The pain lingered for decades, remaining there as a chain that closed the door of his heart. Perhaps if it was done by another servant the pain would not be this severe, Joyi's betrayal was the worst of all.
Even so there seems to be a sense of guilt that haunts him now, the quarrel that should not have happened has broken the chain into useless pieces.
Fearing no chance for him to get close to Chad and fearing the disappearance of Joyi like smoke, it weakens the intuition of a former witch general.
Confined in a gloomy workspace, with no one to talk to about personal matters, Jack decides to tell him a piece of paper.
His already unenergized hand held the pen with a trembling, one breath of it being the beginning of a long curses.
'*It never should have happened, now every second in my breath is filled with guilt. My heart pace is getting faster and when I hear his name it feels like that second also this pounding is increasing, until it will eventually explode.
Now what am I supposed to do? where did my butler go at the center of my life, how I had become dependent on him even though this fire of anger had never been extinguished.
I still hope that the understanding that used to be as grand as the ocean, still I dream in the dining room that he will stand right beside me to pour water as he has done for decades.
When alone my mind will continue to wonder if the prophecy is true? then what I have to do is that there is no ability for me to part with my beloved wife.
It was so torturous, why did I have to choose between Joyi and Jessa when we once lived peacefully in a building called home.
Right now I'm still trying to make up for lost time to Jessa, while my sin is getting even deeper into Joyi.
Joyi... Does the wound I gave you still hurt? as a man even as a human being how cowardly I am, how despicable I have been to bruise some part of your body.
I didn't expect the dagger to rip your thin skin apart, until the blood stained this already wrinkled hand.
Although I know the answer but I always want to ask, could my sin be forgiven? could it be that you will return to my side as a loyal friend? should I make your vows to my late mother for all that?.
You know I'm just a coward hiding behind a big name, would you excuse me*?.'
Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok Tok
Back to Jack's reality, he immediately closed the book before yelling at the entrance knocker.
Chequelek
Hans' head poked out from behind the door, his smile knotted sweetly before then his entire body entered the room.
"What's up, Hans?" ask Jack.
"What did grandpa do?" ask Hans back.
"Nothing, grandfather just checked a few files" said Jack but his hand reflexes closed the book where he just poured out his problems.
It made Hans a little curious by glancing at the book, but as Jack covered it up he assumed something important he should not be nosy about.
"Did grandpa have a minute?"
"Sure, sit down" he said.
Hans nodded and immediately sat down right in front of his grandfather, his face looking puzzled revealing the mind that was being filled with something.
"What's bothering you?" tanyanya.
"Um... actually I'm not so sure, but. I think I can get a second chance" he said, glancing at Jack who was focused on listening.
"Can... I go back to work? I don't expect a good position, it doesn't matter to me to start from zero" he continued.
"Oh Hans, of course. You have a thing for that, you know? grandpa was happy to hear that. Of course you will get your job back, grandfather will talk to your father immediately to arrange it" said Jack breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you, this means a lot to me" Hans said with a big smile.
This was indeed quite surprising, considering how strong Hans was to choose to return to the academy he never expected Hans would ask for it.
Behind this sudden request was a simple reason that Hans did not reveal, it concerned his calmness.
Since the world reached peace and his work became relaxed everything began to get boring, especially his family problems that were tired enough so he needed something as a diversion.
If Reah never expressed his feelings then his work at the border would still be fun, they would share funny stories every day until his tiredness was gone.
But the only friend he had made it a rule that they would never meet again, even though Reah would be indifferent and avoid it.
Therefore he thought maybe he could try again to work in the office, he hoped he would not be given a job that requires great courage because he knew his ability did not get there.
After talking Hans left, the night was late enough that his eyes began to sleepy.
"Is Grandpa inside?" ask Agler who passed by outside the room.
"Yes, do you want to meet him?"
"Mm, there's some files I need to hand over to him"
"Oh, so it seems" said Hans, nodding his head.
"You're off duty?" ask Agler because Hans is rarely home because ghosts serve outside the city.
"No, I just talked to Grandpa to discuss work. I intend to go back to the office, maybe the day after I can work in the office again"
"Really?" ask Agler enough to not believe it.
"Yes, I want to try it again"
"That's great, we can work together later" Agler said.
"I'll look forward to it"
"Me too, then see you later" Agler said goodbye.
Hans raised one hand with a small smile, letting Agler go past him to get into Jack's study.

Although there was no new news that he brought but Jhon still came to see Reinner, it was because they had to go back to discussing the plan to take the throne so that there was no mistake.
Reinner, who now chooses to stay with Chad for a while, accidentally opens the window of his room even though the night is late, it's because Jhon has a habit of entering through the window if he comes to Joyi's house.
Along with a gentle gust of wind his feet stepped in, realizing his presence Reinner turned to look at his former master.
"You're coming" he said.
"Did Tianna have the latest news?" the question was answered with a headband.
"Rei you know I don't doubt you, but what we're going to fight is a trained palace warrior. Even though every member of our group is strong but I'm still worried, shouldn't you ask Madam for help with how many troops?"
"I can't do it, there can't be a witch involved in this let alone a victim even if it's a volunteer"
"So you're sure you're gonna fight without an army?" ask Jhon.
Jhon silently complied, waiting for Reinner to explain his plan that he did not know.
"I asked Alabama to make a potion that could make us strong, like he gave Keenan but with a smaller dose"
"Really?" ask Jhon in shock.
"It's the only way we've got, with this we're neutralizing the victims"
"Alright, I look forward to it" said Jhon could not say anymore because he also had no way out.

