Chapter 9 The Beginning of Destruction

"This is your room key, our employees will deliver and bring your belongings" said a girl who served as receptionist.

"Thank you" the man replied as he took the key.

A man's servant swiftly brought his guest's bag and suitcase, he walked first to show where the man should walk. Arriving in front of his room, the waiter invited his guest to unlock the room, after the door opened the man entered after the waiter who brought his suitcase.

"It's lunchtime soon, do you want me to take your food to the room?" ask the waiter.

"Can"

"Alright, then please take a break while waiting for the food to come"

"Oh, I also asked for a glass of warm water. I can't eat if the drinking water is cold" the man asked.

"Okay, sir, excuse me" replied the waiter.

At lunchtime, the hotel kitchen was busy preparing food for its guests. A few minutes later, the waiters delivered their guest orders to each room, ensuring they got what they wanted.

However, in the afternoon the hotel suddenly became chaotic. All the guests called the receptionist for help, minutes later the ambulance arrived with a considerable amount of people taking the guests to the hospital.

"What's going on?" hans shouted towards the receptionist.

Within seconds of the news he had heard in his office, aware that something was wrong, he quickly found out.

"I also do not understand sir, all of a sudden all the guests complained of stomach pain and some even vomited" said the receptionist.

Hans thought hard, it was impossible for all guests to suffer the same pain. Kissing something that was not right he immediately ordered his men to check, starting from the lunch dishes brought to the hospital to be examined.

After a rather thrilling wait Hans was told by the doctor that his guests were food poisoning, it left him in shock and speechless.

"Hans." called Shigima who immediately came to the hospital after hearing the news.

Hans just stared sluggishly, he could not say anything because he imagined the consequences he would receive later due to the incident.

"Son.we'll find out what's causing all this, I'm sure there must be a better way out" said Shigima who could not bear to see her son moody.

"Everything will not be okay, food poisoning is a fatal mistake that cannot be corrected" he said weakly.

"You can't despair like that"

"I can't lead the company well, it's the end of my career" Hans said.

Indeed, food poisoning in a hotel is a fatal mistake that is difficult to fix, even so after the condition of the lungs of guests it is better to apologize to them directly.

Of course, the apology is not easy to accept, some of which complain about the problem to the authorities and ask for full accountability.

Hans could only accept all their insults and anger, although he was equally shocked because at the beginning of his career he made a big mistake. That night she skipped dinner and came home late with a rumbling stomach, Amelia who could not bear to see her son bring a glass of warm milk so Hans felt better.

"Daddy's career journey in the slightest he never disappointed grandfather let alone guests, as the son of Shigima Hermes I no longer have face" Hans said sulking.

"Why are you talking like that? every natural human being makes mistakes" Amelia responded.

"But ma'am, the mistakes I made not only endanger the lives of guests but the future of the company"

"Don't give up, don't you still have one more project? focus on the project so that the company name does not fall, at least we still have hope" said Amelia.

Hans looked at his mother's soothing face, the words spoken not only to encourage but also to provide a solution to make Hans stretch his chest over what had happened.

Food poisoning cases have already been spread, but on a small scale because Shigima intervened so that the good name of Hermes group is maintained. Now they only focus on projects that are still in the plan stage, Hans chose to jump directly to see the field situation so that he knew what steps he had to take.

Luckily his employees responded quickly so he did not suffer injuries, immediately he was evacuated to a safer place.

"How long has the demo been running?" hans asked his men.

"About a week ago, we had a discussion with the village chief. There is no deal yet"

"How is it possible? didn't he sign the agreement? sooner or later they have to get out of here" Hans said of the emotion.

"Although aware of the agreement but he still insisted on asking for time to pay his debts"

"Alright, set a time so I can meet him. This project is the only hope of the Hermes group, we must not postpone it any longer"

"Well sir" said his men sprightly.

Hans didn't want to make any more mistakes, the project was his way of showing his qualities before the board. If he can't do it then his position is in danger, actually he doesn't really care about the response of others but he can't close the eyes of his grandfather and father.

Years the company held by his father all went smoothly, the company actually grew more rapidly to have hotels everywhere.

A few days later Hans was finally able to meet and talk with the village chief, he was met with strong opposition even threats if he did not want to give time for repayment of the debt. Actually he also could not bear when the village head offended the problem of its citizens who have no place to live other than there, but the agreement is still an agreement.

The village head still had ten days to get better and leave the place, Hans chose to return to the office because everything had gone according to plan.

Hans was happy to get that compliment, his confidence increasing instantly. But eight days later suddenly someone came to his office giving him a new problem.

She's an old woman who looks fit, from her clothes and her way of walking Hans knows she's not just anyone. The village chief came with him and looked busy accompanying him.

"Can I help you?" hans asked as they were in his office.

"Our arrival today is to talk about the debts of the village chief to the company of the Hermes group, he said, as we know the village head has signed a letter stating that all assets used will be collateral for his debt" said the woman.

"The village chief cannot pay his debts until maturity and according to the agreement all the assets are now owned by the Hermes group company"

"So?" ask Hans.

"So our arrival is to pay all the debts along with the interest, in accordance with the agreement signed by both parties" he replied.

Of course Hans was surprised to hear the remark, he did not expect the debt that amounted to billions would be paid in full with interest within one day only.

"Sorry madam, this is a matter between the company and the village chief. I'm sure you understand that you shouldn't interfere in this" said Hans, who won't lose his project.

"What are you talking about? the village chief is here and he will pay his debt, where the money came from I don't think the company needs to know. You better remember, if you block repayment of this debt then I can report your unsportsmanlike actions" he replied.

Hans could not say, the woman's words were true. If the debtor can pay off all his debts even though they are due he can still have his assets back from paying as well as with interest and fines.

Hans had no choice, he had to let go of his lost project.

"Thank you for your cooperation" said the woman greeting Hans after the repayment was completed.

With a happy look on his face the village chief opened the door for the woman, leaving Hans slumped but before leaving the woman had said.

"Oh I almost forgot, we haven't met. My name is Joyi, please give my regards to your grandfather."
