“Decide Nio. You no longer have to lie with him. We are still your family.”
The words coming out of Supardi were filled with pressure, his face showing that his words had to be obeyed by Arunika.
Since the war began until it ended, there have been cases of thousands of divorces experienced by enlisted soldiers to officers. Most divorces are wanted by wives, for fear that their warring husbands will die, or will not return.
Before the war, many women who crave a life companion a soldier or ‘ab in the country’. Stare, even after the war ended, only a small percentage of the entire army was able to establish a relationship. Then, of all the soldiers who are in a relationship, most fail to survive to the level of marriage, aka stop in the middle of the road.
The women feared that war would return, claiming the lives of the soldiers. Being a widow at an early age, or a broken heart that takes a long time to heal, makes young women and women choose to find a partner outside the armed forces.
Fifteen years ago, Nio's father married Arunika's mother without knowing that they came from the ‘noble’ family. On the other hand, the Supardi family knew that Nio's father's past was a high-ranking TNI officer, who had recently resigned from the position of commander. In fact, Supardi himself is a retired TNI who holds the rank of First Lieutenant Assistant.
All things related to bad luck will happen to a woman if dealing with soldiers is considered a myth, but it has spread widely and is believed to be a very large possibility.
Supardi's opinion was taken from the deaths of his two wives. Which then he feared would happen to Arunika if he remained in a relationship with Nio.
“Without the intention of severing our family relationship with Nio, I want you to do that. What happens if the misfortune that befell your mother happens to you. Nio was just a First Lieutenant, and by the time the war started you were almost dead. What happens if Nio has become a high ranking officer?”
Although Arunika still remembered the events at the beginning of the war, but it was the enemy's fault, because Nio's position was the same victim as himself. Even at the beginning of the war, Nio was not yet a soldier, and was still a civilian.
The housekeeper who heard just stared at the two of them sitting in the living room clandestinely, then continued their respective work with the robot maid. On the other hand, they also regretted Supardi's unilateral attitude, without thinking about what Arunika felt.
Arunika never imagined that the happiness he got would get such a hindrance. He also understands ‘pain’ if Nio hears his grandfather's words, because the man has gone through a long, mentally draining pain called war.
Due to the war that had yet to find a way out to end it, he and Nio were forced to rarely spend time together. Although Arunika did not feel anxious not being constantly near Nio because they were already dating, there were some things she needed to feel obligated to worry about.
“Do you not want to let Nio get to know our family? I'm sure, she must have not seen your faces, Uncle, and Aunt, even the maids here. Nio still considers me the only family he has,” Arunika said, trying to make Supardi withdraw his words.
“For what? So that he can continue the ‘kalangan’ that his father has, then make us stricken too? If you insist on not understanding what I say, your mother died because of Nio's father, as well as his first wife. Nio inherits ‘curse’ his father.”
“But it could have been just a coincidence, right? No one knows the fate of one's death,” Arunika retorted.
The grandfather he loved in the world spat out such words, and made Arunika feel a tightness in her heart. And worst of all, Arunika feels that her grandfather thinks Nio has a curse that he does not understand at all.
The words of a man who sought to destroy Arunika's dream: to support her knights, hoping one day to stand beside her and serve her after the war ended, turned out to be her own family.
Arunika then said, “You are also a soldier, right? Then, why don't you consider yourself to also have misfortunes like the other soldiers, like Nio who you said inherited the curse from his father?”
Supardi directly denied Arunika's remark, “What did you say?! You consider me the same as him, who took my son to death with him?!”
“Then what compliments for Nio and his father that you threw when we ate together?” Arunika muttered inwardly with a sad face and an irritated feeling mixed with uneasiness.
“Despite having a hero like Nio as a life partner and family, won't bring you happiness. A girl like you should have a guy who's always been there for you, and thinks you exist. Do you know what Nio did in the Other World? He might be with the women there, forgetting about you. Not struggling as she said in the letter.”
Arunika did not understand how this could happen. Not only was he angry and sad, he was also afraid to go against the words of his grandfather, who had somehow said those words.
Arunika replied with tears dripping like jewels, “That's, did you see what Nio was doing there? She is not a person who is very easily consumed by the temptations of other women.”
“I've found a man who deserves you. Better decide on Nio, who doesn't care about you.”
When his protest was not heard by Supardi, the old man's words tore through Arunika's heart. The unexpected words from the man, whom Arunika considered to be the grandfather he loved the most in the world, made his body stiff, and his eyes showed a look of disbelief.

Two weeks later, after a celebration of the rebel defeat.
A tactical vehicle traversed the vast grass plains, under the bright afternoon sun.
