My Fiance Is The 2nd Male Lead
The Story of Kaen Ginryuu

Since Suiren had not drank any water at all, his body felt limp. He was barely able to keep both his eyes open.

“How can you last this long without drinking water?” tanya Suiren tried to dispel the drowsiness inside her.

“Who said that I didn't drink all this time?” reply Kaen.

Suiren gave a confused look.

“As a prince who ranks second in the royal throne, many tried to poison me. Most of them were from factions that considered that I was a barrier for my eldest brother to ascend the throne. So, I am proud to say that I am immune to drugs and toxins.” Kaen then explained.

Suiren grimacing. All this time he thought being part of the royal family was fun, but it wasn't.

“Are those people your oldest brother's errand?” ask Suiren.

Kaen nodded and smiled. His smile looks soft. It was as if he remembered something fun.

“My brother, Izana, was not a child born from the womb of an Empress but from the womb of a concubine. But there is a rule in the Kingdom of Ginryuu that the order of the throne is based on the order of birth, as the first descendants then Izana who is entitled to the throne of the kingdom.” The story.

“If you have to be honest, Izana is also not a good person to lead and the people in Ginryuu Kingdom are aware of that. They say that the only good thing Izana has is her kindness. But in leading, kindness is irrelevant.”

“Four years after Izana was born, the Empress gave birth to me and my twin sister. My twin sister was born two minutes before me, but because she was female she could not ascend the throne.”

Suiren slowly began to feel her sleepiness disappear from hearing Kaen's interesting story.

Suiren listened carefully.

“Azana support faction does a lot of things beyond reason to destroy the barrier Izana.” Further. “Poisons. Kidnaping. Attempted manslaughter. All of that I've experienced.”

“I and Izana are just tools for power-hungry people to achieve their goals.” He said with a sad face. “Not more than that.”

“Do you want the throne, Kaen?” ask Suiren.

Kaen nodded again. “I want to be a sword and shield for Izana. I will help him with all his might so that he can prove to those who underestimate him that what they think all this time is wrong.”

Suiren yawned slowly and then smiled. “I think you should do whatever you want. That way you can be happy. Rather than listening to others, you should try listening to your own heart.”

Kaen was slightly surprised to hear Suiren's words. He had never heard anyone tell him to do what he wanted. Everyone always told him to do things he didn't want to do. And all this time he had to follow the will of those people.

“You...” Kaen said as she stared at Suiren. “Have a very simple way of thinking, yes.”

Suiren put on a pouting face. He felt that what Kaen said was more like a mockery than a compliment. “I'll take that as a compliment.”

Kaen laughed while covering her mouth with one of her hands.

“It was indeed a compliment.” He said as he ruffled Suiren's hair.
