The relief force numbered twenty thousand soldiers, including several military magicians led by one of the two generals Arevelk, Salul and Lux , then there is also Zariv who is ordered to be an additional force as well as the commander of the military magicians. The absence of Sigiz in the troop group, the two girls are both planning something after arriving at Girinhi Fortress. They were expected to arrive there about two days away.
Salul, a man in his 40s who is addicted to the taste of petai, even though he previously hated the pods enough. Although he was supposed to be with Zvail in the Arevelk contingent's office in the turtle fortress, yet his face was still filled with the determination of youth. He did not want to lose to Lux, Zariv, and the best young Arevelk who willingly volunteered to become Arevelk soldiers after the Alliance declared war with Arevelk and his allies.
As their queen, Sigiz, and the general of the Peace Forces said. The small number of relief troops there probably won't help much, so that additional troops from Arevelk itself was sent as additional strength after the news if the enemy showed movement and continued to approach the border line protected by troops in Girinhi Fortress.
“Is it okay to send 18,000 soldiers and 2,000 military witches from the capital to Girinhi Fortress?” Salul only asked this after they almost approached Girinhi Fortress.
“The capital has been defended by hundreds of thousands of soldiers and witches. There is no need to fear for treason for a while, we will continue to advance to Girinhi Fortress. If the traitors attack us, the joint forces in Girinhi Fortress will definitely move to help us.”
The commanders near Lux broke out in cold sweat despite the cool air even in the middle of the day.
Rumors of a civil war planned by one of Zvail's generals and right-hand men are the nightmare of Arevelk and his army. If the rebels were able to gather strength in a short time, then the nightmare would be a despicable history for the entire history of the establishment of the Kingdom of Arevelk for thousands of years. Lux's remark that alluded to rumors of rebellion made the soldiers alarm, and thought it would really happen if the time came.
“What double agents inform you can be trusted, General Lux?” Salul asked in a restless tone.
“You mean Tam?”
“Isn't he a former one of the captured Alliance commanders?”
“True. But, I don't know what the contingent of ‘otherworld’ did to the double agents employed from captured captives. They are completely obedient and loyal, they will not give the Guild false information.”
Indeed the main factor of the three-nation contingent originating from ‘otherworld’ was their combat power, the brutal weapons used when fighting were able to produce untold numbers of casualties. Disciplined soldiers and many elite troops personnel sent to this world became an additional force of three countries ‘other world’. So Salul assumed all these things were what made the dual agents not intend to harm the Guild even though they were also working for the Alliance.
Initially, troops led by Salul were stationed at a post three days' drive from Girinhi Fortress, which served as a second-tier defense if the enemy did not just attack the fort. Sigiz's order to move them to Girinhi Fortress was abrupt, but the soldiers were prepared for the worst possible outcome of the sudden order.
“What is it? No, why are they here?”
A few kilometers ahead, Zariv saw thousands of spears standing with several long spears mounted with flags. The witches sense of sight was better than ordinary humans, moreover high-ranking military mages like Zariv. However, the flag attached to dozens of spears is not green as a background and the golden sun emblem that forms the flag of the Kingdom of Arevelk, be it the royal or military flag.
The flag seen by Zariv is black, but there is still a golden sun symbol. Black symbolizes courage, but the color is not used on the war flag of the Arevelk army. So that makes Zariv's feelings unpleasant and resulted in a bad feeling.
“What do you see, Zariv?” Lux tries to ask Zariv what makes the witch girl seem uneasy.
“Have we ever worn a war flag against a black background, and not as green as we carry it now?”
Lux's hard-to-read expression meant that Salul had to confirm with his own eyes what Zariv had said.
Lux did not look suspicious at all or anything like Zariv's statement that saw the flag of the Kingdom of Arevelk that was black rather than green. However, Lux suddenly felt her feelings turn into disturbing something.
Although he was convinced that the additional troops he led alongside Zariv and Salul were quite strong, but upon seeing the troops carrying the black Arevelk Kingdom flag made Lux realize something. However, rumors are still things that are not necessarily the truth and facts.
