All day Suiren only slept in her bed thinking about many questions. He even asked everyone in his residence not to bother him.
When following the story in the novel 'Serena', Suiren should have died of drowning.
The death of Suiren Themisree in the novel is not explained much other than the fact that he died of drowning, because it was not his death that mattered but his funeral.
She was not sure if she should be happy not to die as silly as in the novel or sad because maybe because of her, Serena Tagates and Crown Prince Frederick Helianthus would not meet.
"I'm sure someone pushed me into the lake at that time." Suiren recalled the day he fell into the lotus lake.
He remembers when someone's hand touched him from behind and pushed him. Even so, he was very sure that there was no one around the lotus lake except him at that time. After all, not just anyone could enter the residence of the Themisree Family.
‘Could there be a traitor inside the residence of Themisree?’ Her thought.
Suiren quickly dispelled the accusatory thought from his head. He believes that the people who work in his residence are people who are honest and have integrity.
In addition to the question of the person pushing himself, he also thought of his savior.
If it wasn't Gilbert who saved him, then there would have been someone else who saved him. It is impossible to suddenly be on the edge of the lake, because the water of the lotus lake does not move at all.
Why leave me by the lake instead of seeking help?
The questions swirled in his head like a propeller. The more he thought, the more his head hurt.
"Yeah..." Suiren let out a long breath. He rolled his body on his bed to the right and to the left.
"What makes you breathe so long?" A voice startled Suiren from his daydream.
The Themisree general stood leaning at the entrance of Suiren's bedroom. His silver hair shimmered like moonlight when exposed to the afternoon sun. His face showed no signs of exhaustion after working in the imperial military for a full day.
Suiren's face that was used for thinking became bright when he saw his father.
"So, what's been bothering you all day?" Asked General Themisree while stroking Suiren's silver hair.
The only physical similarity this Father and Daughter had was their silver hair color. Although Suiren felt he resembled his father, many denied it.
"Is your job done today?" Suiren replied to his father's question with a question.
"I've asked Gilbert to finish the rest of my work. Just business with the Imperial Knights." General Themisree led Suiren to a balcony overlooking the Lotus Lake.
After the departure of his mother at a young age, often he was only accompanied by his caretaker, Freya. His father always went to war whether it was to expand or to defend his territory. In those days, he always prayed for his father's safety.
Currently, his father had a very high position as one of the four war generals of the Helianthus Empire commonly referred to as the War Council. So, his father did not need to leave him often. But coinciding with the position received by his father, Freya the nanny decided to retire because of the age of six heads. It seemed that Suiren was indeed unable to obtain everything.
Reina then enters Suiren's bedroom with a tray filled with teapots and pastries.
The smell of jasmine tea came out of the teapot that Reina had brought. A soothing aroma that brings many memories. Jasmine tea is her mother's favorite tea.
"You haven't answered my question." General Themisree sipped the jasmine tea that Reina poured.
Suiren knew he would not be able to escape from his father's question. He will continue to pursue answers from Suiren.
"I just felt a little tired after drowning yesterday."
He had to lie to his father for now. Because he knew, it would be complicated to have to explain about the memories of his previous life and the questions that were in his head. He also has not told about the incident when he drowned. About the impulse that caused him to drown.
He had to find out about all this himself. Because right now, he did not know who the person who wanted his death was.
"You don't have to worry, Dad." Suiren said with a big smile on his face. He did not want to make his father worry too much about him. “I'm fine.”
