21. Heavy training, it starts !

Nio still faces his smartphone watching videos about special forces training belonging to several countries. He watched it so seriously that he forgot to blink.

Seriously here means Nio thinks he'll receive terrible training as he sees it.

But that doesn't mean he will actually receive training like the famous special forces belonging to several countries.

Because the Student Army is one part of the TNI AD with the function of reserve and support forces when it has certain conditions.

Most of the Student Soldiers were filled with young people who were not all of them good physical. In addition, being a special force is also required to have physical, mental and high combat instincts in order to achieve the special and secret tasks that are his responsibility.

Nio can be said to have an ordinary physique, not too containing aka muscular and has a height of 170 cm.

Nio switched from watching videos to reading articles about the exercises undertaken by Indonesian special forces.

Nio muttered as he read the first page of the article containing exercises that the red beret corps or better known as Kopassus, “Maybe I will faint first deh.”

Nio shuddered and smiled in horror as he read the toughest part of the training into this special forces, which is ‘week hell’.

In addition to the exercise called ‘week hell’, Nio read another exercise that is enough to make him stunned, namely ‘dopper’.

In this exercise soldiers were ordered to creep forward in the mud in a few rows. Some of the instructors were standing on top of the tower carrying assault rifles. Then the instructor leaned around the soldier who was crawling.

Soldiers who undergo this exercise must keep their limbs from ‘liar’.

“No, I don't think I would be able to do it if I actually undergo such training,” said Nio who immediately closed his smartphone.

But that does not mean that Nio will undergo such strenuous training because the military also knows the physical and mental limits of this young soldier. But who knows.

“Are you scared?” said Arunika who made Nio surprised.

Of course Nio was surprised because his brother who was originally asleep was now sitting next to him still enveloping himself.

“If the practice is really like that, of course I am afraid,” replied Nio.

Arunika attaches herself to Nio with the intention of calming her sister.

Nio could not resist with what her brother was doing now because in the morning she had to leave and part for 4 months.

On the other hand, although Arunika allows Nio to attend training but he does not feel like ‘ abandoned’ by Nio.

“No need to fear. Student Soldiers were unlikely to undergo such a heavy training. The hardest maybe you have to undergo survival training,” said Arunika.

“Yes, the exercise is at most the same as school time camp,” replied Nio while trying to calm down.

Despite looking calm and ordinary, Nio still felt afraid to undergo training. He strengthened his own heart to be able to follow the training.

On the surface of the underground city was already rising the sun, and this was the day the soldiers from Company 406 were waiting for training to become Special Student Forces.

In the dorm, Nio who had not slept with Arunika looked fine and still looked busy.

Nio chose the clothes and items to carry, Arunika helped Nio pack the items he would bring to training.

“Are you nervous?” ask Arunika.

“Of course, so nervous it feels like I want to vomit,” replied Nio while carrying a few packs of instant noodles that he will bring.

There is no prohibition to bring food when training to become a Special Student Force, at least that is written in the requirements section. That's why Nio is seen carrying 15 packs of fried instant noodles as a stock.

In addition to food, Nio certainly had to bring clothes and uniforms of his soldiers which numbered 2 pieces. Each uniform has a different function.

What Nio was wearing now was the uniform he used to wear while guarding.2 Other pieces were training uniforms and combat uniforms.

The equipment that Nio was carrying was a special sword that he carried on his back and two knives. Some matches he also brought.

Not to forget the other mandatory equipment also Nio brought so as not to mess with it when undergoing training later.

All that he put in a bag that is large enough and colored like his uniform.

“All of?” ask Arunika to make sure her sister doesn't forget one thing.

“Yes, I've checked my bag 3 times and there's nothing left” Nio replied as she carried her bag on her back.

The bag that Nio was carrying did look heavy, considering the contents inside were various objects and equipment. If calculated, the weight of the bag and its contents is more than 10 kg. But thanks to special design soldiers will not feel heavy and feel carrying a load of 6 kg only.

Nio wears his combat helmet which has special military 'google' glasses and exits the dormitory with Arunika who will take Nio's departure.

Arunika walked behind Nio with a happy and sad face. Arunika is happy because she has a sister who can take care of her, she is also sad because she will not be with Nio for 4 months.

It is not a time that feels long, but what Arunika feels is another thing.

At the gathering place of the soldiers who were about to leave, there were already 2 trucks to transport the soldiers to the training ground.

Nio took out a rifle from the storage before heading towards the gathering place.