His troops are now in an open field in the form of grasslands with paths crossed by his army. The cavalry included less than three thousand, making it quite weak from the military standard of the Arevelk itself if at any time they were attacked. The infantry soldiers had not much experience, so when they arrived at Girinhi Fortress they got training from the senior soldiers there. Then, military magicians only mastered basic war magic up to the third level, and only a small percentage were able to use artillery magic as the mainstay magic weapon.
On the other hand, Zariv saw a large number of troops marching and forming a base attacking formation.
“What is an extra team?” salul asked who did not know the truth of the great army marching in front of his army.
“Bags, the Ofra!” Lux says it with a face that really shows hatred for someone whose name he calls with swearing.
“So that team led Ofra?” Salul said with a happy and calm face. He was happy if the troops led by the right-hand military commander of the Kingdom of Arevelk, Zvail, also sent additional troops.
Of course Salul's happy face made Lux look at the man with a dark look and filled with anger. “He is now our enemy, fool!” Lux said so loudly in front of Salul's face, that the man was so shocked that he could not blink.
“Whoooo!!! Whoooooooo!!!”
A deafening sound echoed in the ears of the soldiers led by Lux and Salul in the open field of this meadow. The voice came from the troops marching in front of them.
“Wait, why are they moving towards us?” Salul asked with a plain face that made Lux even more annoyed.
“They are rumored rebels! They'll attack us!” Lux said in an elevated voice.
Having such a vast territory made the Kingdom of Arevelk have a vast open field. It would be even more dangerous if the soldiers he led would fight in the open field without preparation. And if that army is a rebel led by Ofra, then the dreaded civil war begins from now on.
Lux orders his commanders to lead their respective units and form a line to defend, as well as Salul. Zariv moved towards the back of the line to lead his witches, and ordered them to begin stringing up the words of the spell.
They were really a bunch of Arevelk soldiers who were moving forward to attack his troops, those soldiers seemed to be Ofra's army. They advanced to attack the relief forces for the troops in Girinhi Fortress. That was not good, if they were to face those rebels now, then they would be very late to overtake the troops in Girinhi Fortress.
They seemed to be larger than the army he was leading. Lux knew that Ofra was leading an army of 30,000, and was stationed in one of the cities two days' drive from the city where Salul's troops were stationed.
Lux only hoped that the 20,000 soldiers he led with Salul and Zariv would be able to keep up with Ofra's forces.
The cavalry who were in the middle row finally clashed with the enemy cavalry. They could only survive the lunge of hundreds of horses and long spears belonging to their riders. Dozens of Lux cavalrymen instantly died with the stabbing of an enemy's long spear or fell from a horse and were trampled by the foot of a war horse belonging to an enemy or a friend.
Meanwhile, another enemy cavalry unit moved towards the left wing filled with infantry and archers. Unfortunately, hundreds of enemy cavalry soldiers were protected by the rain of arrows created by their archers. Unable to stand by the sight of hundreds of enemy arrows hovering above them, the archer commander of Salul's army ordered his soldiers to avenge the enemy's attack.
The rain of arrows happened on both sides. And when hundreds of arrows landed, it hit the heads or bodies of the horses and soldiers of both sides and made dozens of deaths of human and horse warriors on both sides.
Defeated by the manoeuvre of Ofra's men, neither Lux nor Salul could resist easily, and quickly fell into panic, with the cries of pain and suffering that emerged from the battlefield as they fell into the chaos that the rebels created.
“Their cavalry is too much! How can our infantry fight them?!” Lux screaming.
“This...impossible!” Salul slapped both of her cheeks very hard, trying to force herself to admit if all this was a dream.
This was a battlefield, the war was still going on and not over, and now Salul was in the midst of a war with his troops being attacked by enemies from all directions. And, he as the commander could not lose his consciousness and wits for now – although he could not accept if this was a fact.
Archers of the rebel forces have not stopped raining down on their enemies with hundreds of arrows. Most of the arrows did miss and stuck on the ground covered in green grass, but if some arrows stuck in the bodies of warriors or horses, it was able to wreak havoc and great losses.
Rebels utilize their archery troops to effectively reduce the number of opposing soldiers, as if their leader had trained them just to do so, that includes for cavalry troops.