In the vehicle, a young officer smokes his nearly exhausted cigarette, then inserts his filter into a portable ashtray. The song plays in maximum volume, Nio is trying to make himself relaxed in this long journey. The distance between Tohora City and Girinhi Fortress is about 100 kilometers.
“Oh, why are they here?”
A small helicopter piloted by a TNI soldier hovers over a tactical vehicle. Nio with a confused look looked up, then shouted at the radio communication:
“Center sends orders for you. No need to sign the package, but bring us a little souvenir! Bye!”
The sound from the radio speakers comes from the helicopter pilot. Shortly after he dropped the plastic box containing the package for Nio, the helicopter pilot flew towards the Sacred Land.
Despite hesitating if the package for him contained useful items, Nio changed the direction of the tactical vehicle's speed to where the box landed.

“Sanction withheld salary as much as 60 percent, pay a fine equivalent to one month salary ..” Nio said in his heart.

Nio receives a document written by Lee Baek-Ho, the commander of the entire rover team. He lowered his shoulders, sighing as he read a piece of paper inside the tactical vehicle he was driving in ‘smart’ mode, without needing to hold the steering wheel. He was on his way to Girinhi Fortress, where all his subordinates were.
Even though he was ready to accept any form of punishment, actually receiving a military call for helping an ally without permission was obviously quite depressing. Fortunately, Nio sees no signs that he will be tried for his efforts to help Arevelk deal with the rebels.
“And also, I am not allowed to take time off until the time of assignment in the Other World is over. General bastard!”
Fortunately, there were no other TNI soldiers in the arid ground that Nio's tactical vehicle passed through, so the man's curse was not heard by anyone. If not, it is certain that he will get disciplinary sanctions that approach dismissal.
The punishment above was still quite light, considering that Nio left his subordinates, and headed for another battlefield despite having obtained an emergency permit. The punishment that Nio should get is that he was dismissed as the commander of Team 12, a suspension of one week or a little longer, until the punishment of the military court.
Finished reading one of the sheets of the document, Nio picked up another one that had no idea what it contained.
On the paper it reads [Lieutenant One ‘Soldier’ Nio Candranala, for your efforts in helping allies from wars that are dangerous and potentially cause wars longer and bigger, for your efforts in helping allies from wars that are dangerous and potentially cause wars, Minister of Defense has given you a special award, ‘Allied Heroes’. Then, praise, thanksgiving, and appreciation from the Kingdom of Arevelk and Yekirnovo; you have been declared the high nobility of both countries. The rank of ‘General Tamu’ that the Kingdom of Arevelk gives you is retained. Furthermore, since human trafficking in Indonesia is strictly prohibited, you get the right to care for a number of girls]
There were still ten sheets of paper containing thanks, praise, and appreciation from a number of tribes, regions in the territory of the two countries that gave Nio high noble titles and such.
Then, there were some letters containing documents that Nio had the right to own and care for some girls. That was because the slave trade in this world was a natural thing, so Nio needed proof of legitimate ownership.

In one of the rooms in the No-2 barracks that was occupied by Peace Forces officers, one of them was Nio.
“What did that person do?!”
“This precious stuff, did he buy it in the online store?!”
“That, it's all luxury and expensive stuff right?! How did he get it?!”
Nio's room was filled with piles of award certificates, honorary medals, some baby-sized raw diamonds and precious metals that didn't exist in the origin world, a stack of treasuries, a stack of securities, and a few precious stones, and all the other stuff that's too much to write.
There were still dozens of open carts lining up to drop off some luxury items, and of course for one of the TNI soldiers. Therefore, these items must be placed in front of the entrance of Nio's room, due to the small room inhabited by the man.
Some soldiers carried fire-throwing weapons, ready to destroy the gifts blocking the way. Unfortunately, a number of the best witches of Arevelk and Yekirnovo were alerted to escort luxury items that were too luxurious for an ordinary officer.

Then, Nio continued reading the last letter sheet, [. .. And that was all the gifts you received. If we only give you punishment, we will look to treat good soldiers badly.]
“I'd rather be treated badly, than treated well but many people don't like what I do, even though the end result is clear in plain sight and they enjoy” Nio lamented.
Nio could imagine, if he received those gifts at the headquarters, then General Angga was patting him on the shoulder, and saying all those things with a light face. Then, he would look at the staffs who were looking at him with jealous eyes, and curse at Nio inwardly.
Nio looked at the scene outside without needing to control his tactical vehicle, then sighed a bit long.
The view towards Girinhi Fort is quite good, and consists of barren land and plantations. That was because the area around the City of Tohora was one of the main agricultural areas of the Kingdom of Arevelk, and supplied various commodities throughout the country.
As the war progressed, some agricultural products were given to the military, without forgetting the property rights of civilians.
