two eyes immediately opened wide when he found that someone was already beside him. Standing up and looking at her with a look that Camoline could not guess.

However, it was not the sudden presence of that person that caused Camoline to be shocked. But about who was currently standing next to him. The person that Camoline never expected at all.

He's Asdus.

"Your hand seems very pathetic now." Asdus's gaze then shifted on Camoline's face which still maintained her surprised look. He pulled one corner of his lips.

"But good. At least I will be very easy to meet you," said Aldus. This time, Camoline's forehead shriveled deeply. His eyes also sharpened.

"Whatchu mean? W-You hurt my arm, didn't you?!" Asdus raised his eyebrows. He chuckled softly at the reaction of the disciple in front of him. There was no look of fear or even admiration, as he had usually gotten all along. This woman's gaze reminded her of someone in the past. Who always looked at himself bravely and did not hesitate to yell at him when others would only bow to obey his every word.

Even the smell is the same, the inner Asdus.

"Take it like that. But my goal is just to make sure of something" said Asdus. He looked at Camoline inside. The two were silent for a while, before Aldus finally laughed for no reason. It made the wrinkles on Camoline's forehead reappear. Confused by the man's behavior. But after that, Camoline was again surprised by Aldus.

Cup.

"Remember if I don't like my being touched by someone else" whispered Asdus right in front of Camoline's lips. He grinned before distancing his face from Camoline after that, his hand slylyly rubbing the top of Camoline's head with a smile that looked quite annoying.

"You'll heal later. So increase your rest time. See you later, mate."

Camoline was still frozen in place. Even when Asdus had disappeared suddenly from before him. The man had clearly used his teleportation power. Leaving behind Camoline who slowly began to realize that her heartbeat was still rhythmic the same every time she met with Asdus. Like 500 years ago.

"He..., he realized it?" muttered Camoline very slowly.
