Thirty minutes passed but Hans' waiting ended in vain, Keenan did not also emerge from the hole which made him wonder with a little worry.
"Maybe he's quite nervous" he murmured thinking logically.
But waiting was not an easy job until he felt a strange awkwardness, a premonition that led him to the explanation of the Elves at that time.
"Oh, shit!" muttered.
Rushing he ran through the forest, looking for a place where he had been shelter from all the dangers and tired that was quite torturous. His memory is still good so it did not take long finally he arrived, but unfortunately the place was uninhabited.
"Elf.." call him.
Slowly he went in and checked, from the dust, it was clear that the Elves were not there for a long time.
"Elf.." he cried again as he walked out.
Silence, not even a single animal voice said. Anxiety became more and more his every step through the forest without any signs of life until he reached the river, the place was deserted.
"Elf...Where are you?" his screams were almost shattered with despair.
Luckily the small winged creature saw it, with just one look it was able to recognize that face which made it immediately fly towards the house.
For a magical creature to cross dimensions to shorten the journey is very easy, when he gets to the first thing he comes to, of course, Elves.
"Elf, wake!" he shouted with a distinctive small voice.
"Elf stop your hermitage, Hans comes looking for you" he said.
The eyes that had been closed for so long finally opened, revealing deep blue eyes. His silver hair that had been asleep all this time also woke up and swayed along with his body that began to move.
"What?" ask her in a soft voice.
"I saw him in the river, he was looking for you" Mathilda said.
Smile finally expands on the face that is almost a statue, his blue eyes sparkle with a slight reddening due to the powerless holding back tears that are ready to decompose.
His legs that had been folded for a long time began to open and rise even though a little difficult because his body did not get nutrition, even so a happy feeling was able to make him rise and run.
Imposing an unable leg even to stand up straight with difficulty he ran out, towards the river where Hans was. Together with Mathilda who accompanied his steps the smile continued to persist there, with the help of the trees as a support finally he finally heard the sound of someone shouting his name.
"Mathilda, is that..him?" asked the Elves getting excited.
The small head swayed downwards in response, so the Elf took out all her strength to get there.
On the trunk of the larger tree where he was leaning he finally saw the back of a man he had been waiting for, with a closer distance, he could hear his name clearly and loudly.
"Hans.." cried Elf.
Although not so tight but in the quiet forest of course Hans can hear it, slowly he turned around and looked at a girl leaning against a tree.
Blue eyes that he had longed for, silver hair that glittered in the moonlight to a clean white skin with red lips.
"Elf.." call her slow.
They smiled at each other and then moved and ran at the same time.
Brucks
"Getc!" hans shouted in shock.
His feet had already crossed the line, not should he have run that far after so long kneeling in his hermitage. Hans swiftly grabbed the weak body and held it in his arms, despite being in a very weak state but the Elf was still able to raise his hand to stroke Hans cheek making sure this was not a dream.
"Elf, what happened to you?" hans asked worriedly.
"He was exhausted, after your departure he did a hermitage to get the Father's blessing in order to meet you in the outside world" Mathilda said.
"What's? Elf.." muttered Hans surprised.
Feeling guilty with sadness he lifted the body of the Elf and carried it to bring it home, on the bed slowly in his bed Elf.
"Hans all this time he did not eat and drink, give him something to restore the body" said Mathilda.
Unfortunately there was no food there, it was too late to find food. Luckily he remembered the gifts he had brought to keep the promise, out of his pocket he took out a small box.
"You remember my promise before I left? I brought you candy with all kinds of flavors, it's the strawberry fruit flavor I like" he said taking one candy and putting it in the Elf's mouth.
"It's.sweet" said Elf slowly after her tongue began to taste.
Although it seemed to expand on Hans face to avenge the Elves but his heart was broken seeing the body of a girl he loved so thin and helpless, it made him blame himself and cursed him endlessly.
"Rest" Hans said.
"Where are you going?" tanya Elf held onto Hans' hand a little stronger with the rest of the energy present.
"No, I'm not going anywhere" Hans replied firmly.
Lovingly he stroked the silky silvery hair gently, sending out the tendrils of comfort that slowly made the Elven's eyes feel heavy. Within a few minutes the Elf fell asleep, beside him Hans stood guard until drowsiness struck and made him rest.
The next day the Elves felt his body more powerful, Hans who woke up first had prepared breakfast so that the Elves could fill his empty stomach.
"It feels good" Elf said after swallowing a spoonful of soup.
"I'm sorry" Hans said suddenly.
"For what?" asked the confused Elf.
"I've made you suffer" he replied guiltily, but the Elf clasped his hand gently with a smile and said.
"It's not your fault, it's my own wish. Me and this place are a unity that cannot be separated, like a beautiful curse if I leave the forest then my body will weaken and not have any strength. And again my silver hair is too conspicuous with these pointed ears, if I come out maybe I'll be considered a monster"
"Monster doesn't have a pretty face, maybe you'll be made a goddess because of this" Hans joked that made Elf laugh.
