Chapter 121 The Mysteries Behind Agler's Movements

"W-what are you doing?" violet asked in shock.

The room light was off but he could see the entire room thanks to the light from outside.

"Mother." call Kyra in a panic.

Violet stared at the confused two people, while Kyra could not give any reason.

"So I saw that the lights in Kyra's room were still on, so I checked them out. Kyra is just thirsty and needs a little help getting water, now she's getting ready to go back to sleep" Agler said.

"Oh so it seems" said Violet.

"Why haven't you slept?" ask Kyra.

"Mom just wanted to check on you, apparently a mother's instincts can't lie. Now it doesn't matter because you've got the water"

"I was about to leave after turning off the lights, it was late so you should also go to sleep" Agler said.

"Mm, yeah. Good night dear" said Violet.

"Good night ma'am" Kyra replied.

Agler took a glance before closing the door, but the direction of his gaze passed Kyra. It's a little lower and it's under the bed, where the Manager is hiding there.

"It's safe" whispered Kyra.

Arghh

Erang Manager San tried to get his body out of that narrow enough spot, his eyes immediately finding worry on Kyra's face after making it out.

Moments before the tense event happened Agler first caught them, of course it made Kyra almost die of shock.

But even more surprising was when Agler said nothing, as if from the beginning he already knew their relationship.

And as they were silent in silence Agler's five sharp senses caught a voice, it was Violet's footsteps that led to Kyra's room.

"Quick hiding" Agler said suddenly.

Of course it was more confusing, but Agler didn't have time to explain so it didn't give them a chance to ask.

After Violet and Agler leave, they understand why Agler told Manager San to go into hiding.

"I think Agler is on our side" Kyra said.

"If it's really good, I hope it is" said Manager San.

No mother can rest easy knowing that her child's life is in danger, even if it's a foster child.

As if her beard was burning in the middle of the desert, even Mina could not work properly as she kept thinking about Agler.

"Ahhh.this will kill me" he erased the unfinished stitches.

Unable to hold back that worry Mina decided to go see Shigima, for now only she could talk to.

Getting a message from Mina certainly made Shigima a little anxious, although she had expected this. When he saw Agler visiting there was nothing he was worried about, he was happy about the visit. But when he heard Agler would stay at the Hermes residence it made his heart mixed, considering the relationship between them could deteriorate due to his mistakes on Ima.

Choosing a place that was quiet Mina first arrived, a lapse shortly afterwards then Shigima appeared.

"How's Agler doing?" asked Mina without rambling.

"It's good, we all welcome him with pleasure"

"Agler just wants to know what his family is like, so act like a normal family. I'll keep quiet as long as Agler lives in peace, remember that I've never messed around in my words"

"Let Mina, Agler was treated like the rest of the Hermes"

"I don't want that! the entire Hermes family is entangled in a risky matter, my Agler should not be a part of your problem!" snapped Mina.

"Alright well, I understand. "shigima replied quickly.

Although not entirely sure but Mina nodded her head, trying to stop the shaking in her hands from being anxious by thinking about positive things.

There was something strange in the dining room at the Joyi residence, that morning there was only Chad and Alisya present without their family heads.

"Where's grandma? is he not awake yet? " ask Chad.

"The lady went out this morning" replied Aeda, the butler.

"Where are you going so early?"

"I don't know sir, madam didn't tell"

"Oh well" said Chad and returned to face his breakfast.

But his attention was distracted by Alisya's moody expression, aware that something was wrong he began to ask.

"You good?"

"Hmm? oh yea.. "

"Your face looks pale, is your sleep well?"

"Ah, actually not" replied Alisya admitting.

"What's wrong?" ask Chad to be curious.

For a moment Alisya looked at Chad, weighing whether he should say it or not. But because he's used to being open to Chad, there's nothing he can hide from Chad.

"Actually my grandmother and I were struggling"

"What do you mean, fight?" ask Chad to not understand.