Ofra's men who launched a surprise attack rained down on the enemy with arrows again doing the same, while the cavalry and infantry swung the spears and swords they held at lightning speed, rampaging with vigor against his own comrades who fell into chaos and fear.
It was like a nightmare.
Unfortunately, what they saw was a nightmare and a despicable one that came true.
“This is impossible!”
“Why are they fighting us?!”
“What happened to our friend? Why are they fighting us?!”
“They're fucking assholes! Rebellion really happened!”
The soldiers who were trying to survive the relentless incursion of the rebels said so in a desperate tone. They saw friends beheaded, pierced by spears, trampled on the foot of enemy soldiers' war horses that they had previously thought of as friends. Some friends are already in a state of complete disrepair after a rebel warrior with a happy face accidentally dismembered every part of a friend's body that has fallen prey to them.
Dozens of friends' heads floated up after being cut off and separated from the bodies by rebel soldiers, then threw them into the ranks of the infantrymen who had prepared themselves for desperate resistance.
Seeing dozens of friends' heads hit their heads and bodies, the infantry soldiers were unable to calm down. The faces of the rebel forces are seen with grinning smiles as they carry out a massacre against their own friends.
To be precise, the rebels and Arevelk were now already enemies, just like the Alliance that was hostile to the Guild.
“Don't let them pass!”
“Make them afraid of us!”
“Destroy their resolve to fight the Alliance!”
Hearing the rebels say such a thing, along with their hateful cries, the soldiers began to show resistance, but most of the enemy soldiers were riding horses.
Salul quickly calmed down, then fought the rebel soldiers without killing him, and tried to accept the situation.
It was easy to express in words: the situation was very chaotic. Each commander tried not to make a single miscalculation that would change the course of the war. However, keeping the soldiers calm was a very difficult matter.
More than anything, the commanders bravely quelled the chaos on the front lines, then expected the witches to protect those trying to reassemble the formation.
However, artillery magic attacks and other military magic only finish off a small portion of enemy soldiers and actually make the rebel soldiers more violent.
Some rebel cavalrymen tried to march into the ranks of dozens of shield fences with raised spears. When they made it through the obstacles even though some of their friends were killed by long spears that pierced through the body or head, they swung swords and spears quickly and forcefully through the chest and split the heads of some magicians.
“Damn it, goddamn it, you fucking!”
Zariv performs his flagship magic with a feeling of anger towards the rebels who killed his own friend viciously.
Dozens of warrior swords and spears floated with magic circles on the hilt, then one by one the weapons floated and shot at breakneck speed into the ranks of the enemy cavalry trying to kill more witches.
The high speed of the incision of dozens of swords and spears was certainly not anticipated by the rebels. Their bodies were pierced by spears and swords to penetrate the back or stab the face to penetrate the back of the head. Zariv's magic attacks were more effective than arrows, but the limited magical energy was a problem that no ordinary magician or military could overcome. That is, Zariv could not continue to launch such magic attacks unless he had an enormous amount of magical energy.
The commanders remained boldly and calmly in control of their soldiers. As soon as the soldiers had calmed down, the commanders ordered them to retreat. They withdrew abruptly and smoothly as the magicians and archers held back the pace of the cavalry and rebel infantry.
The rebel forces are trying to catch up to the troops that have just retreated, but of course they are protected by archers and witches,
After torturing their troops, the rebels saw them fleeing after a less fierce resistance.
But, to Arevelk, this was just the beginning of a nightmare.

The small force led by Nio left Edera, Hevaz, and the refugees. Some refugees first saw such a group of soldiers, helping an unknown group of people. Even if they were dying, neither Arevelk nor Yekirnovo soldiers would be willing to help them. The leader of the nine green-clothed warriors with the strange stick weapon was the one that attracted the most attention of the refugees, especially the one who had previously worked as the Silent Killer.
They were in the forest of the Arevelk Kingdom territory, and could be used as a natural obstacle.
Huvu with a calm expression answered his sister's question, “To make sure the man was ‘the one who foretold the original’ or just a prank, we will see his own fighting ability.”
Huvu, Ebal, and the Silent Killer teenagers were wearing clothes that allowed them to move around agilely. For teenage girls, they wear fairly minimal clothing, and only cover the important parts. That is not a problem although there will definitely be men who look at their bodies with ca*bul eyes.