The day changes with news from Jack, along with Shigima they agree to give Hans an opportunity with a position equivalent to Agler.
This decision has gone through various considerations, carving out in terms of the abilities and rights that Hans has.
Although a little insecure but responded by saying that he would exert all his abilities, everyone was happy to hear this like a sprout in the middle of the field.
Moreover, Amelia who had been waiting for the resurrection of her son as part of the Hermes family, there was a sense of pride that she could boast to others especially Violet.
Because the decision has been taken Hans also asked permission to start work tomorrow, he wanted to say goodbye to some colleagues at the border because from tomorrow he will not serve again.
Of course they'll allow it, after dinner Hans leaves immediately. It only took him about an hour and he had reached the border, the dark sky with cold air became the scene he longed for even though his eyes had long been staring.
From where he stood his eyes could immediately catch the figure of a colleague he wanted to visit, immediately he ran over.
"Reah." call her soft.
The girl's eyes bulged in shock as soon as her name was called, her muscles stiffened. Slowly he turned around, until his eyes collided with the man who had become a port.
Hans smiled even though Reah's face was quite cold, even he could see puddles beginning to form under his clear eyes.
"What are you doing?" ask Reah slowly over an accusation.
"I-I want to see you"
"Are you crazy? did you hit your head so hard that you forgot your memory?" snapped Reah in a high tone.
"Don't I explain it? should I go back to explaining?" ask without giving Agler a chance to talk.
"I just... "
"I don't want to hear it" recalls Reah.
Without caring for Hans he walked away, trying to calm the pounding of his heart that was so tight that it deafened the eardrum.
"Wait a minute.I just want to talk to you" Hans said as he ran over.
"I'm sick of it!" reah shouted suddenly which made Hans sculpt.
His face was laden with endless disappointment, as his eyes began to redden the puddle falling down making a torrential stream on the cheeks.
"Reah." called Hans slowly to feel guilty even though he himself was not sure he had made a mistake.
"When you were in my position, too. when our fate is the same but why do you keep torturing me? every day I have to take sleeping pills for good because even in a dream you do not let me calm down, when I wake up I have to breathe garbage immediately because your scent always pokes my lungs. Isn't that how you feel when your love doesn't reach its destination?" ask Reah with tears that won't stop.
Hans gasped at the confession, not knowing he had become a cruel person in silence.
Whuuuuss....
Though the wind blows slowly, but Reah also drifted to silence like a statue. It was lifeless with empty eyes but the tears were still flowing like a river, as if it had no boundaries.
"I'm sorry ". said Hans at last.
"No need" said Reah now calmer.
"It's not your fault, it's just my discontent until your shadow keeps twitching in your eyes. It's not your fault, because from the beginning I chose to fall in a hole that I made myself"
"I beg Reah." said Hans, who could not bear the lamentation.
Fu fufu...
Hans hand that was about to stroke Reah's head gently floated in the air when the sound of that little laugh he heard, Reah's lowered head began to lift along with the trembling of his growing body.
Hahahahahaha
With astonishment Hans pulled his hand back, staring puzzledly at Reah who was now laughing loudly. The longer the harder to make him uncomfortable, especially the expression of his laughter does not reflect a happy person.
"Isn't this funny? this cold-blooded girl, whose hands are always covered in monster blood begging for love in men who are not equal to her" Reah said amid the laughter.
"Yes, that's a shame" said Agler, who stopped Reah's laughter.
He looked coldly at Hans who had a gentle expression, his gaze full of warmth like a tree giving its branches for shade.
"You're beautiful, you're strong, you're great and you're tough. Why spend your time just to mourn me who tortured you, I am a coward so it is not appropriate for you" he said.
With great difficulty Reah gulped, his tears flowed back after he had stopped because of laughter.
"For the sake of love you're even ready to embrace thorns, then what does that hurt if it's not the happiness you'll get?" tanyakanya.
Reah was still speechless, letting Hans grab his hand and hold it gently.
"I came here as your friend and junior, from today I am out of duty and will not appear again before you. But if one day we cross paths by accident then at that time I will smile and greet you, because it is difficult for me to be hostile to you just because of your heart that I cannot repay" he said.
Somehow hearing the parting words made Reah's heart hurt more, it felt different from when he decided to stay away.
"Senior Reah, please keep our borders safe. I believe as chairman you will always be able to rely on, also take care of yourself well" said Hans who then let go of his hand.
There was a smile that he offered for the last time, as well as a wave of hands along with his steps that began to drift away.
There was no reply given by Reah, it was because he could not accept the peaceful farewell given by Hans.

Shigima has not yet given any news about Joyi's disappearance as well as his men who he sent to look for traces, this makes him even more unsettled.
Wrestling with himself in his mind resulted in Jack suffering from dizziness every day, he had tried to take medicine to overcome the disease but his dizziness did not disappear.
Like a leaf swept through a river current, he had no strength to pull over and had no way to save himself so that his body could only withstand the brunt of the strong current.
The night that he should lay down on Jack's soft bed instead went to his study, trying to see the files to keep himself busy.
He thought it might make him forget the problem, but when he looked around something made him aware of the missing item.
The book he used to write his heart curses had been flawed, the piece of paper containing the writing of his problem vanished by leaving an untidy mark.
