43. Operational preparation

To seize, is to take something by force or by force. You can also take something with the power of a weapon.

One way to seize the independence of this country from the invaders is using the power of weapons. Indonesia gave the status of other world troops with the designation ‘colonizer’. Some important cities in Indonesia are controlled by other world forces.

Company 406 and Company 32 are planning a military operation on central orders. Their military operation is to retake Mojogedang District from the control of other world forces that have controlled the region in recent months.

The soldiers were training to prepare themselves for a battle that was only a matter of days.

Especially for Nio who returned to lead Team 3 of Company 406 after several months of training.

To deal with a much heavier battle, the soldiers trained with zeal to the point of shouting.

The screams annoyed people who were doing military-related work.

Shooting is an ability that must be possessed by soldiers. Although some of them do not need to be proficient in this field, such as medical troops who are in the back line to help injured soldiers.

But still, shooting is a basic ability of a soldier in addition to physical abilities.

The best shooter in this squad is Tania, obviously because he's a sniper from Company 32.

Besides being proficient at shooting using sniper rifles and sniper types, Tania is also adept at using assault rifles. Despite being quite small, Tania had many adults who admired her.

Especially Nio who was training together with him, he could only be amazed even though the value they got was thinly adrift.

One more thing, Tania has also obtained a brevet as a sign of proficient sniper shooting. While Nio gets a brevet mark proficient at shooting pistols and marks proficient assault rifles.

That means, Tania's toughest competitor is Nio himself.

“Looks like your ability to increase,” said Nio after finishing shooting using his assault rifle.

“You too, it seems that the training you took was not in vain,” Tania replied while carrying an assault rifle similar to Nio's.

Nio while laughing a little said, “Yes, I was there Just getting torture.”

Along with the other soldiers who had finished shooting practice, Nio then returned to the canteen for lunch.

But before arriving at the front door of the canteen, Herlina blocked Nio's entrance while crossing her arms in front of her chest.

“What's up?” said Nio with a lazy tone.

“Follow me,” replied Herlina with a serious face.

Nio followed Herlina from behind and thought if there was anything she should handle. The two of them walked to the command headquarters of Company 406.

When he arrived at Herlina's office, Nio was not immediately allowed to sit down. Herlina sat in her chair and stared firmly at Nio who was standing before her.

“Nio, I want to ask,” said Herlina who made Nio gulp her saliva.

“A-what?” nio answered nervously.

“Do you know about Topographic Unit?”

Nio rolled his eyes and recalled the matter that Herlina had asked him.

“A unit whose main function is to create a combat map and topographic management. Approximately that means,” replied Nio with confidence if the answer is very appropriate.

Herlina then smiled which made Nio even more astonished and again did not understand from Herlina's smile.

“ In preparation for the operation to retake Mojogedang District, I want you to lead your Regumu and Squad 1 to scout the enemy forces and record the number....,” Herlina's speech came to a halt as Nio raised his hand.

“Wait a minute, I need to take note,” Nio said as he pulled out a small notebook from his uniform pocket.

After Nio was ready with his pen and book Herlina connected his words, “I order you to estimate the number of enemies, the location of his main headquarters and the condition of the residents of Mojogedang.” District

Nio recorded the important points Herlina said while nodding and muttering to herself.

“Hmm... hmmm... hmm... hmmmm.

There were no more questions that Nio said, because the orders of the superiors were absolute and indisputable. Unless the superior orders the soul of humanity at stake, a subordinate has the right to refuse the superior's orders.

Executing and raiding civilians is one of the things that is prohibited during combat.

“Siap, I get it. So when are we leaving?” nio asked after putting his notebook back in his uniform pocket.

“Two days left, prepare everything today. Go to the combat gear section to ask for the gear you want,” Herlina said as she gave some recommendations on the equipment Nio will bring.

“Siap..!”

“One more, you are allowed to fight if needed. Otherwise, you should be back soon in 5 days.”

“Siap..!”

Nio had already gathered all the members of Squad 3 and 1 who had finished lunch. Of course to give the mission direction that they will carry out in two days.

The commander of Squad 1 was now Sima, so it wasn't too difficult for Nio to cull these troops.

“Captain gave us the mission, which is to be the Unity of Topography. We'll be leaving in 2 days. Think of this mission as an additional training menu. Prepare everything from now on, okay!?” nio said firmly.

“Siap, Understand..!” answer simultaneously all the members who will become the Unity of Topography.

After giving some additional directions, Nio disbanded the line in order to continue the training.

When returning to do the exercises, some soldiers look excited because the mission they will carry out can be said to be quite challenging.

“Sima, wait!” nio said before Sima moved away from him.

“What's up?”

“Can you help me take the phrase that we will bring to the Equipment Section?”

“Of course.”

Nio and Sima walked away from the training ground and left their respective subordinates.

The Equipment Section was the group that developed and maintained the armaments of the 406 and 32 Company.

Nike and Rika are part of this group and are tasked with helping to care for weaponry. They did this in order to gain protection from the troops inhabiting the underground city.

In the garage are parked several armored cars mounted machine guns and anti-tank missiles. There are also other equipment such as two drones, a personnel rocket launcher and a spare rifle for soldiers.

Nio read the recommendations of the equipment Herlina had given him to carry.

A guard of this place approached Nio and Sima who were still discussing about the equipment to be brought.

“There can be helped?” ask the guard of this place.

“What is all this?” asked Nio while handing over a sheet of paper containing the recommendations of the equipment to be brought.

“Yes, everything is there. But for drones is still in repair. Estimated time finished tomorrow. is it okay?”

“It's okay, after all we'll only leave in two days.”

Finished checking Nio and Sima's equipment then returned to the training ground. However it seemed like the two of them had taken too long to check the equipment.

The entire army had finished training without the two of them. However that was not a problem for Nio, as his main task right now was to keep an eye on the soldiers of lower rank than him.

Nio then decided to return to the dorm after training on his own, which was running. It was the only sport he could do after training.

But before returning to the dormitory, Nio first went to the bathhouse to clean up.

After opening the dormitory door, Nio was greeted by Arunika who was preparing dinner.

With a smile Arunika said, “If you have a bath, let's eat.”

“I've taken a shower,” said Nio while showing her hair that still looks wet.

They both had dinner with occasional jokes. That's what they do often.

“Two days left I have a mission,” said Nio while devouring his fried tempe.

“Then?” arunika said with a stupid face.

“Why aren't you worried? You cried before when I came out of the underground city.”

“Yes, now you're part of the special forces. So worrying about you might go down the drain.”

“Great really.”