Amazingly, their fighting gear was unknown to the Nio members, except for the weapons that the young man's subordinates had nearly confiscated if Edera had not defended them. The Silent Assassins took their respective weapons in the form of short swords, daggers, and arrows complete with arrows.
Cat breeds do not need any weapons in a fight, they are used to using claws and canine teeth that can tear human flesh easily. Meanwhile, raccoon and rabbit races have their own unique abilities in fighting, although they still require light weapons in combat to increase the damage on the enemy side.
“Please don't joke, Edera, answer my question honestly. What other ‘worldly man’ it is ‘people foretold? Because I think His Excellency Hevaz was just wrong in choosing such an important figure.”
Huvu's doubtful expression was like Edera's disbelief of the Expeditionary Force that had saved him from the slavery that took away his freedom first. However, he felt that Nio was indeed no ordinary soldier, as anyone would definitely hold a grudge against someone who had already eliminated his right hand. However, Nio still asked that he be released, because he felt Edera was only a victim of brainwashing and did not know anything.
Meanwhile, Huvu still feels doubt if the other ‘world’ forces fighting alongside Arevelk and Yekirnovo fight the Alliance fighting sincerely. Because it could be behind the sincere face is hidden dark intentions.
As a land of great power, the home country of Nio and his subordinates can do whatever they like to the weak country of this world. Taking people in conquered lands as captives or forcing them as slaves was commonplace in this world. So as not to change the possibility that Nio's home country and his subordinates did the same thing, it kneels the shadow of a private Huvu.
The defeated state or territory to which they were born and raised is controlled and occupied by the enemy, its inhabitants will be deprived of their dignity and rights as defeated persons, then exploited through slavery or forced labor. Huvu was not so sure of his shadow, so he wanted to ascertain for himself what purpose Edera was fighting alongside Nio – as a Guild warrior.
“I know, fighting with the person I almost killed does look impossible,” said Edera and listened to by fifteen Silent Killers and Hevaz. “I know they definitely have a purpose for this war. But, Mr. Nio. I think he's different. Fighting alongside him was very something, even his subordinates also felt that way despite often making Mr. Nio a hassle. After he forgave my mistake, I have decided to give strength, body, and life to help Mr. Nio's fight in this war. He really is a trustworthy person, but I don't know with his superiors, kings, as well as nobles in his home country.”
“I beg you to trust Mr. Nio,” the sentence is not Edera who said it.
The eyes of the teenage Demihumans who had been ready to return to being Silent Killers instantly rounded when they heard Hevaz – an Envoy of the Goddess of Death and a God of war dubbed the Soul Eater – pleaded solemnly. Of course, a figure who possessed such great power to plead was an extremely rare and almost impossible occurrence.
“Yeah.. Edera, you don't have to hook it up to the royals in the man's home country. We know how the original nature of the nobility if it has been given power.”
Huvu was still a young girl, like Edera, Ebal, and other Demihuman girls. It was natural that he might be afraid of a man he barely knew, and be wary of the man for looking close to his sister.
“It's clear, we will help them. The man and his subordinates are already helping us, giving us food, and guaranteeing our safety. Just helping may not be enough,” said one of Demihuman's teenage boys.
By the time Ebal and Huvu heard their partner's words, the two girls finally felt why Edera looked so idolizing the man named Nio. Although the existence of Hevaz has shown that the man is ‘people predicted’, but still the Silent Killers want to help the Nio group.
Meanwhile, the elderly and adults who were unable to fight had been evacuated by the pick-up squad that had actually arrived late. The pick-up personnel could only observe the Demihuman teenagers with puzzled and suspicious gazes. However, the presence of Edera who sided with Nio among them made the pick-up personnel forget the suspicion and choose to ignore even though their suspicious movements deserve to be watched.
“All refugees have been in the vehicle, do they not want to come too?” ask one of the Russian contingent's pick-up personnel to Hevaz while pointing at a group of Demihumans who are seen preparing for something.
“They plan to help Mr. Nio. Reportedly, there are enemies who entered this forest after crossing the border line.”
