Chapter 13 The Victory

That night Chad came home quickly from the office, when he reached the house the servants greeted him as usual. But this time something was different, Joyi was there with the best clothes she had.

"Grandmother, has something happened?" chad asked clearly seeing the bright look on Joyi's face.

"Oh my grandson, today is the best day we have" replied Joyi as she led Chad into the dining room.

"What's wrong?"

"Tonight we will celebrate our victory" said Joyi showing the food and drink she had prepared at the dinner table.

"Victory for what Grandma meant?" ask Chad who doesn't know.

"Our plan has been successful, the Hermes family sold almost all of their assets and now they have nothing to be proud of"

"really?"

"Grandma's been looking for a baby, they moved to the suburbs to manage their little hotel there"

"That's great news grandma, then let's toast to celebrate!" said Chad.

A waiter swiftly unscrewed the bottle and poured a glass of drink for them, throwing each other a smile they enjoyed every delicious gulp.

For the first time the servants saw Chad smile, but unfortunately the smile was so scary that it made some servants shudder.

"What's your next move?" joyi asked in between meals.

"I plan to call the reporters to stay at the hotel, I'll give them a VIP room to be free to party in each room"

"Mm, that's a good idea. We're skyrocketing to the sky as they're falling down"

"This is nothing, Grandma, I will make Hermes suffer for life until he is unable to rise again" said Chad full of ambition.

Joyi smiles happy to see Chad's strong determination, his patience over the years finally bears sweet fruit as well. Chad is like a weapon that he managed to take care of so well that he was able to kill the target he wanted.

Chad wasted no time, he immediately held a meeting to discuss the services to be done to the reporters. Of course the interview is also included, Chad appoints manager San to lead the interview.

He reasoned that there were other interests so that the time came later the guests came manager San lah who would welcome them, when what really happened Chad did not like when faced with many cameras.

"Grandmother will replace you, it feels rude if the hotel owner is not there. Grandma's position is much higher than you and this will actually be more profitable" said Joyi who participated in the meeting.

His words are true, do not need people to know who he is because he has a secret that should not be known by anyone. Even manager San himself who was almost twenty-four hours there for him never knew his true identity, being popular was quite risky for him who was not an ordinary human being.

A few days later the Sanwa hotel welcomed the arrival of reporters, the managers of San and Joyi were so quick to serve. Moreover, Joyi who almost his entire life in the service of the Hermes family is very sensitive to his guests.

When given the VIP room the reporters were quite surprised because the Hermes group previously gave them a regular room.

"If compared with the splendor of Hermes honestly I say you are still left behind, but the service you provide is very much better than him" said one reporter.

"In the future I will renovate the hotel to make it more comfortable to live in, for Sanwa hotel service is number one"

"Yes you're right, we just set foot in this hotel but your service has been very luxurious. It really amazed us" said another.

"Thank you for your compliments, please enjoy the facilities we have provided" said Joyi politely.

The reporters were endlessly amazed, they were so spoiled all day full of various facilities. Even whatever they want quickly Joyi grants it, for the sake of raising her prestige this is still a small matter.

As night fell manager San came to Chad's new residence, he reported the extent of their success in dealing with the reporters.

"Just do grandma's orders, she knows best what's best for the company"

It was certainly profitable, even Sanwa received good criticism from hotel critics. In this way more and more people are booking rooms for the sake of feeling the service that is in the best fields, Joyi also widens her wings covering others.

On another occasion Chad is busy preparing for his departure, not many items he brought because the intention of his departure is not to travel.

"Are you going now?" ask Joei who has been told about his strategy.

"Yes grandma"

"Can you just take a minute for Grandma? we managed to climb one more ladder, grandma really wants to celebrate with you" clever Joyi.

In Chad's room, a waiter brings Joyi's favorite drink, even if it's just the two of them without the waiter Joyi unscrewing the bottle and pouring the contents into the glass.

"Thank you" said Chad to receive a glass containing the drink.

"After your departure grandma will definitely feel lonely" said Joyi.

"Grandmother is not alone, there are many plans and manager San was ready to serve grandmother. Anyway I won't be gone long"

"They are Chadian foreigners, not part of the family. They never looked at grandma with love like you did, even if they obeyed grandma's orders but it was all for money"

"I beg you to be patient, this is for Grandma's happiness too. After everything is done I promise I will go home quickly" Chad said as he rubbed his hands gently.

