My Fiance Is The 2nd Male Lead

My Fiance Is The 2nd Male Lead
Birmin Town

Birmin City is not as crowded as the city of Sephath or the Imperial Capital, Diora. Even so, Suiren could almost find everything in this city. Jewelry stores, clothing, knick-knacks, books and various other shops.

Suiren's eyes were fixed on a shop at the end of the crossroad, a bookstore that looked more like an antique shop.

“I want to go there for a while.” Suiren told Sergei. He walked to the bookstore and entered it.

Inside the bookstore, three-meter-high shelves filled the store. The height of the shelf was up to the ceiling so to reach to the very top of the shelf should use a ladder ban. The bookstore smelled like old-fashioned books, a smell that Suiren was very fond of. He can spend all his time here and he won't get bored.

Suiren walked down the hallway after the bookstore only to admire the sheer number of books. He skimmed the book titles neatly located on the shelves.

His eyes were fixed on a book wrapped in pink and read ‘Diriku and the Prince Volume 2’. He stretched out his hand to get the book. But instead of landing his hand on the book, he found his hand landing on someone's hand. The hand of a girl.

“Oh, sorry!” the owner of the hand said.

Suiren turned towards the voice and found a brunette girl with front bangs and a pair of dark green eyeballs looking at her with a smile on her face.

“Ah no, the book belongs to you. I'll find another book.” Suiren said while returning the girl's smile.

“No-no, I'm not interested in buying it. Actually I was looking for his first volume.”

Suiren looked at the girl with sparkling eyes. He did not expect to find someone who read the same book as himself. “Do you like this book?”

The figure nodded its head. “Very! I have read the second volume but have not read the first volume, I searched everywhere but have not found it.”

“I have read it. If you are interested, I can tell you the contents.” Suiren smiled.

“Really?! I'm very interested in your offer.” Reply to the girl with sparkling eyes. “Omong-by the way, my name is Satia Iris.”

Irises. Her last name was the name of a flower, it meant that this girl was a member of the noble family.

Suiren then bowed his face to pay his respects. “Lady Iris, introduce me Suiren Themisree.”

This time Satia looked at Suiren with a shocked look. His dark green eyes looked as if they were about to pop out of his eyelids. “Are you fiancee of Duke Wisteria?!” tanyakanya.

Suiren nodded his head. He didn't know he was this famous.

“Ma-pardon me for being so presumptuous, Lady Themisree.” Now replace Satia who bowed herself. “I didn't expect to see you here. To be honest, you look a thousand times prettier than the painting depicted in the newspaper. Sorry I didn't recognize you.”

Suiren smiled awkwardly. He did not expect that his engagement to Kyrie would lead him to this kind of situation. “Lady Iris, do you know a place where we can talk more? I want to tell you about the book ‘Diriku and the Prince Volume 1’.”

“Of course! Follow me, Lady Themisree.”

After that, they left the bookstore.

The cinnamon aroma of the warm cinnamon bread served in the presence of Suiren filled the air around Suiren. He was very impatient to taste the bread recommended by his new friend.

“Thank you for being willing to tell me the book ‘Diriku and the Prince Volume 1’, Lady Themisree.” Satia thanked him as she poured rose-scented tea in her cup.

“Same-sama, Lady Iris. Please, call me by my name only.” Suiren says.

“Then you can call me Tia, Suiren.” Reply Satia.

After that they both enjoyed the order they ordered each. While they were chatting in the cafe, Sergei waited for Suiren outside the cafe.

“Omong-by the way, is the city of Birmin always quiet like this? The atmosphere and level of the hustle of this city is very different from Sefath.” Suiren asked after he finished the cinnamon bread he ordered.

Satia looked at Suiren with an agitated look. Then he turned to the right and to the left, as if he were making sure that no one heard him. “Actually, Birmin is a very crowded city. But these past few months, there have been things that made people wary of going out.”

Suiren raised his eyebrows. “What kind of things?”

“Several months, the city of Birmin is being electrified by serial murders. Where the target is noble girl.”

Suiren was silent and listening.

“It all began about seven months ago, when Lady Rhiannon Freesia was found lifeless with a giggle on her neck at an inn. The next victim was Lady Tremaine Orchid, who was also found in the same state as Lady Freesia on the riverbank. Then the last one was two months ago, Lady Gracia Gypsophila was also found lifeless on the side of the road. All this makes people be wary to get out of the house, even more so the noble women.”

Suiren covered her mouth with her palm. He shuddered at the story told by his new friend.

“To be honest, I'm surprised Duke Wisteria let you go to town in times of this kind of situation.” Satia looked at Suiren with a confused face. “But we are talking about Duke Wisteria, I am sure he has ordered many bodyguards to follow you secretly.”

‘Or Kyrie forgot this situation after he turned back the time.’ Think Suiren.

“Has the City of Birmin been trying to find the culprit?” ask Suiren.

“Of course, but to date they have found nothing. I hope this problem is quickly resolved so that Birmin residents can leave the house with a feeling of security like before.”

Suiren nodded his head.

Satia glanced at the clock attached to the wall of the cafe, the time already showed at four in the afternoon.

“Ah, I'm sorry Suiren. But I have an appointment after this, are you okay if I go first?” satia asked with an unpleasant face.

Suiren shook his head and then smiled. “No, no. Thank you for accompanying me today, Tia.”

“Sama-sama.” Tia then stood up from her chair. Before he left Suiren he grabbed Suiren's hand and squeezed it. “How about we meet again, two days from now?” tanyakanya.

Suiren nodded. “Of course!”

After that Satia went out of the cafe and disappeared in the street.

“It looks like I have found something interesting.” Suiren Mumbled. He stood up and walked out of the cafe. He walked with Sergei and boarded his chariot to return to the Wisteria residence.