“Enemy attack?! What do you say seriously?” the Russian soldier's remarks alerted his comrades and their rifles had been alerted in semi-automatic and full-automatic mode.
The 12th Team of the Reconnaissance and Battle Corps contained elite soldiers and special forces, thus their combat capabilities were above that of regular troops. Although the pick-up squad personnel did not doubt the ability of the young soldiers, TRIP, but indeed assistance is a good choice.
Unfortunately, Hevaz actually put on a threatening expression and said, “You better not plan to interfere with my Master's fight. For the sake of safety, you are quick to secure the refugees, or you will be caught in a much more complicated matter.”
“Si-ready!” the Russian soldier said with a nervous and agitated expression.
Not getting a special portion in the fight that is in sight does make the pick-up squad personnel upset. But once they realized that the enemy's abilities could not be underestimated, they chose to let Team 12 handle the enemies Hevaz meant. No Indonesian, North Korean, and Russian contingent soldier wants to die silly in this world.
There must be at least some of them who saw the news on TV and newspapers or other media about the return of the Expeditionary Force. With a sad face and almost crying, news anchors on private and state TV stations read out the news of the return of the troops that brought victory, he said, thousands of friends were killed and laid in coffins wrapped in red and white cloths.
No soldier wants the news of their death when fighting in this world to spread, although in the previous war the number of soldiers who died in each country reached thousands. The respective countries of the army wanted the war against the Alliance as a cover for the war, so there was no need for any more youths to leave the pleasant youth nor for husbands and children to leave their families.
The existence of Nio and a thousand TRIP personnel in the Indonesian, Russian, and North Korean versions of the Peace Forces made the adult soldiers realize their luck. Although previous wars killed friends and families of soldiers, they were still able to enjoy their youth before enlisting to become soldiers.
All APCs and high mobility vehicles move at a speed that is felt to make passengers in the form of Demihuman humans feel comfortable.
One APC and two high mobility vehicles belonging to the pick-up squad drove off from Edera, Hevaz, and the Silent Assassins. News of enemy troops crossing the border should be reported to the company commander and Arevelk forces in Girinhi Fortress.
“Alright, it's time to interrupt that person's pleasure.”
The entire Silent Killer smiled and was impatient with the fight they were about to face.
“Better you guys don't bother Mr. Nio and his subordinates too much.”
A moment later, the entire Silent Assassins, Edera, and Hevaz moved at a rapid pace. With both wings, Hevaz flew over the dense trees while watching the movements of the Silent Assassins he had not so much faith in.

Group 1 led by First Lieutenant Nio and Group 2 led by Sergeant Major Hassan moved between the trees and shrubs quickly, and only showed a silhouette that ran as fast as lightning. Zefanya's light sniper rifle weighs the same as the SS20 G2 owned by Indonesian contingent personnel, which is less than five kilograms. So that he could move without being left behind with his comrades.
The two-sided tactics that Nio said made them face the enemy from the front and side, then reduce each enemy soldier slowly and regularly. That might seem like a good tactic before they face the enemy. When moving to find the enemy position and group 2, Nio wanted more information about this forest terrain.
“Everything stops!”
Handsfree all members of group 1 connected with Nio's signals obey their commander's orders, and Nio keeps telling group 2 to monitor the enemy's movements and if necessary lead them to a predetermined point.
“Living life to Barista, do you hear me?”
After hearing the voice of ants, finally the leader of group 2 answered Nio's call, “Barista is here, what do you want to say?”
Infrared glasses device on the helmet of each soldier is able to receive the radiance of a person's body from a distance of two kilometers. The way to distinguish between opponents and friends is to see the color of body heat, because the device on the helmet is able to distinguish between opponents and friends to minimize killing their own colleagues. Red is the enemy's sign, and blue is the friend's sign.
Nio can see group 2 with a body heat beam marked in blue is 600 meters from where it is now, and continues to move along with the heat radiance of the enemy's body marked with red.
“You can see group position 1, right? If you can, escort the enemy to our place for an ambush.”
“Siap.”
After a brief reply from Hassan, Nio ordered his group 1 members to occupy their respective positions, their estimate of meeting the enemy was half to an hour ahead depending on the situation. He set the flow of a small river with a medium current as a hideout and an ambush point.