"Grandmother's happiness lies not only in the destruction of Hermes, but also in your safety. Take Jhon with you so you're not alone"

"No need grandma, I can be alone"

"Chad, you're not used to hunting then what if you're thirsty? you're used to drinking in a glass instead of on human skin, and out there prey struggles often happen. Grandma is worried that you will get in trouble if you are alone, at least Jhon can help you find blood" said Joyi.

"If it calms grandma down then fine, I'll ask uncle Jhon to come along"

"Good, he may no longer want to deal with the Hermes family. Just tell him you only asked to be with him"

"Yes, be careful on the road" replied Joyi ushering in the departure of her granddaughter.

Chad meets up with Jhon at his usual place, where he reveals his intention to wreak havoc at a tourist spot close to the Hermes hotel. According to the orders of Joyi he asked Jhon to accompany him on the journey, Jhon did not need to participate in his actions and Jhon agreed.

The tourist attractions are indeed quite far, they choose to use the bus to go and arrive right at night. In such a countryside there was no other choice but to spend the night in the forest, Jhon did not mind because he was used to it.

But for Chad himself he was quite uncomfortable, but he tried to accept the situation because he did not want to meet with humans. His mission in that place is to make the humans afraid of the terror that will be made, so if he joined the stay at one of the houses of the citizens then it can trigger failure.

"You can sleep?" ask Jhon.

"I'm just not sleepy yet" Chad replied reasoned.

Jhon could only smile faintly at the answer, a glance Chad was like a cold, ruthless man. But after getting to know Chad, only half-vampire humans can't do anything about it, he looks a lot like the vampire nobles.

Rich, have everything, like to rule, have a high position so that all submit and respect it. But not good at hunting, because there are people under him who will give what he wants with money in return. For this reason Chad is not accustomed to sleeping in the wild or hunting because he is used to drinking from a glass.

Jhon thinks if Chad meets an outcast vampire or ex-soldier and fights prey with him, he can make sure Chad loses because he is not good at fighting.

In the morning before Chad and Jhon wake up to continue the journey, from where they need just a few minutes and arrive at the destination.

Chad scouted the place to better understand the situation and conditions, after a few hours of reconnaissance he finally returned to where Jhon was waiting.

"How's it?" ask Jhon.

"I'll kill a tourist in the forest, I'll make it look like it's a beast"

"You can do that sort of thing?" ask Jhon doubtfully.

"He's a striped-nose guy, some time ago he teased the village girl and dumped her just like that"

"You get that kind of information in just a few hours?" ask Jhon amazed.

"I'm used to stalking, that's one of my skills" Chad replied.

"Not bad, well do your job while I'm going to find food for us" said Jhon.

Chad begins his act by following the man he targets wherever he goes, from noon Chad sees the man walk into the bar and spends his time drinking until dusk.

Until the moment the man came out of the bar and saw that the situation was quite quiet Chad began his action by drugging the man and taking him to the forest.

Accidentally letting the man's body lie on the ground on the edge of a forest not far from the settlement, Chad began to slash the man's neck and taste his blood.

"As I suspected, poor quality" he murmured.

Chad then wears a mask and with a special potion he resuscitates the man, seconds later the man wakes up and is shocked to see Chad wearing the mask.

"Who are you?" ask the man nervously.

Without further ado using his sharp fingernails Chad scratched the man's cheek until it bled.

Aaaarrrrh....

A loud shout at the edge of the forest makes the birds fly, not enough to get there Chad clawed back in the chest and then turned to the stomach.

Such intense pain made the man try to fight as he could but Chad's strength was much greater, he continued to claw blindly here and there just like a wild beast.

Frightened, the man tries to escape but Chad is much faster than him. Chad manages to catch him and claw back until the man weakens from bleeding too much.

A few minutes later the man's groan disappeared, Chad's nails filled with blood and flesh he cleaned in the stream as well as his clothes were filled with red patches.

Two days later an officer at a tourist spot found the body of a man who had been torn apart in the forest, panicked and frightened he immediately contacted local police.

When taken to the hospital for an autopsy, the doctor stated that it was the act of a wild animal because there were many scars and signs of resistance, the man's death case was closed just like that while police are now putting up warning signs for anyone who wants to enter the forest.

Until police say the forest is safe no one can enter it, rumors of the tragedy quickly spread. Some of the natives there have not dared to enter the forest if alone, but the tourists, especially the young ones, are still stubborn.

For Chad itself it is not enough, until the place is completely deserted he will continue to spread terror in that place.
