One day after the battle on the hill near the town of Tohora and a few hours after the return of the 1st Infantry Battalion of the Peace Forces, the headquarters of the Rebel Killing forces.

Because it is in the highlands, the air in Tohora City tends to be cool and rather cold. The city is located at one of the foothills of the mountain range which has the highest point estimated to reach 11 kilometers above sea level. That was why Nio considered this city to have a dangerous natural fortress, because the terrain to reach this place was not easy. In fact, the Infantry Battalion yesterday had to be moved by the imperfect Gate to avoid delays and fatalities on the part of Arevelk and Yekirnovo.

Being at an altitude of 4,000 meters above sea level, causing Nio's mouth to let out smoke as he yawned while walking to the meeting place. Dozens of torches and hundreds of candles can serve as the necessary warmers for people living in tropical climates and unfamiliar with cold air, such as Nio.

There is something that makes Nio – the only Peacekeeping Army soldier to be of assistance and instead of an army as big as one company or even a battalion – feels strange. The commanders of the Arevelk forces and the assistance of the Yekirnovo in the room expressed solemnly when welcoming the Visiting General. As the commander of Arevelk's forces in the city, Soh feels compelled to speak with Nio often to get along quickly, like his superiors who seem very close to Nio, Luhe (Lux).

The girl stood up from her chair, then walked towards Nio who was still having a conversation with Soh at the door. Some commanders already know it is not safe if a man is near ‘Si Sword Crazy’, like the events five years ago when Lux was a student at the military academy. Commanders who are subordinate to Lux can only hope that Nio is not injured if he cooperates in a fight with Lux.

On the other hand, Lux remains an indispensable commander of Arevelk, although some of the subordinate commanders somewhat dislike him. The reason some commanders do not like Lux is clear, because the girl very often accompanied the queen after the birth of the Guild even to set foot to ‘otherworld’. Moreover, his cold face when speaking to them was not shown as he spoke to that Guest General.

However, some other commanders also regretted the assistance they received only one soldier, which certainly would not change the course of the war drastically.

“It looks like you added another scar huh, Nio?” lux said as he pointed at the scar on his forehead that extended to his eyebrows.

Speaking of scars, Nio felt something when he accidentally saw a terrible scar on Luhe's back (Lux). Although he managed to hide the fact that he also had a scar on his back, to be honest Nio thought that the scar was not comparable to Luhe's as a deliberate wound.

The previously confident Nio could help a lot for the troops on duty would deal with the rebels, but suddenly that confidence turned into a great unease and nervousness. Some commanders might say such things in their hearts, and feel that something will happen after Lux smiles.

“We want you to say your plans here too. Previously, did you have any experience fighting in the open field like us?” ask Donem.

Nio realizes that there are some commanders who doubt that he is one of the soldiers who succeeded from the battlefield of death more than one year ago. He answered the question with such an answer in the hope of making the commander who gave the question to him able to keep quiet. And it worked, as well as being able to make the commander duck with cold sweat appear on his forehead.

“So, more or less as I feel.. You at least understand how to fight in the open field in theory, right?” Donem asked again.

“Yes, Mr. Donem. I learned combat strategies as you use, there are many books that contain conventional battle strategies to face nuclear war.”

“What is nuclear war?”

The one inquiring was not Donem, but Lux and the girl looked very curious about the ‘ nuclear war’ that Nio said.

On the other hand, Nio felt that World War 3 could happen, but he hoped not in the near future. The existence of this world, as well as Indonesia and its allies related to this world country, could have triggered a major war that threatens most of life on earth. However, it was only Nio's mind, and the man assumed World War 3 would not happen as long as he lived. It was a great hope and impossible.

“You mean, the military in the countries of your world is able to wage a war that is far deadlier than the Alliance's first attack on Indonesian forces?”

“I am afraid that my answer will make the gentlemen distrust Indonesia, Russia and North Korea again. So. sorry. One more thing, nuclear war will not happen if powerful countries in the military field in my home world do not start it.”

Lux is convinced that the ‘ nuclear war’ that Nio said made the mood of the commanders unpleasant, although he is sure some of them were already unhappy before because of Nio's arrival here.

“I'm sure they consider Nio's arrival here just to interfere. Damn it, they really don't know Lariq Sadur's ability.”

Although he said that inwardly, Lux's irritated expression was too obvious. Nio who was sitting next to her felt that the girl's mood was unhappy, although she knew that the flat expression that seemed fierce was the hallmark of Lux.

