Hello Brothers: The Prince of Twins
Chapter 46 Journey To The Goblin's Nest

Their journey had just begun even though a day had been missed by trekking through the wilderness, this was the second time for Hans to walk through the forests because of the mission. His recently healed leg continued to twitch, draining the pain all over his palm.

Arriving upstream as the sun begins to set makes them decide to spend the night there, from the light of the bonfire Hans again looks at the map just to make sure that he has walked on the right track.

"We're a quarter of the way, about two days away we'll get to our destination" Hans said.

"That's good, faster until it gets better" replied the Elf.

With one hand the Elf handed the newly cooked grilled fish to Hans, letting him eat before going to bed. The nocturnal animal begins to show its existence just as Hans throws away the rod used to burn the fish towards the fire, causing the red tongues to spread warmth.

"Elf. I know it's late, but thank you. Since the beginning we met you have helped me, even now you are still helping me" Hans said with blushing cheeks.

"No need to think about it, my job is to help anyone who needs help" the Elf replied with a smile.

It made Hans' ears more red and hot, he slightly turned his face so embarrassed because he did not know what to do.

"Um...how about you just say what you want? I can't ignore all your kindness, it feels like my whole life will be haunted by a sense of indebtedness if I don't repay it"

"No need, no more nothing I want."

That answer made Hans scowl, one thing even though it was small to be able to return the favor of an Elf he would feel very happy.

"Ah...what if you come with me to the city" said Hans who suddenly got the idea.

"What's? the town?" elf is confused.

"Yes, don't you never get out of the woods? once we get the potion you can come with me to the city, the scenery there is very different from the forest. There are tall buildings and shops selling all kinds of goods, I will also take you to the cafe to taste various kinds of food and drinks " replied Hans excitedly.

But the response of the Elves outside of his expedition, not a hint of Elf showed interest even his face looked flat.

"I can't leave my forest, whatever's going on out there isn't part of me" the Elf replied softly.

"But you haven't tried it yet, the outside world is just as fun I guarantee you'll definitely feel good in... "

"I told you I can't leave! I don't care what's out there!" the cry of the Elves cut off Hans speech.

His chest rose and fell as if exhausted with a frown on his forehead that made his face look hard, but Hans expression that gawked in shock made the Elf realize that he had gone too far.

"A.. I. I'm tired, I'm going to sleep now" said Elf slowly without being able to look Hans in the eye.

Since then the Elf was more silent, even his face always looked gloomy with a forehead that continued to constrict. Hans tried to melt the atmosphere with a few simple laughs, but even the Elves did not hear what he said.

One day in hell was so excruciating, now without a good night Hans slept first letting the dreamy Elves in front of the fireplace.

The morning where he woke up to the dazzling sunlight of the fireplace extinguished in the absence of Elves, immediately Hans stood up and called out the name of Elf.

But instead of the birds answering the call, Hans panicked and immediately cleared his bag and ran to find the Elves without any definite purpose. He was almost desperate to feel disappointed when he saw the Elves were trying to catch fish in the river, exhaled a long breath to throw away the negative aura that had enveloped.

"You got the fish?" hans approached.

"Ah... mm" replied the Elf slightly smiling as she shook her head.

Hans smiled and jumped into the river, the cold water made him shudder but within seconds he was used to it. Apparently Hans is better at this, although Elf for life lives in the forest but he rarely catches fish for consumption because of that he is not so clever.

Within a few minutes Hans was able to get two fish with a size large enough, felt enough for their breakfast Hans was getting out of the water and started collecting twigs to burn fish.

While the Elves cleared the fish while waiting for the fire to be large enough to burn, a few minutes passed without anyone talking to each other. Both Hans and Elf were engrossed in gazing at the lick of fire that was burning the fish, slowly spreading a distinctive, appetizing scent.

"Hans, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have yelled at you" said the Elf suddenly hearing the sad face of the marker he was indeed sorry.

"Hmm, no need to think about it. I'm also wrong to keep forcing you" Hans replied happily because the Elves wanted to talk again.

"There's a reason I can't tell you, the point is I can't go to your world"

"I understand, sorry I'm selfish."

"Ah.... Because I can't go what if you come here?" said Elf suddenly.

"What?"

"After your plans go your way you can come visit me, bring me the food you want me to taste it"

"Right, I can do it" Hans said excitedly.

They smile at each other and Hans recounts how his life as a city boy was with passion, things Elves might like.

The story accompanies the steps of those who return to continue the journey, a day filled with fairy tales until finally the Elves announce they are almost arriving at the lair of goblins.

"We're leaving tomorrow morning, just as the goblins are leaving the nest" Elf said.

Hans just nodded following the direction of the Elves because he had no experience of the creature, they stayed overnight not far from the nest so that it did not take long to arrive but was quite safe.

With a small fireplace not to be too flashy but enough to warm up the body against the cold of the night, a thin cloth-covered Hans sat right next to the Elves who were accustomed to the weather there.

"You okay?" ask Elf.

Hans nodded despite clearly trembling his hands, The Elf could not help but smile at that strong-assed attitude. There was a glass of warm milk which he heated over the fireplace into a glass, then poured it on Hans.

"If we are lucky the creature will leave the nest after sunrise, but sometimes in sunny weather it prefers to stay in the nest so pray at least tomorrow cloudy" he said.

"If I hadn't met you maybe I'd be gone by now, fighting the herd of vaganences alone wasn't easy and now I have to have a strategy to take the potion"

"It seems that we are destined to meet" said the Elf while staring at the embers.

"Do you believe in destiny?" ask Hans.

"Of course, I'm sure behind a meeting there's a lesson I can take. After twenty-five years you're the first human I've met, at first I was quite surprised but considering you're a witch it's not strange"

"So what lessons do you think you can learn after meeting me?" hans asked clearly showing interest.

The elf smiled as he turned his eyes to the star-studded night sky, there was a pause that made Hans impatient until the Elf finally opened his mouth.

"Although my forest is peaceful but the world is not okay, if I keep quiet then it means I am selfish. It's too bad for me to keep that trait, I think if I help you save the world then I save my forest too."

Sincerity flowed in every strand of the word, for the umpteenth time Hans was stunned. Amazed at the beauty of the heart that Elves have, the appeal of the Goddess for him Elf is the real Goddess.

* * *

Luck sided with him this time, the Goblin left her nest just as the sun rose. Without wasting time Elves guided Hans to enter the nest which was a cave, even though the place was quiet but they still had to be careful because the Goblins could come at any time.

The cave is not deep enough but large enough to be able to hold a pile of gold coins, like finding Hans treasure amazed at all objects such as glasses, plates to gold-plated crowns.

"The dish was in the form of a small bottle with a golden color as well, look carefully over there while I will search over here" the Elf said.

"I understand" Hans replied.

He went to the left and began to scrape the pile of coins, hunting with time until the droplets of sweat fell soaked the coins to make it sparkle.

Srek Srek Srek

The sound of the steps being dragged almost made his heart fall from shock, he looked at the Elves and looked at them frantically until the Elves signaled to hide.

As soon as possible Hans looked for a place and decided to hide behind a large rock in a pile of gold coins, watching a creature that entered the cave.

His skin was green like a pea with a large height and a distended stomach, Hans could see there was a pair of horns sticking out of his forehead as well as teeth that seemed to contain all fangs.

Bruck...

Goblin itu menjatuhkan tubuh besarnya di atas tumpukan emas hingga membuat koin-koin itu berhamburan ke segala arah, saat itulah Hans melihat sebuah botol yang ia cari selama ini.
