Chapter 66 Returns to the Initial Plan

Some of the water's surface froze like an ice skating spot, making her imagine some pretty dancing while gliding. Unfortunately she is not such a feminine girl, if she really did it might just be a show of embarrassment.

"What are you thinking?" ask Chad who just came back after buying coffee.

"Nothing" replied Ima as she grabbed the glass she had thrust for her.

Chad just sat down and sipped his hot coffee but the phone rang telling him that the brief meeting really had to end.

"Employment call?" ima said after Chad hung up.

"As I said, my work is getting more and more" he replied.

Ima carefully watched how Chad got up and finished his coffee with just a few sips.

"Should I come to your house? school is long so I have time"

"Of course, I want my room to be ready when I get home for a break" Chad replied.

Ima just snorted and let Chad go, although there was no clear status in their relationship but Ima felt she had become a wife. Her job is always to clean up the house and cook for Chad, the only thing she hasn't done is to serve as a wife.

When the road is full of snow, Chad actually prefers to jump from building to building, but the job that just called him is a girl who will get status beside him.

He stopped his car right on the side of the road where Kyra was standing, after turning off the engine he went out to meet her.

"Sorry to keep you waiting a long time" he said.

"It's okay, it's me who should apologize for calling you"

"No problem, I'm in! the air is getting cold" he replied.

This time Kyra ventured to talk, not something important but enough to make him closer to Chad's life that he did not know.

He was quite surprised also after realizing Chad was very friendly and open, without any fear slowly he realized maybe Chad is the right man who can make him happy.

It's possible that slowly he can forget Manager San and love Chad the way his mother wants him to.

"You wanna go in first?" bargain Kyra after they arrive at the Hermes residence.

"Sorry, it's late"

"All right, see you!" kyra said goodbye.

Chad replies with a wave of new hands and then gasps from the place, while Kyra just got inside after Chad's car completely disappeared from view.

"You're coming home, honey? why don't you ask the driver to pick you up?" ask Jack.

"It's okay, Chad picked me up"

"What's? why?" ask Jack in surprise.

"It's okay, he just picked me up" Kyra replied confusedly.

"Grandfather thought you didn't like it"

"I made a mistake, he's actually good"

"Of course!" violet shouted suddenly which made them turn to her.

"Had I told you you wouldn't regret my choice, this time you did well Blue" she continued.

"Honey, go to your room" Jack gently told Kyra without taking his eyes off Violet.

"You're new to this town, son, you don't know these people very well" Jack told Violet after Kyra's departure.

"Maybe that's according to dad" said Violet who chose to stop this conversation.

Violet is too stubborn to be advised, for some reason she's the only one who's always been against Jack. When Ryu first introduces Violet, Jack is actually a bit hesitant, but seeing Ryu who really love Violet, getting them married is the best choice.

"Dad, there is something I want to show you" said Shigima who suddenly came.

"What's? why do you look worried?" ask Jack.

Instead of answering Shigima took her to the study so that no one would eavesdrop on their conversation, worried about Shigima's behavior, Jack asked.

This time Shigima answered him with a document, of course Jack immediately checked it and got his anxiety increasingly from the inside.

"I've made sure, all my suspicions are correct" Shigima said.

"I must warn Violet immediately" Jack replied.

Shigima nodded in understanding, calling her Violet and Ryu into the study to see what she got.

"I don't understand what this means" Violet said despite having seen the contents of the document.

"The Sanwa Company is the only rival of the Hermes company, the bankruptcy of our company there is interference from the owner of Sanwa. And Chad who came to propose to Kyra was Chad Menhad, CEO of Sanwa" Shigima said.

"Remember when Dad said he was a vampire? it's because he's a vampire who attacked visitors at our hotel branch" Jack said.

"It doesn't make sense, maybe I'm the wrong person" Violet denied.

"Violet?" call Ryu fret.

"I don't want to hear this nonsense anymore, I'll prove that Chad is a good young man who will make Kyra happy" Violet ended a conversation that only made her high blood.

The first step he took to prove and achieve his dream was to call Joyi, make an appointment to discuss something most important.

The brief message he received that afternoon left him standing on the side of the road impatiently, waiting as he occasionally checked the watch until Chad stopped his car right in front of him.

"You're so excited" Chad said.

"We're going to see a good show, how can I not be excited" he said as he got into the car.

To make up for his mistake of leaving Ima to pick up Kyra he thought of something that could make Ima happy, his choice was fixed on acrobatics in a building not far from the city center.

They had just arrived but Ima was already impatient to enter, by pulling Chad's hand to walk more quickly he entered the building.

After giving his ticket a guard greeted their arrival and directed where they should walk, got a nice proper seat Ima looked around.

A knickknacks seller looks busy peddling his merchandise to every visitor who comes, the lights are still brightly lit showing the seats are still empty.

A few minutes later, a host came to the center of the stage to tell that the show would soon begin, holding Chad's hand tightly, Ima smiled broadly showing her enthusiasm.

As their opening is presented by a funny attraction brought a flock of clowns, they throw the ball up quite high and a lot. Continued with more dangerous objects - sharp knives - the attraction lasted a few minutes and ended with a standing ovation.