They are now on the river bank opposite the current existence of group 2. That means, Group 2 and Squad A have crossed this river.
In place of group 1 there are many trees, shrubs, and rocks that can be used as hiding and across the river as a kill zone so that there will be an ambush from two sides.
Group 2 will ambush enemies from the right side as well as providing pressure shots with spread attacks. Group 1 handles the front side with the same task, namely giving pressure shots, sniping, and enemy roadblocks to advance or retreat.
Group 1 members occupy positions that are considered the best places to shoot, they are spread out with a distance of no more than four meters. Some hide behind large tree trunks, lie on their stomachs among the bushes, or take refuge behind large rocks. Nio chooses to take refuge behind a rock, and Zefanya as a sniper hides behind a nearby bush.
(olog note: sniping is the task of messing up enemy lines with stealthy and precise firing tactics, and as much as possible making it difficult for the enemy to find the position of the shooter)
Helmets that cover all parts of the head to the face do make the soldier only see dark, so that the camera outside is connected to the optical screen and holo window that provides all types of data to replace eye vision.
Even without activating additional holo devices, soldiers can see enemy positions and obstacles with an attached optical screen, including a body heat detection device. Because the helmet covers the entire head to the face of the soldier, so the device serves as an additional vision in addition to transparent holo glass on the previous generation of combat helmets used by regular soldiers until now (can be seen on the new cover).
Enemy troops use long-distance marching tactics such as open combat with frontline troops as the main attacker and rear line as support and protection, and without the slightest intention to hide themselves. As Nio received information from Hassan, the number of enemy soldiers was more than a hundred soldiers and was a unit armed with rifles. Although the enemy made them outnumbered and out of attack, Nio felt their tactics were very simple and predictable.
Situations like this, where a small unit has to seize the opportunity and defeat a larger army, can be seen as one-sided combat. Knowing if Nio's way of fighting was so reckless, maybe he would make his members have to kill enemies in large numbers. From the very beginning of their arrival to this world, the one-sided battle had indeed become a battle that Team 12 had happily engaged in with a slight grunt.
“What's your name?”
“Lieutenant, don't ask as if you're a pen angel in the grave!” grouse Ika.
Nio only chuckled as he heard the group 1 members goosebumps hearing his words, as if he was an angel in charge of questioning the person who had just been buried.
“Responsored ‘we are Guild warriors who will not back down from the fight before win’ what is the difficulty?” say Nio again.
“How about using the motto TRIP, which sounds ‘We are young, loyal, and brave, and there will be no opponent who can defeat us. Student Army ready to be frontline combat tool’.”
“Bima, isn't that an extension?,” connect Nio.
“Letnan, instead of the motto TRIP is too long to be called motto?” reply Ratna.
Most TRIP personnel will complain if they have to memorize the motto or slogan of their unit that is so long.
Nio again chuckled to respond to the fact that Ratna said that sounded from her handsfree.
“Zefanya and Ro Ga-Eun, you definitely do not know our TRIP motto.”
“What is Lieutenant, it seems interesting,” Ga-Eun sounds very curious about Nio's words, as well as Zefanya.
Nio then completes the motto TRIP Bima previously pronounced:
“We are young, loyal, and brave, and there will be no opponent who can defeat us. The Student Army was ready to become a frontline combat tool. We will inflict enormous destruction on the enemy. Because TRIP is two forces in one and never unprepared. Let the will of God determine the path of our struggle.”
Zefanya and Ga-Eun could only put on a flat and astonished expression behind the helmets covering their faces.
“Totally long...” said Zefanya, but in a complaining tone.
Meanwhile, all members immediately became calm after Nio finished saying the super long slogan belonging to the Indonesian Army Student. According to Nio, the slogan TRIP as taken from the motto belonging to several TNI units, so it is very long, probably the longest among the motto belonging to the armed forces of any country.
“They're approaching,” said Nio in a watchful tone.
“Enemy?”
“True. Everyone is ready for the fight. I will not forgive anyone who gets hurt after the fight ends.”
“I should have said those words, Let,” replied Gita.