There were some farmers waving their hands towards the steel wagon that Nio was riding on. They seem to have gotten used to the weird stuff from ‘worldother’, because of the red and white flag attached to the vehicle. Nio returned a wave of their hands and a warm smile.
“Master green warrior..!”
Some children and adults blocked the speed of the steel cart, and Nio had to step on the brake pedal very strongly. Tactical vehicles cause a very severe impact than open horse-drawn carts if they hit someone or something. The reason is clear.
(olog: author males nulis alesannya)
Nio got down from the driver's door, and scratched the back of his head for not knowing their intent of standing in the middle of the road as the tactical vehicle drove at medium speed.
“Sorry, why are you standing in the middle of the road quietly? If it gets hit by that steel wagon, you don't just break bones, you know,” Nio said.
Then, a girl replied, “If not, you probably won't stop.”
“We want to give you a little harvest, you will definitely return to Girinhi Fortress, right? Hopefully all that is enough for your friends,” an adult man pointed a big cart full of local vegetables and fruits.
Nio was happy with all the farmers' gifts, but Nio also hesitated if they had leftover crops to sell or consume on their own. The agricultural land in this region is indeed very large, but less fertile, although the harvest can always meet the needs of the Kingdom. Unfortunately, some of the adults and children smiled, and hoped that Nio would accept their gift.
On the other hand, Nio was also at a loss to carry the entire item.
“Yeah, earlier thanks for your gift. But – “
Every day, the residents were accustomed to the Guild's air force consisting of dragons, Wyverns, and iron birds ‘otherworld’ patrolling the skies. But this time it felt different.
Before Nio finished his words, he saw the imperfect Gate open to the left of the tactical vehicle, and took out several girls and the Silent Assassins.
Moments later, from above came the sound of screeching and fluttering of large Wyvern wings that flew towards Girinhi Fortress at maximum speed. However, there was an oddity in the spear carried by the Wyvern handlers, precisely the flag tied to the handle of the spear stick.
“They carry a flag similar to that of the rebels!”
Nio's shout only made the farmers confused, then shocked after a number of people swarmed over them.
“There's fighting! There's battle! They're not the Federal air force!”
“They're part of the remaining rebels!”
The ones shouting were two cat-eared Demihumans and a rabbit who ran while shouting. Nio looked familiar to them.
“Master, they are part of the rebels, and are planning to attack Fort Girinhi,”, Hevaz said.
One peaceful week after dealing with the rebels, it turned out to make Nio groan again because he was faced again with the enemy.
As soon as they heard the warning, everyone in the field ran at high speed, saving themselves. They passed through the uneven dirt road like crazy, until some farmers tripped and fell.
Nio helps a girl who fell in front of him, then tells her to run to the safest place.
Twenty Wyverns were enough force to destroy the troops defending a fortress.
“Do they bring ground troops?” asked Nio, hoping to get some information.
“No, just a Wyvern team. They were enough to destroy the troops in the fortress,” somehow Sigiz replied with a restless face, while he knew that a number of ‘otherworld’ soldiers were stationed in Girushi Fortress.
As the two of them spoke, the sound of smashing in the air rang out, and debris descended from the sky like rain. However, it was no ordinary debris.
When a flaccid object fell on his head, Nio immediately threw it so knowing if it was still warm meat. One rebel Wyvern rider has been dropped, remaining nineteen Wyvern riders.
“My master has just rested for a few days. Don't make him waste his energy in vain by fighting against you!”
Hevaz shouted, his black hairy wings flapping beautifully. The girl's scythe dripped with blood, and the entire Wyvern rider stopped their mount. Because he was the Envoy of the Goddess of Death and the God of War, Hevaz was able to fight with strength surpassing ordinary humans and provide a quick death to his opponent.
“That's the Soul Eater!”
“Let's see if he's capable of fighting us!”
The screams of the rebel soldiers sounded like gunfire to Hevaz, his eyes burning red with a horrifying, soul-freezing look.
After the confident yelling of two renegade Wyverns, a projectile penetrates the captain of an enemy soldier. The headless rebel soldier who was killed was freefalling, and his body parts and blood splattered as soon as it hit the ground. The fact that Nio shot down the enemy soldiers who were flying at a height of fifty meters was a miracle, which seemed to be proof that Nio's shooting ability increased, on the other hand he obtained the Blessed God.
What Nio used to shoot was not an assault rifle, but a heavy machine gun that fired a 12.7mm caliber projectile with a small explosive that would have splinters spread across the enemy's body once it exploded. He operated the machine gun manually.
