High School Soldier
Fake information

“What did you say?!”

A simple building, but surrounded by a four-meter-high fence stood between the houses of the citizens. Although the surrounding environment is calm, but the angry sentences of someone in the building make it striking. The high fence protected by a filamentous wire on the top makes the building in stark contrast to the simple surrounding houses without excessive protection.

The one who shouted was the king of the Kingdom of Salodki, Takobi. In one of the rooms in this building, he sat down with several Alliance commanders, and a number of soldiers who had managed to escape the battle in the Gulf of Horn. He shouted while pounding the table, almost strong enough to split it in half. The commander's efforts to appease Takobi were ignored by him. The commanders sat with faces as pale as the heavy case prisoners to be executed.

It's natural. Of course the anger of the ruler Salodki was ferocious after his nap was interrupted, plus news of Alliance fighters failing to repulse Indonesian forces from the Gulf of the Horn.

Thanks to information from one of the Alliance's agents, Tam, they were able to come up with a plan to defend Salodki through Horn Bay. To counter Indonesian amphibious forces, the Alliance acquired coastal defense artillery guns and heavy machine guns from the Hero Naf*su. Unfortunately, all of the Alliance's efforts were destroyed in one night.

The Alliance Navy successfully tamed several Sea Dragons to fight the Indonesian floating steel called ‘ warship’. However, the fate of such live weapons was the same as that of coastal defense artillery and Alliance forces tasked with defending the Gulf of Horns coast. The Sea Dragon was supposed to have power equivalent to a light submarine, but was smashed to pieces with explosive magic dahsya belonging to the Indonesian forces.

King Takobi is not the only one who is upset about being disappointed. On the other hand, the Alliance's defeat in the Gulf of Horn was the result of an incomplete patrol and investigation and was based solely on limited information from the Hero of Amarah, a former Indonesian fighter. Undeniably, information is the main cause of defeat or major victory of an armed forces.

“Why is the Indonesian navy coming faster than expected?!”

Although the Hero of Anger told that Indonesian steel warships were capable of speeding, the calm north sea should not have strong enough winds for a ship to sail fast, unless there is additional rowing power. Unfortunately, Indonesian ships were not driven by sails with the help of wind. Thanks to that, the opposing warships were able to sail much faster than the Sea Dragons.

The Alliance is working on upgrading its weaponry equipment with the help of Heroes, in order to keep up with the great technological power of the other world. They require detection and communication tools to avoid major adverse defeats.

However, there is one piece of information that is hard to accept, and it is too unreasonable to call a coincidence. Namely information about an Indonesian soldier who ‘hampir’ managed to kill the Hero Regret.

“We are conducting an investigation and pursuit to capture the Hero of Hope. But, we can only imagine the Regret Hero almost getting killed is a coincidence!” said one of the Alliance Forces commanders.

“Indonesia may have powerful weapons that can trouble Heroes. But I really can't imagine a warrior without Blessing God can injure a Hero of Regret, ” Takobi said as he bit the tip of his thumb nail.

The foggy battleground, plus the flow of magical energy in the extremely weak area of Horn Bay, was probably the reason for the killing of many Alliance warriors who had lost to the Hero of Regret.

The information circulating was that the Indonesian ground forces were supported by Demihuman troops and the Envoy massacred the Alliance forces blindly. They fought as if the Alliance soldiers were just imaginary targets during training, and the fighting did not even consider the possibility of being killed. That is, the morale of the Indonesian forces that killed many of the Alliance's combat witches was much higher.

Later, the ground forces were supported by warships tasked with preventing the Alliance from providing fire assistance by sea. Thanks to that, a Sea Dragon and several warships armed with a hundred cannons were destroyed.

The most unreasonable was still the Hero of Hope who was able to injure the Hero of Regret without the Blessing of the Gods.

It made it even clearer if the Hero of Hope was filled with miracles. Therefore, the Alliance had to capture him. The spirit to do so is burning.

“The battle at Teluk Tanjung is likely to continue. The enemy may be planning an attack to clear the troops there. Why are there enemies like them in this world?” complains of one of the commanders.

With just a small force, the troops in the Gulf of the Horn could be subjugated, even mostly finished off. Are they part of the elite?

“Most importantly, why did the Alliance only send a small force to defend the Gulf of Horn?” the question was from Takobi who was spoken with an annoyed face.

“Please excuse me, Your Majesty. We are here only subordinate commanders, and there is no direct relation with the tens of thousands of troops defending the Gulf of Horn,” replied one of the other commanders.

