Love Lightning Old Virgin

Love Lightning Old Virgin
LVIII CHAPTER

By the time the weather finally showed signs of improving, Ms. Harrow made a very unwelcome diversion by having an influenza attack. She dragged herself inside the house, wrapped in a scarf, saying she had a mild flu, she said, and only after she fainted one morning upon getting out of bed could she be persuaded to stay in bed or allow Caroline to call the doctor. There's nothing wrong with her, she's a little unwell, but it's going to get better soon, Caroline doesn't need to call dr. Andre, that doesn't mean he doesn't like it, because he believes the doctor is very pleasant and polite, but dear papa doesn't trust the doctor: and, after all, he doesn't, it was strange for him to fall ill when the house was full of guests, and it was his duty to stand still, even if it tormented him. However, she obviously had a fever, and although her face was flushed red, and complained of feeling too hot, she shivered violently, so Caroline overcame the problem herself, and sent the lackey with a message to dr. Andre's.

By the time the doctor came, Miss Harrow felt so weak that instead of rejecting her, she welcomed him as a savior, wept bitterly, and explained to him, in great detail, every symptom. Miss Harrow quits by pleading with her not to say she has scarlet fever.

“No, no, Mistress!” the doctor said calming.

“Just a little influenza! I'll give you the Salt Liquid, then you'll feel better soon. I'll stop by tomorrow, to see how you're progressing. In the meantime, you should be quiet quietly in bed, and do as Miss Dior asks you.” The doctor went out of the room with Caroline, told her there was no reason to be anxious, gave her some orders, and when the doctor said goodbye, looked at her closely, and said, “Well, 'Well, don't make yourself tired, huh, Madam? You don't look as healthy as when I saw you last time. I'm guessing you're overworked!”

When she returned to the room for the sick, Caroline found Miss Harrow crying with uneasiness, the reason for this new tear was his fear that poor little Luke might have contracted the disease from him, which if it had happened he would never have forgiven himself.

“Belevia Dear, there will be enough time to cry over it if she does have influenza, which she most likely will not catch,” Caroline said cheerfully. “Betty will soon bring you a glass of lemonade, and maybe if you drink that little lemonade, you will be able to sleep.”

However, it soon becomes clear Miss Harrow will not be a pleasant patient. She begged Miss Dior not to think about it, told her to just leave and there was absolutely no need to feel the need to stay by her side because Miss Harrow had everything she needed, and he couldn't bear to bother Miss Dior too much but if Miss Dior hadn't been present for more than half an hour, Miss Harrow becomes distraught as this shows her that no one cares what happens to her, let alone her dearest Caroline.

Grand Madam Dior and Cherry were both eager to share the task of caring for Miss Harrow, but Caroline would not allow the two of them to go to the sick room. Cherry was clearly relieved that she had never cared for anyone in her life, and was secretly afraid that she might do the wrong things: and Big Lady Dior, she was afraid, when explained to her she had to think about her children and since they were she should not be exposed to the risk of contracting it, agreeing reluctantly to stay away from poor Belevia. “But you have to promise me to take care of yourself, Caroline. You must let Elle help you, and you must not linger in that room or approach Belevia too closely! How bad it would be if you got sick.”

“Very bad and very surprising too,” said Caroline.

“You know I've never been sick. You can't forget all that happened when the Fu plague hit everyone in Chateau recently, except for the nurse and me. If you're willing to take care of Cherry for me, I'd be very grateful to you.” Elle, when asked if she was willing to help take care of Miss Harrow, said that Miss Caroline could entrust everything to her, and not feel anxious anymore. However, since Elle apparently suspected Miss Harrow of having influenza on purpose to cause them all to be in an uproar, Caroline was always ready to take care of her as she walked slowly into the room to measure the dose of the drug, wash Miss Harrow's face and hands, or pat her on the pillow. Elle dislikes Miss Harrow, thinks Miss Harrow could have improved if she wanted to, and generally behaves as if Elle was a warden watching over a troubling prisoner. Miss Dior vainly protested against him.

“I can't wait to deal with it, Madam, who keeps complaining just because of the influenza! Anyone would think he was suffering from lung pain when he heard the way he talked about his pain and pain. What's more, Miss Caroline, I became very irritated when she said she didn't want you to bother with her or sit with her, but before long wondered what happened to you, she said, and why don't you be nearby for hours!”

“Oh, Elle, please shut up!” please Miss Dior. “I know he he is annoying indeed, but we must remember influenza does make people feel so sick that it is no wonder he becomes! But, hopefully, you won't have to deal with it much longer. Doctor Andre has told me he sees no reason Belevia can't get up for a while from her bed tomorrow, and I think his spirit will be even more if he can wake up because that's what he wanted from the beginning.”

Elle snorted in disbelief, and said grimly, “That's what she said, Miss Caroline, but I'm sure we won't see her getting out of bed for a whole week!”

However, in this prophecy, Elle misjudged Miss Harrow. After being allowed to sit in an armchair for an hour or two the next day, Miss Harrow's spirit rose again. He began to mention one by one the work he had been forced to give up and announced his stance that the next day he would be strong enough to start over all his tasks: so Miss Dior had trouble preventing her from immediately doing the work of patching the broken sheets. Fortunately, Miss Harrow found herself so weak due to her severe but brief bouts of illness that after arranging her hair, she felt good to be sitting quietly in her armchair, with one scarf wrapped around his neck and another covering his legs, he was busy with no more strenuous work than reading the Morning Post's court news.

However, Miss Harrow certainly began to heal, and Miss Dior, despite feeling very exhausted, expected a period of calm when Elle, while uncovering the curtains surrounding the bed the next morning, telling the scary news that the nurse wanted dr. Tidmarch was called in to check on Mr. Luke.
