I was standing in front of a magnificent building, 'Oesma fashion' written beautifully on top of that building. This building is huge. People come in and out in fancy, expensive clothes.
The driver came up to me and gave me a signal to follow him. He's a strange man. Or maybe he doesn't like to talk to other people. He hasn't spoken since.
We also entered the building. My eyes were staring at the building. The whole wall is white. People walk and run small with clothes or a map in their hands. We went to the guest table, and I heard the sound of someone screaming in joy.
"Sadiya! Oh, my gosh! You're here?!" I heard Masara's voice from the guest table. He stood up and gave me a warm hug. I smiled at him. I don't know how to behave, because all this is new to me.
"Yes, I came here to see you,"
"Oh, yes. You have an appointment with Mr. Oesman. Follow me" he said, cutting off my unfinished words. I followed him too.
"So, you work here?" my many.
"Yes. You know, Hamzah was Vian's best friend. So, he helped us both to get a job" he said. I smiled knowing that Vian had been kind enough to help his friends get a job.
"Here, you can come in" he said, opening the door for me. I went in and saw my father-in-law sitting down. However, the moment he saw me, he immediately stood up while smiling at me. I smiled back, a little embarrassed.
"Masara, you can go now. Come and sit down, Sadiya" he said, pointing to the chair in front of him. I sat down and spread my eyes around. There are lots of design pictures everywhere.
"How are you?" He asked me. What do I have to answer? Was bad? A liverache? Or scared?
"Good, thanks. What about you?" my many. I try to speak as decently as possible.
"Well, too" he answered.
"Well, maybe you're still wondering why I asked you here?" He asked me, I nodded too.
He took a piece of paper and showed it to me.
"What are you going to change?" He asked me while pointing at the picture on that piece of paper. I watched the picture. A man in jeans and a sweater. It looks good, but the color is not appropriate. If the sweater is darker, it will look more fitting.
"The color is green, it should be darker. The more contrast, the better," I said a little uncertain. Vian asked me this too. What do they really want?
"Good ... And, what about this one?" He showed me another picture. That looks perfect. White T-shirt, with red pants.
"none. The red color looks harmonious combined with white. That's good," I said while still looking at the picture.
"good. Now, you got this job!" he said with pleasure. Wait, what? I looked at him and he smiled.
"Oh, sorry, I'm just too excited. So, we need a new designer. Because, our previous designers have stopped. I asked Vian to replace him, but he wasn't very good at drawing. Actually he has a good ability to combine clothes with materials, but not by drawing. Drawing is something different, because you have to create something new with good colors and materials. He said that you could draw perfectly, and you also helped him do the important work I had given him. We want you to be our designer. Congratulations!" he said while shaking my hand. I'm still surprised. A job? The designer? Me?
"I'm sorry, Mr. Oesman. But I don't think I can accept this job. I mean, I've never been to a design school or a course, and-"
"That's not necessary. We'll send you to school. Don't worry, everything will go well. Now, I'll call Masara. You guys should buy clothes. Don't get me wrong, it just looks less fitting if we walk around here in simple clothes. This is a famous company!" he said, it made me feel bad for a moment.
I looked down at my clothes. I only wore a pair of oblong pants, with a loose shirt top that had the bottom of it long to the knees. But .. I like this. I don't need new clothes.
'Go. It would be a start of something good, but not today. Believe me, said that strange voice. I smiled believing the strange sound. I also followed my father-in-law.
We went to the bench where Masara was sitting. My father-in-law spoke to him very slowly, so I couldn't hear anything. I saw Masara sparkling. Then my father-in-law came back to me.
"Masara will help you. Buy whatever you want, okay? If there's a problem, you can call me" he said, giving me a credit card. I stared at the credit card, my name written there. How could?
"Thank you, sir," I said. He nodded as well as passed. However, just as Masara was about to say something, I heard his voice again.
"And you can call me Dad." I turned towards the voice, and saw Vian's father smiling at me. I smiled back. Then, I turned to Masara who was preparing to stretch out his arms to embrace me.
"I'm so happy!" his yell. I know that, Masara. I know it ...
...***...
"Yes, that's it. The girl is alive again .." I said.
Masara and I were sitting in a cafe, enjoying a cup of tea. This place is a little strange, probably because I have never been to a place like this. I think this is a good place to calm my mind. While looking at the people who are enjoying hot coffee.
"What?!" Suddenly Masara broke my composure by shouting. Suddenly, everyone in the cafe turned towards him.
"What?" asked Masara again in a whisper. He still can't believe it. He looked at me with wide eyes and a gaping mouth.
"So, you mean, the girl that Vian loved so much is dead because of her mistake. But, suddenly he was alive again? But, how is it possible?" tanyanya could not believe it. He asked me, then who should I ask?
"Where do I know. But, I'm worried about Vian ... Ah, naw. I don't need to worry. They must be very happy now. If Vian is happy, I'm happy too. It doesn't matter if"
"Stop! How could you think that they were happy, that fast?! Have you gone crazy? I saw how he looked at you, I'm sure it was a look of love. I guess, Vian is not doing well right now, you should be there for him. I know it must be difficult, but you have to try it" he said.
I don't know what else to do. I put my head on both palms. I took a deep breath. Masara's right, no matter what happens I must always be there for Vian.