"Either what happened I didn't understand, but suddenly my grandmother prevented me from meeting Agler"

"What?"

Chad can only be silent, he who knows Joyi very well began to smell something wrong. Perhaps this is concerned with the grudges of those who have not achieved their goals.

"You don't have to worry, I'll talk to grandma" Chad promised.

Finishing his breakfast quickly Chad leaves as soon as Manager San arrives, hoping that Joyi is in the office so they can talk.

But a message from Ima makes him switch objectives, saving his intentions until his affairs are done with Ima.

In the usual place they met Ima was waiting, was daydreaming alone.

"What's wrong?" ask Chad without a word.

"There's something I want to talk about, it's about Agler's sister"

"What happened to her?" chad asked quite surprised because he knew about Agler's problem.

"Whether this is good or bad but this obviously makes me uneasy, brother.he chose to live with the Hermes family"

"What?" one more news in the morning made him deaf.

"What do you mean?" reset Chad.

"Sister told us that he wanted to get to know the Hermes family further, however, because he was one of the descendants of Hermes so he decided to try living with them" Ima said.

"It actually makes me uncomfortable because the way you talk is like you're covering something up from me, especially if you're very opposed to the family. In fact, he often emphasized that we are his real family, because of that, I worry about him" he explained.

Although it is still a mystery but it seems Chad is starting to understand the problem that happened to Agler, he suspects this has something to do with Joyi.

While at the Hermes residence the breakfast took place as usual, the dining room looked more crowded with one member increasing.

Jack could not stop smiling at the children and grandchildren gathered at the dinner table, reminding him of a time when all five children were still intact.

"Try this salad, it tastes better than it looks" Jessa said, offering a bowl of salad.

"Thank you" said Agler.

"Um... What about Kyra's breakfast?" tanyakanya.

"Kyra's mealtime is a little different from ours, after breakfast I'll bring her breakfast" Violet replied.

"May I offer to deliver it?" ask Agler who made Violet freeze for a moment.

"Of course, I'll prepare later" he replied at last.

Agler smiled happily, he resumed his breakfast although sometimes his eyes would glance at all members of the Hermes family present.

He considered Jack as the head of the family who was honorable and wise to see his seat late in the middle, quite different when he visited his house at that time.

It continues with Jessa who is like a businesswoman's wife, but secretly she feels a powerful witch aura from inside.

Meanwhile, Violet and Amelia are just ordinary daughters-in-law with different traits, not prominent but also quite calculated.

After breakfast, Agler went to Kyra's camp to give his breakfast, when he entered, apparently Kyra was awake and looked fresher than yesterday.

"It looks like your sleep is good" commented Agler.

"After breakfast what are your activities?"

"Especially if not therapy, even though the doctor said I could not walk normally but there was hope at least I could stand with the help of a cane. It means I won't spend the rest of my life in bed or on wheels" Kyra replied.

"That's good, may that hope come true" Agler said.

They smiled for a moment, but then Kyra put on a serious face and asked.

"Agler... What exactly was your purpose in coming here? why did you save me and San?."

It was not an easy question to answer, if he gave the same reason he gave Mina it would obviously look strange because Kyra was quite sensitive.

Little smile Agler replied.

"Just because you're different castes or descendants doesn't mean your love is off limits, in this world there are cases where vampires fall in love with their own prey."

It was an answer that referred to the condition of the two of them, Kyra was born a witch even though she did not learn magic completely.

Chad goes alone to see Jhon at his house, immediately telling him about the sudden departure of Joyi.

"I feel something strange, not usually grandma disappears like this" Chad said clearly anxious.

"I'll find him soon and if I find him I'll tell you soon" said Jhon.

"Sorry to be troublesome"

"No problem, I understand your feelings" said Jhon.

He immediately bailed to start the search, while Chad, though agitated, decided to return to the office to work as usual.