Jo and some of the members of Squad 2 who were not training approached Nio.

“Hopefully successful, Commander,” Jo said while saluting subordinates to superiors who are done by other members of the Squad.

“Thank you,” answered Nio while replying to the members.

Nio and his Team members took the time to talk about everything they wanted to talk about. Rio who was also participating in the training was in the middle of Nio and his squad members.

Some of the soldiers who will undergo training do’ritual’ each to eliminate nervousness and fear.

Some eliminate nervousness by playing the sword, some read books and various other activities.

“All the soldiers who will take the training, get on the truck immediately!” command their commander, Herlina.

Hearing the order, Nio immediately approached her brother and kissed his hand.

“I left first brother,” said Nio who made his brother touched.

“Yes, good luck,” replied Arunika while wiping tears that almost flowed.

Nio while carrying his rifle and ran towards the truck he was about to ride in.

After the seat in the truck tub was almost full, Nio immediately occupied the last place and after that a soldier closed the truck tub.

Nio is the highest-ranking soldier in this truck, along with a Squad 1 Commander named Sima. He smiled towards Nio when he found out she was also a bad one with him. Nio returned the smile of a man of his age.

“To Squad Commander 2, please have your words before leaving,” Sima said which made Nio quite confused.

Nio rolled his eyes and tried to think of suitable words, “To all the soldiers, we will leave for the training ground in Jumapolo Subdistrict. Hopefully with our participation in this training will bring good things to this country!”

“Ya..!” answer all the soldiers in this truck.

After that the two transport trucks drove and passed through the entrance gate of the underground city and headed to Jumapolo Subdistrict. Because the underground city is in the center of Karanganyar City, the Karanganyar District trip will take half an hour if using a vehicle such as this transport truck.

Everyone in the truck, of course, showed their nervousness with a tense face after the truck drove down the city streets.

Because the possible training will be heavy soon ‘welcome’.

Trucks have started to cross the border between Jumantono District with Jumapolo District, nervousness of all soldiers increased.

The atmosphere when entering Jumapolo Subdistrict was no different from around the underground city. There are many damaged buildings and mountains of debris.

The whole soldier stopped seeing ‘view’ when someone stopped the truck by shouting, “All the soldiers immediately went down!”

Nio and the rest of the soldiers walked in a crouching manner while carrying rifles over their heads.

The squat road was not a problem for soldiers, but rifles that had a hefty weight added to their challenge.

However, the 4-year-old did not hit the female soldiers who were going to train, only hitting the male soldiers.

All the soldiers of the Special Student Forces candidates continued to walk squatting despite the sight of some residents who saw them.

Of course the purpose of the residents watching from the roadside was to encourage this young warrior.

Nio who saw that smiled then sped up the pace of his squat road.

100 Meters before arriving at the front gate of the training site, 2 more soldiers were seen standing.

They don't carry twigs or anything, just bare hands.

As the soldier who was walking squatting started to approach the two of them one of the soldiers said, “Where yel-yel yer you guys!?”

After that all the soldiers sang the yel-yel that they remembered at the same time even though it was not planned.

They sang yel-yel with passion until in front of the gate of the training ground.

The training ground is a government owned land that is allowed to be used as a training location for Special Training Forces candidates.

There are many semi-permanent buildings. The purpose of using building materials that can be dismantled and installed again is to require less costs than permanent building materials.

Because the war against other world troops makes the economy of countries around the world decreased. It makes all countries that fight against other world forces rack their brains to strengthen the country with makeshift resources.

Return to the soldier who was still walking squatting after passing through the gate of the training ground.

They were greeted by 10 soldiers who each carried a bucket of water.

As the entire army passed through the gate, they splashed water all over the soldier's head.

Nio whose entire face was moistened with sweat could only resigned as he was soaked in water.

“Please stand!” said a soldier who has the highest rank in this place.

Just call him with Major Sugeng, the person in charge of the training of PPK candidates in Karanganyar City.

The whole soldier stood up then Sugeng said, “Welcome to the PPK training, we will make sure after you all cross the gate you all will not be able to come out again. Except when doing survival training in the wild.”

After that word all the soldiers who will train PPK candidates here smile ‘jal’ which makes all soldiers creep and feel more afraid.

“Please rest where provided. Don't forget about 4pm right then you should gather in the hall, got it!?” Sugeng.

“Siap, understand..!” answer all the soldiers and then they all head towards the barracks that will be the second dormitory besides in the underground city.