“I hope that all the tactics you gave us could take out those traitors.”

“Before, why can you say if the rebels are traitors?”

“They are clearly cooperating with the Alliance to attack Tohora City. Damn, they even changed our green flag ‘Peace’ with black.”

“Let me guess, the black color for you guys symbolizes sorrow, right?”

Some of the commanders only replied with nods and a listless face while looking down. Nio only answered with a careless guess, but it turned out that the answer was precisely right. He simply likened the meaning of black in the country to the black clothes worn by mourners attending funerals.

“I'll be ready with what you guys asked me for, including help in battle.”

“But, Nio, most of us are reluctant to face the rebels,” said Donem who made Nio somewhat jerked.

As long as Lux was a soldier, she had never felt this angry with her fellow top commanders. Donem and he are both top commanders, though, so he did not expect that the man would say the thing that declared himself as if he was a coward who did not dare to face his own comrades who had soiled this country.

Although it was true that if fellow Arevelk soldiers were to fight then both sides, or one of them, would feel something. Moral collapse due to dealing with your own friends is the greatest possibility if it repeats itself. Lux raised her head with an annoyed expression, then kicked the table until the drink that Nio gulped gulped down.

He stared with the pale face of the girl sitting beside him, as well as the entire top and bottom commander who looked extremely shocked.

“First of all, Nio, are you willing to help me crush the rebels? I know I haven't said this to General Angga, but it's a very urgent matter and risks the future of Arevelk and the Guild. If the rebels manage to gather strength and fight alongside the Alliance against us, of course we will lose in no time. I promise I'll pay you if you want to help me.”

The white color on the red and white flag bet on the right arm of her daily uniform symbolizes purity. That means he does not want to be a hypocrite and it is impossible for him to withdraw his self-declared belief that Arevelk will crush the rebels even if only he is a soldier of the Peace Forces who helps.

He also believes that the headquarters will punish him for abandoning duty even if he leaves his subordinates to help the threatened Indonesian ally. Nio had even imagined himself sitting on the court seat, and the military court judge who was reading his mistake in the form of negligent on the main task and left his subordinates just like that even though the reason was obvious.

Nio shivered, because all he wore was ordinary daily clothes that were not equipped with portable body heaters, also he shivered if his salary would be cut or not paid for several months until his sentence was over. Of course, he really needs the salary, because for the sake of saving for his future and living happily with the woman he loves.

However, he was already sitting in a chair with the commanders of the military forces of the Kingdom of Arevelk and assistance from Yekirnovo. So it was very difficult for him to step back from the decision he had made steadily. Especially since he didn't know the way home.

“Of course I will help you deal with all the possibilities. Then, what about the gentlemen?”

Of course Nio hoped that the commanders in this room would say the same thing. As a soldier from another country ‘world’ who first established relations with Arevelk Kingdom, of course Nio hopes that the army of this country will also do the same with him.

“O-oy, this is impossible right?” Nio muttered inwardly with a surprised face that Lux clearly saw.

“Why are you silent?” lux asked as Nio also looked surprised.

Nio felt himself too eager to help the Kingdom of Arevelk deal with the unsettling rebel movement, so he hoped too high and finally got disappointed because the results obtained did not match his shadow.

The entire top and bottom commander of the man lowered his head with a restless face, and no one answered his question. They may not be able to put their subordinate soldiers at the bad risk of fighting alongside the rebels, so choose silence as ‘no’ answers to Nio's questions.

“This is too risky, Nio. You don't know what we were up against when that fucking rebel suddenly came forward attacking us! You better not be so confident that you can defeat them easily even if Miss Lux is on your side!” one of Donem's subordinate commanders spoke like that, and of course made Donem himself tremble at the sight of his own subordinates.

Nio felt that his move to help Arevelk was really bad, and did not match his previous expectations.

“Ja-so, my arrival was not expected?” said Nio with a trembling tone and a firm face.

“No!”

Nio was very surprised by that answer, and the girl beside him spoke like that in an overwhelming angry tone.

“You're here to help me fight a shitty rebel. You don't need to involve these brave, cowardly commanders in our fight. I'm so happy to be able to fight by your side, Nio,” Lux's remark somewhat made Nio misunderstand at the end of his sentence. But he soon assumes that Lux's words are just an expression of how he and the girl can work together well.