The next show is an acrobatic dance where some gadia is thrown and caught, quite stressful because Ima knows the risk is death if his friend does not manage to catch the girl.

"Would we be cold? my throat feels dry" Ima said on her way out of the building.

"You kept screaming throughout the show, it's still a good thing your vocal cords didn't break" Chad said.

"When teacher Nick taught me what it was like to have my life in danger every second, but seeing the show made me realize humans were the craziest creatures. They only have one life with a bone that is easily broken but still dare to challenge death"

"That's their job risk" Chad said.

"Eh eskrim! I retract my words, we should just buy ice cream" said Ima excited.

Chad can only obey without being able to speak, the two ice cream has filled Ima's hands without any desire to share it with Chad. Observing each sweet and cold lick made Ima several times close her eyes because of the pain.

"That's the result if you're greedy" Chad scolds.

"I just need some time to adjust" he said.

"Ah look, it's melting" Chad exclaimed as he licked the side of the ice cream in Ima's hand.

"Aaaaahh...stop! you're gonna spend it" Ima scolded because Chad did it so many times.

Not that it stopped but the ban made Chad even more eager to eat it with just one mouthful, of course it made Ima nag.

Instead of replacing him Chad did the same thing to the other ice cream, every scream and scolding from Ima was only responded to with a small laugh.

He enjoyed it, the relaxed moments where the world was only theirs without any problems from either the company or the others.

Without realizing it Kyra was there, watching her since the moment they exited the building.

Kyra initially thought it was just a look-alike until curiosity led her to follow Chad so far, now seeing Chad's affection with Ima led her to believe it was Chad she knew.

"You just got home?" greet Joyi on that late night.

"Why hasn't Grandma slept?" reply Chad with another question.

"There's something Grandma wants to talk to you about"

"Why didn't grandma call me?"

"Grandma doesn't want to interrupt your time"

"What do you want Grandma to talk about?"

"Last afternoon Violet went to see Grandma, she said Jack knew your identity as their business rival. Jack insists on keeping you away from Kyra, which is why Violet asked you to speed up your engagement" said Joyi.

Chad threw himself on the couch, thinking of taking the next step.

"Chad, we'd better start this war openly. You've had enough contact with Kyra, no matter how our target is Jack" said Joyi.

Of course because he was worried that the problem would get more complicated, there was a fear that Ima would be dragged into this case because of the relationship between Chad and him.

"Is that so? okay, get ready for the engagement" Chad said.

"You're gonna do it?" ask Joyi again.

"If he finds out I'm Chad, that's good, I'll stand next to Grandma as a grandchild" she replied.

Finally returning to the original plan, Joyi immediately tells Violet that the engagement will be held at the Sanwa hotel. Preparations will start from the venue of the event, all of it will be handled by Joyi according to Violet's wishes.

But Kyra was not happy, she who initially began to hope in Chad suddenly hesitated over what she saw yesterday. He was sure that the girl with Chad was neither a brother nor a friend, and no one behaved that way except with a partner.

Unable to struggle with the question that made it dizzy Kyra decided to see Chad, alone she met Chad in her office.

After waiting for a few minutes, the receptionist told him to come to his office straight away, gathering all his courage and finally Kyra knocked on the door.

"Come in" cried Chad from the inside.

After getting the permit Kyra opens the door and goes inside, confronting Chad who seems to be still busy with his work.

"Sorry, am I bothering you?" tanyakanya.

"No, soon my work is done. What made me come to my office?"

"That's.I want to talk about our engagement plans"

"Oh so, well give me a few minutes" Chad said.

While waiting for Chad to finish his job Kyra could only sit and wait without anything she could do.

The door suddenly opened and showed Manager San entering with some files, seeing Kyra's whereabouts there he was quite shocked as well but then his eyes turned to Chaf as if they didn't know each other.

"I'm sorry, this is the file you requested" he said.

"Oh, thank you Manager San. In the meeting, please lead me until I come"

"I understand" replied Manager San briefly.

Before he goes back, his eyes meet with Kyra but it's just a casual glance, Kyra shows no interest in the slightest while Manager San tries to behave like a stranger.

"Done, okay now I'm free" Chad got up from his seat.

Moving in front of Kyra he started to relax.

"Um..mom..told me our engagement will be done soon" Kyra began.

"Mrs Violet came to see Grandma to discuss it, I don't care about the time but if it's incriminating you'd better negotiate it with your mother"

"That's.I really don't mind, it's just..um.." The speech doesn't go on because he doesn't know how to express it.

"What's wrong?" ask Chad gently.

"Chad, are you serious about our relationship?" ask Kyra to make sure.

"Of course, why?"

"I saw you with another girl, I thought she wasn't your brother or your friend. I think in our relationship there should be nothing to hide, when being your fiance I don't want any other problems" he said.

Chad is fixated on Kyra's wry eyes, from there he finds a girl's hope dependent on her.

"You don't have to worry about anything, our engagement will go according to plan and I promise you it will be happy" Chad said standing up.

"But I can't if there's another woman! whoever he is I need you to be aware of your position" Kyra's sergeant can't take it for granted.