"I think with the hermitage the Father will give me the strength to get out of the forest safely, I wish more with the power of the Father who can bewitch me into a normal human being" he admitted.
That confession certainly made Hans' heart even more sliced, he gently held the Elf's hand.
The elf nodded without saying a word of promise, but Hans did not force it. After the Elf's strength began to recover, Hans interrupted the precarious situation that was going on out there.
Starting from his failure to revive the Lord to Keenan who came with him to meet the Goddess, strangely Keenan did not also come after despite having been waiting for a long time.
Given the Elf's explanation of the hole in the tree that became the entrance between the two worlds, Hans speculated that Keenan had fallen in a different place, this is because they are different creatures.
Hans is a witch while Keenan is a vampire, while the hole is a dimensional passageway through which a person with a certain power passes and ends up in a place that matches his power.
"That's right, I suspect he ended up in a darker area with less lighting even during the day" Elf said.
"Then what should we do?" ask Hans.
"We have to pick her up, isn't the potion on her? anyway I'm afraid his alien presence will cause chaos in this world"
"I get it, but we'd better do it tomorrow when you're so much better" said Hans, still worried about the Elves.
It was free to argue because even the Elves were self-aware that it would take a little more time to recuperate.
* * *
At this time the snow fell quite intensely until the forest scenery was dominated by white, but what Keenan saw was precisely a rainy season with moist air and muddy soil.
He had spent hours walking alone through the forest, grumbling several times and promising to kill Hans for abandoning him.
But before that happens he must first find a place to rest because soon the dawn will come, let alone take revenge for his own safety he must fight.
Keenan was born and raised in a castle protected from the sun, though he had been through hard times but he never knew how to hunt. Maybe he has grown stronger but since childhood until now he has never drank blood from the human neck directly, he read many books that add to his knowledge but not with practices that add insight.
"Ah finally" he muttered in relief when he found a cave.
Not too deep but enough to take shelter, lucky he also brought supplies such as blood that he put in a bottle so that he could drink at any time.
When the sun had risen his eyes began to close with a tired body, but apparently he could not sleep well until he woke up a few hours later.
He believed it was the exact time of day when the sky should have been brightly colored with white clouds marching across the earth, but the forest looked dark enough for the size of daylight.
He walked out and saw the thick leaves of the tree that caused the barrier to the sun coming in, knowing he would be fine, so the journey continued.
During a full day there was nothing strange that he could find except a completely different season, the rest of the forest was the same as the forest that he had known.
It was only the next day that he found Hans along with a strange silver-haired girl.
"I finally found you, do you want to confirm my death in this strange place?" ask Keenan.
"Thank God you didn't make a mess that bothered us" he said.
"Curtain!" keenan is upset.
"So you are the new King of vampires" said the Elf who had noticed.
"What are you?" keenan asked clearly because he did not feel the human air of the Elves, with the hair and the shape of the pointed ears even Keenan could not describe the Elves correctly.
"I'm an Elf, a ranger and you're in my territory" he replied.
"Then?"
"Hans told me everything, why do you want to meet the Goddess?" tanyakanya.
"The Goddess?" said Keenan who did not know the call for Anna.
"Anna, here he is called the Goddess in accordance with his position"
"Ahh..so it looks, interesting! it seems like he is indeed strong" muttered Keenan.
With his blue eyes Elf watched more closely, find out how the character of Keenan as a vampire who is certainly much younger than the vampanences he had been meeting.
"I.want to duel with him" Keenan replied.
"What do you mean?" ask Hans.
"Isn't he the strongest of the strongest? even he could stop the war his way and kill my sister easily. If in this duel he loses then he must come with me and become my slave"
"What if you lose?" ask Elf.
"I haven't thought about it, well but he can ask me for anything"
"I am the guardian of this forest, the Goddess is in my territory so before you meet her then you must get my permission first" the Elf said.
"Getc!" call Hans worried.
Of course they know the meaning of the Elf's words, although Hans had never fought with Keenan but someone who was appointed as King was certainly not a careless person especially Elves were still in the recovery stage.
"Heh, interesting" said Keenan.
Their eyes glanced at each other sharply, Keenan raised his hands to show his sharp claws but a few seconds later he suddenly felt a pain in his waist.
Slowly looking down and finding that a dagger had been stuck there deep enough, Hans who saw it was just astonishment because it wasn't there at first.
"It was silver, of course you will feel pain" said the Elf.
There was a thin smile on the face of the Elf who wanted to look fine, but his body was too weak with his head that started to feel dizzy in just one second he would collapse.
"Getc!" call Hans who managed to catch his body in time.
"Your neck." he said he saw a scratch there.
"W-how can..you..balance my speed?" keenan asked trying to pull out the dagger.
"Then we're a series, right?" sahut weak Elf.
A reality that made Hans goosebumps, in just one blink of his eye, the two creatures that seemed to be motionless had apparently done a fight. Keenan got a pretty heavy wound with a silver dagger that managed to Elf plug on his waist, while Keenan also managed to cut a wound on the Elf's neck with his claws.
The battle that made Hans realize that he was present between two beings with a power that he could not match.
