My Fiance Is The 2nd Male Lead
Engagement

When he woke up the next day, Suiren felt his body ache and his head felt unusually dizzy. More so than when he woke up after the drowning incident.

But more than anything, he was more shocked to learn that he woke up on his own bed without remembering that he was walking home.

“How was your first experience of spending three beers at a time?” his father's voice shocked him.

Suiren quickly got up from his bed and tried to look normal.

His father was reading thick files on the table where Suiren used to drink tea.

Suiren tried to remember what happened last night, but his memory stopped until he finished his second glass. He could not remember spending three beers at all.

“Correction, Father.” Suiren ventured to justify his father's statement. “I only drank two glasses of beer.”

General Themisree finally took his eyes off the thick beam before him to look at Suiren. “You should thank Duke Wisteria for bringing you home last night.”

Suiren just nodded. Although he wanted to ask further about how he went home after being drunk and unconscious, but he ignored his intention. He just wishes he hadn't done anything weird while drunk last night.

General Themisree then took the newsprint from the top pile of his files and presented it to Suiren.

Suiren picked up the newspaper and read the first page. His eyes were almost out of place when he saw the news headline written on the front page with a very large writing size.

‘ADDITION OF THE IMPERIAL FAMILY : ENGAGEMENT OF THE TYRANT OF THE NORTH AND A CANDIDATE OF THE CROWN PRINCESS.’

“Daddy, is this what you mean by what you said back then?” suiren asked with an uncertain face. “When you tell me to shut up and do whatever you ask without asking anything.”

General Themisree nodded.

“To be honest I don't understand why Dad prefers Duke Wisteria's plan over mine.” Suiren threw a puzzled look at his father who was sipping tea from his cup. "In addition, why is Father so against my participation in the selection of the Crown Princess candidate?"

“You are too young to know everything, Suiren.”

“Does this have anything to do with my drowning incident in Lotus Lake?” Suiren shot his father with a question.

His father was silent for a long time. He looked like he was trying to string words together to answer Suiren's question earlier.

But before Suiren heard the reply from her father, Reina appeared from behind the door carrying clothes for Suiren.

“Lady Suiren, the bath water is ready." said Reina. "Then, the letter for you came from Lady Serena Tagates."

As if saved by Reina, General Themisree rose from his seat and hugged Suiren. “Daddy promises to tell you everything when you're ready.” The General then left Suiren's bedroom.

Suiren took the letter proffered by Reina and read it.

..."To the...

...Nielsen Themisree, ...

...Do you want to meet me to tell a story? Maybe I can ease the burden of your mind. I'll be at our usual place at twelve noon today....

...Signed,...

...Serena Tagate's."...

Suiren let out a long breath. How should he explain this to Serena? His head was in no condition to make up a story.

"Reina, I need something to get rid of my foe."

Reina nodded and left Suiren.

After that, Suiren rushed to get ready to meet his cousin.
