My Fiance Is The 2nd Male Lead

My Fiance Is The 2nd Male Lead
Ethel, Suiren's personal servant

Suiren could not sleep. Not only because he was in a foreign place, but also because he thought about what kind of life is run by a Wisteria Kyrie.

Her favorite character in the novel 'Serena'.

"Oh no... What if the trauma Kyrie has had something to do with her mother?" Suiren said to himself.

He then rolled his body over the bed and covered his head with a pillow.

In the novel, it is not explained why Kyrie had trauma if someone held her neck. There is only a scene that tells how Serena tried to catch a beetle that perched on Kyrie's neck when they were talking under a tree. At that time, Kyrie fell asleep after hearing Serena humming and a beetle perched on her neck. As soon as Serena touches Kyrie's neck with the intention of catching the beetle, Kyrie awakens and brushes Serena's hand away. It was the first time Kyrie had ever resisted Serena's touch and it left her perplexed. But as time went on, Kyrie began to open up and was willing to explain her behavior to Serena.

"SORRY I JUST REALIZED I'M SO MEAN!!!" Suiren's screech from under the pillow. Fortunately, his voice was muffled by a pillow, otherwise it was impossible for all residents of the Wisteria residence to wake up because of him.

Suiren rolled her body and stared at the ceiling of her new bedroom. He no longer saw marigold paintings on his ceiling.

"I have to apologize." he murmured.

Suddenly, the morning sunlight penetrated into his room and illuminated a few spots in his room.

"Surely, I haven't even slept at all."

Suiren got up from his bed and walked towards the balcony of his bedroom. When he opened the door, a cold wind blew through his ribs.

Birmin does have much colder air than Sefath. The daily air in Birmin is similar to the spring air in Sefath, and Suiren likes it.

"Huff..not a day here and I'm starting to miss home."

Suiren let out a long breath. He knew his father only wanted to protect him from Empress Eleanor's attack, and that was frustrating.

He wanted to be able to protect himself, but remembering his past life was not enough for that. Remembering his mass life does not make him strong for a moment, because for seventeen years he has spent it daydreaming and reading books. If there is something he is proud of himself, it may be his brain ability.

Suddenly, someone knocked on his bedroom door.

A female figure with twilight colored hair entered the bedroom. The woman was wearing the same maid uniform that the other maids wore. When he saw Suiren standing on the balcony he looked shocked.

Suiren laughed awkwardly. "No, no!! I couldn't sleep last night, so I decided to get some fresh air."

The waiter then bowed in respect. "I'm Etheldreda Franweiss, you can call me Ethel. Duke Wisteria has assigned me as your personal servant starting from today."

Suiren nodded his head. "Then, thank you Ethel."

Then Suiren let Ethel do his job, starting from bathing, preparing clothes and dressing Suiren.

"How long have you been working here, Ethel?"

"I've been working here since I was twelve and now I'm twenty-one, Lady Suiren."

"Hmm... That means you've been working here since Duke Wisteria became the head of the family?"

Ethel nodded while still braiding the suiren strands of hair into braids.

Suiren wanted to ask further about Kyrie's relationship with her mother but she abandoned her intentions. He has a feeling that he shouldn't have taken it any deeper without Kyrie's consent.

After finishing his makeup, Ethel led Suiren towards the dining room. But instead of leading him into the hallway last night, Ethel took him to a different passageway. This hallway had no paintings at all, only empty walls.

When we got to the dining room, no one was there. The food was served on the table.

"I'll wait for Duke Wisteria to come." Said Suiren while sitting on the chair that had been reserved for him.

"Sorry, Lady Suiren. Duke Wisteria had already finished his breakfast earlier." Ethel said with a guilty face. "He asked you to go to his study after breakfast."

"Have you finished breakfast?.... What time is breakfast?"

"Duke Wisteria always finishes her breakfast before Duchess Breakfast, around six o'clock every morning."

Suiren nodded his head. In his heart he could not stop thinking that the relationship between Mother and Son was probably much worse than he had imagined.
