79. Easy small battles 1

This army had moved as fast as the soldiers could, there was no sense of fatigue that the soldiers showed. Since in a few days they would reach the area around the Gate, maybe in 4 days they would reach the place surrounded by the fortress.
The tactical vehicle that Nio was driving was moving slowly, its speed matching that of the horsemen. He cannot drive slowly, as he prefers to drive at high speeds.
If possible, Nio can drive a tactical vehicle at high speed and leave the army led by Sigiz.
Nio was already at the location that the radio communication signal reached. He and the troops that were getting missions outside the fort were getting orders to arrive at the headquarters at least tonight.
“It looks like there is a serious thing.”
Nio answered the call briefly, and told her he expected to arrive at the fort.
All of the soldiers of the Arevelk Kingdom were soldiers who were obedient to their leader. The dragon riding troops patiently controlled their mounts by surrounding the troops that were on the ground.
Dragon rider troops can also function as scouts, because they are above height and can monitor the situation around. However, the fortress surrounding the Gate has not been seen, which makes it clear that troops should be more patient.

Stupid, and arrogant is Nio's judgment for Lux, the fitting phrase for Lux is ‘the more forbidden, the more it wants to do’.
At least Nio did not consider Lux a threat, due to Sigiz's existence as this female queen.
“Groomed.”
Nio opened the door for passengers sitting next to the rider, because of course Lux does not know how to open the door of this tactical vehicle.
Lux sat in the seat next to the rider, throwing her sword back and enjoying the comfortable passenger seat.

“I can't imagine an army this big attacking Karanganyar.”
Nio looked in awe at the thousands of men in extremely strong armor with long spear weapons, thousands of warriors on foot and armed with the best swords, the most powerful, as well as dozens of flying lizards that can spout fire with high temperatures.
Nio stops the tactical vehicle, and goes down to meet Sigiz with Lux. Sigiz pulled over to meet Nio so that the movement of his troops was not hampered just because he stopped.
“What is Mr Nio, does Lux make you uncomfortable again?”
Lux threw away her gaze to avoid the trouble she was making, while Nio and Sigiz simply looked at her with a cold gaze.
“I get a call from the central headquarters for me to return to the fortress immediately.”
“So you don't need an escort from us?”
“True, because tonight I have to arrive at the fortress.”
“Well, with your vehicle surely you can arrive at the fort quickly.”

Lux decides to re-lead his army, leaving Nio and Sigiz astonished by Lux's seemingly drastic nature. Nio feels that Lux is a woman who is always active and arrogant.

Nio had yet to reach near the fortress, but the atmosphere was like after there was a battle in this place. Some of the holes were quite deep, apparently burning with a stone in them.
“What the fuck is this?”
Nio controlled the tactical vehicle he drove to avoid the hollowed-out road. In addition to the hollow road, some parts of the fort look damaged and hollow. That hole is enough for an adult man's entrance.

Before Nio arrived at the fortress, the Imperial army sent out several thousand of its troops to make a surprise attack. They hoped that this sent army could reduce the strength of the enemy who controlled the Gate.
The surprise attack was able to break into one side of the turtle fortress, causing panic among the amateur soldiers.
However, the senior soldiers were able to ease the panic of the amateur soldiers and carry out an attack on the enemy troops who were about to enter the fortress from one of the broken sides.
This easy little war lasted only a few hours, with thousands of enemy soldiers successfully becoming captives.
This was Rantz's first loss as long as he commanded an army. He was too underestimating an enemy that only numbered in the tens of thousands, with an ability equivalent to that of a fire dragon king.
Nio felt that this was what made all the troops who were on a mission were ordered to return to the fortress.