Suddenly, Nio felt the surrounding air was cold, even though he was currently in the lowland region. He saw Zariv and Sigiz chanting the mantra together, then the ice crystals and the earth that came together to form a kind of javelin. Sigiz uses a special magic that makes him able to make weapons from condensed water, aka ice. Zariv uses magic that he has not studied for a long time, and allows him to create weapons from the ground.
“The first thing combat magicians learn is defense magic. Therefore, they learned magic capable of producing extremely high attack impacts and powerful defenses. Sigiz is the greatest in battle magic, then Zariv is no less powerful.”
The Wyvern charmer ordered his mounts to spout fire, to melt the ice javelin. Meanwhile, the other handlers controlling their Wyvern dodged the ground javelin that shot towards them in an unreasonable speed.
“No time!”
“What battle magic is it?!”
A few javelins of ice and soil missed. Five Wyvern chariots were free-falling to the ground after several javelins of ice and earth pierced through their bodies, leaving Wyvern without a confused-looking master. As if inheriting the determination of their master's struggle, the five Wyverns who lost their handlers flew down towards Sigiz and Zariv were.
Explosions were heard several times, and a number of projectiles were fired from machine guns. Small explosive projectiles damaged Wyvern's scales, but did not seriously injure them. Nio, the heavy machine gun operator, is upset, and continues firing at the five Wyverns who are getting closer to Sigiz and Zariv. His brows furrowed, and hesitated if the machine gun was able to kill the fantasy flying lizard.
When doubt entered Nio's feelings, a Wyvern without a handler flew towards him. “Woy, woy, woy! Why are you here?!” Nio looked tense, and shot the Wyvern agitatedly.
A number of projectiles hit the scales protecting Wyvern's head, but the resulting small explosion had no effect whatsoever on the scales of the flying lizard. Eventually, a projectile rips through the membrane protecting Wyvern's right eye, and the explosion destroys the animal's eye. The flakes of the projectile may have spread inside Wyvern's head, and hit vital areas.
Wyvern, who had declared Nio his enemy flying uncontrollably, landed roughly and stopped near Nio's tactical vehicle.
“Maybe projectile debris damaged his brain, and made this flying lizard paralyzed. Or is it dead?” said Nio.
As Nio observed the large Wyvern nearby, a lacing sound mixed with Wyvern screeches sounded. Sharp dense air blades continuously shot through the air, released by the combat magicians Zariv and Sigiz. Their spears and daggers that serve as ‘the magic wand’ glow and unleash an attack to fight the four Wyverns without a handler, and knock out some Wyvern scales.
“Why enemies like this continue to exist. What's wrong with my leadership?!”
“What attack do we not tear their hard scales?! Your Majesty, if you say that, you will only look to do nothing to the Kingdom!”
After that, Sigiz and Zariv increased the number of wind blades which added to their firepower. In addition to the sharp blade of air like a blade, a number of light bullets were released. Light bullets burned Wyvern's scales, and made a wound that became an open path for sharp air blades to rip apart the flesh of the flying lizards.
And then, as if not to be outdone, Nio fired a number of projectiles towards several Wyverns. He knew, using a 12.7mm heavy machine gun was not able to easily pierce Wyvern's scales though, but trying while betting was nothing wrong according to him.
“What is this that they call otherworldly weapons?! Damn it..”
Before a rebel soldier finished saying his words, the projectile that Nio fired managed to hole his head and make him plunge free down.
The fight was fought only by Nio, Hevaz, Sigiz, and Zariv. The rest could only fight on land, and were currently just watching.
In this situation, Nio felt it was time to try to stop and end this fight. Currently, there were ten Wyverns and their handlers still flying. The fact that the rebels have fought until now is evidence of the clash of forces against will and force against will.
“Sigiz, what should we do now? I think their determination will push this fight to a dangerous stage.” Nio said like that after the bullets on his machine gun were almost used up.
“Mr Nio, you are right, but it would be better to wait a little more, until the victory for us is seen. Otherwise, the wishes of the rebels will be realized, and the Guild is in danger.”
Sigiz's words had a point, but Nio thought if it was the right move.
However, just as Nio was about to aim at a Wyvern charmer, a nearby Wyvern suddenly rose up.
Nio turned his head to the side, and saw the supposedly dead Wyvern opening his mouth, ready to spew fire at him.
“Job!”
Nio immediately jumped down to avoid the burst of flames. But now, a burst of flames from Wyvern hit Nio's face.
The tactical vehicle Nio was driving was turned into a campfire, with Nio himself rolling around on the ground while shouting loudly by holding his right face. A portion of Nio's field uniform caught fire, resulting in injuries to his skin other than the direct spray from Wyvern.
The rebel soldiers shouted after seeing an enemy soldier roasted below, and ensured victory.
Nio –, partly grilled, stood staggered, revealing his face bleeding from severe burns, before finally collapsing to the ground again.