The attack on the Gulf of the Horn is too devastating to be called Indonesia's first offensive attack since their arrival in this world, according to the people in this building. For example, why is Indonesia too confident to deploy all their warships in the world to attack the defense of the Gulf of Horn? How could Demihumans and soldiers who relied solely on technology be able to defeat combat magicians? And see how easily a Sea Dragon is killed by the opponent's mysterious weapon. All the minds of people are empty, and unable to answer these questions. With only a few troops on the ground, the Indonesian warships were well protected from the Magic Artillery attack plans of the Alliance's combat magicians.

“We also get some information from our soldiers who survived.”

“Well, should the witch be able to send a report quickly before the attack.”

The content of the report is that the enemy is doing battle quickly, with the actual estimate of the enemy not fighting. It was visible from the direction of the enemy's directed attack after a while the battle began, not since the beginning of the opening of the fight. However, the opponent was too prepared for a non-combat mission.

Reports of encounters with aimless troops were clearly ridiculous. That plus they were able to defeat a portion of the battalion led by the Hero of Regret. If it wasn't a battle that even the enemy hadn't planned from the start and only God's willed will, the opponent would have had an extremely powerful control commander.

“According to reports, a new enemy directed attack is carried out after a few minutes of fighting. The type of battle that the opponent does is to attack by spreading, then launch a centralized attack after we are cornered. All you can do is be astonished, Your Majesty,” said one of the commanders.

From the start of the battle in the Gulf of Horns, only the Alliance had suffered losses. It was the result of the difference in the strength of both sides. Coastal defense artillery should be able to defeat at least a small number of Indonesian amphibious forces. But, usually the artillery fire that is right on target relies on chance and luck. After all, some coastal defense artillery was destroyed before they rained down on Indonesian warships.

If the Guilds true purpose of sending troops to the Kingdom of Salodki was to attack the Alliance from the west, deploying troops to some point that had been marked would be one of the options. But, only battleships and a few ground troops were dispatched by the Guild, and the Alliance's defense went to waste thanks to those small forces. Of course the existence of an otherworldly soldier who defeated many of the Alliance's combat mages was an additional surprise in that battle.

Coastal defense artillery and heavy machine guns were escorted by thousands of rifle infantry and a number of magicians. But, with the infantry calm the opponents who came out of nowhere were so calm as to destroy some artillery and machine guns, and they were so hard to chase.

Although the Alliance forces in the Kingdom of Salodki had to hold on, they would slowly be exhausted. The order conducts a battle when such conditions are to be questioned. The defeat of the Hero of Regret definitely lowered the morale of the troops even though it was insignificant.

But the Alliance had earlier learned from their main agent, Tam, that Indonesia would send troops and small ships to carry out surprise attacks. However, as a shock troop, the opponent only provided standard rifles for the Guild troops and standard weapons for the Demuhuman fighting tribes.

In an information war, truth is not necessarily guaranteed. Even if an information seemed to be filled with truth, it was not very helpful in a field battle. And that is why people in this place should suspect every possible lie or leak of information.

“If all this is about information, what do you think,” Takobi said.

If no information was made up, they would not have to answer King Takobi's question in a word.

Of course the Alliance agents had been spread throughout the Arevelk and Yekirnovo regions, as well as countries from neighboring continents that could potentially become members of the Guild. The Alliance's main agent was a man named Tam, tasked with being a refugee in the camp the Guild had set up in the Holy Land, then reporting everything about the place.

Everyone could not accuse Tam just like that because he was the Alliance's most reliable agent. There is no evidence that any or some of the Alliance agents deliberately leaked or provided the Alliance with false information about the movements of the Guild Forces. The alliance must have been burdened with a huge problem since there was no explanation for the situation. It's really unsettling, so maybe some of the commanders around Takobi will cry.

“I consider the presence of a double agent, or treason. However, there is no evidence of such a possibility,” said one of the commanders.

Another commander responded, “I still assume if there are traitors who deliberately give false information to us.”

“But, double agents or traitors are highly unlikely. Only a few people were aware of the plan to build a defense in the Gulf of the Horn in order to hinder the resistance movement of the Guild.”

“It is possible that someone who does know the Guild will send Indonesia in battle in Teluk Tanjung, but he deliberately kept it a secret and gave us false information.”

At this point, the Alliance had lost in the power of information. It was only a matter of time that a number of people in the Alliance thought that way, even assuming the Alliance lost out on everything from the Guild even though the organization lost some of its power due to one of the contingents deciding to withdraw its troops.

But, the idea that the Guild was weakening had been rejected. However, on the other hand the Alliance also had some secret weapons with the God-given power.

Of course the Alliance hoped the Gods would take sides on their side, and give the power to destroy the Guild before the Great War Period actually occurred. The alliance plans to defeat Indonesia in this war before declaring war ‘lag’ on other worlds. Of course the Alliance needed additional strength and allies before starting the Great War Period, they could not just rely on the strength of the Heroes and Heaven God Envoy.
