Today I was cooking a cake with Sevda and I don't think I've had any fun like this before. We baked the cake, but Vian just kept stealing it from the dough. He really makes me angry. So, shortly afterwards I slapped him with a spatula that had its dough on it. Finally he sulked and came out with a frown, then played with Layla.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang. Who'sis that?
"Sadiya, can you open the door?" Sevda asked me while putting the pre-printed cake in the oven.
"Of course" I said as I walked to the door. When I opened it, I saw a man. I smiled at him but he didn't reply.
"Who are you?" The man asked me. I can't even answer the question.
"Serkan!" I heard Vian's voice from behind me. They looked at each other with serious expressions and I could see that they did not like each other.
"What are you doing here? Hmh!" ask Vian while spitting. His eyes looked full of anger. I held Vian's arm to calm him down. He looked at me for a moment before taking a deep breath. I saw Sevda coming to us.
"Who is it-Oh, Serkan," said Sevda, nodding in his welcome.
"Why is he here? How did he know where you were?" Vian whispered to Sevda, but a glint of anger still emanated from his eyes.
"Sister, stop it. He deserves to see Layla" Sevda said. It made Vian even more angry.
"I don't care! The lawyer said that he should not approach you and most importantly should not go to your house! Why did you let him come here just like that?!" Vian serocos angry. But, Sevda did not let him talk any more.
"We made a deal. We are divorced but Layla is still her son. He can meet her whenever he wants. Don't interfere in my business, OK?" sevda said firmly.
Vian then shouted out the words in Turkish, which I myself did not know the meaning. Layla started walking towards us but Vian pushed me towards her before she could see her father.
"Take her to her room" she ordered and I immediately grabbed Layla's hand, taking her to her room.
"What the hell is going on?" He asked in Indonesian. I can only shake my head.
"Where's your drawing? You promised you would show a good picture. Whereabouts? Aunt Sadiya wanted to see .. "my words to her excitedly.
His face turned to be sparkling, and he quickly went to his room to open the drawer and took out a large picture book. He showed me all the pictures. I smiled at him.
A few minutes later, Vian walked in and hugged Layla for a while, then he looked at me. He moved his head, signaled that I should go out and I did.
Moments later I saw him following behind me.
"Is everything okay?" I turned my back to ask Vian. He nodded, then looked me in the eye.
"He's gone, but be careful" he said, then walked back to the living room. I followed him, I saw Sevda sitting on the sofa with both hands supporting his face. Vian went straight to the room but I was standing in front of Sevda.
"I mean ... Um, I don't know what to say, but you can tell me if you want" I said. I never knew how to comfort people because I had never seen that in my life, but I really wanted to make sure that she was okay. He patted the sofa next to him hinting at me for me to sit down, I followed him.
"Serkan and I got divorced because he only wanted money from me after marriage. My parents are rich and maybe that's the only reason why she would marry me, just for that. But I'm sure he can still be a good father, which is why I still allow him to meet Layla. Layla also loves her father. He has the right to meet her, no matter what I have experienced" he said, bowing down.
"With Vian ... Vian really doesn't like it if I let him back here. She was angry that I let Layla see her father, because she hated Serkan so much. I just .. I can only hope he can understand a little more and not say all that. She had no idea how painful it was," she told a story while letting her tears flow. He laughed while wiping his tears.
"I'm sorry, actually it's just a small quarrel but everything comes together and becomes too much,” he said standing up.
“Sleep, it's late at night,” he said as he walked into the kitchen.
I walk into the room. I saw Vian lying on the bed with the phone in his hand. He didn't look at me and I sat next to him.
"I'm sorry to your sister!" cerocos. He looked at me while rolling his lazy eyeballs, then he came back busy playing his phone again.
"Vian .." I said, trying to get his attention. He won't even see me when I say his name.
"Sadiya. Forget about it or I'll say things you don't want to hear" he said. I know he's still angry. I decided not to start a debate with him. I fell silent and lay down beside him.
"What are we gonna do? Sevda should know, we can not linger here," I said slowly after a while. I'm thinking about the reasons for how we came here and how we're going to get out of here. He threw a few faces and turned towards me.
"I don't know. I really don't know. The only thing I know is, I'll do anything to stop them from doing something" he said, turning his back to me and looking at his phone.
I smiled, I believed him. I went to the bathroom to change into my pajamas. When I finished, I came out of the bathroom. I lay under the blanket but turned my back and moved to the edge, away from it.
He turned off the light and I felt him shift a little. I feel tense. I know he's depressed this time. I could hear his heartbeat beating fast. His facial expression was very strange, I don't know how he felt.
I didn't know what possessed me that made me dare to turn to look at him. I moved my body closer to him. I wrapped my arms around her waist and buried my face in her shoulder. I tried to give him some comfort, I hope he'll feel better.
He didn't react to anything. He didn't move and didn't push me away. I closed my eyes, feeling relieved as if I had solved a problem.
I think he enjoyed it a little. Usually I always expect a lot from him, but he gives me nothing but violence. However, when he was in his weakest moments, like now, he would welcome him with open arms.
That's when I felt him rub my hand with his fingers, even if only for a moment. I smiled as I closed my eyes, inhaling her scent.

I can't breathe. It felt as if something was gripping my neck tightly. I opened my eyes and it was all dark. Of course it's dark, it's night. I coughed a few times and woke up. Suddenly I smell a stinging smell. What's this smell? Like charred! Suddenly I saw the fire start to spread.
