“So, you turned back the clock to save Serena and Crown Prince Frederick from their tragic fate?” Suiren asked with a look of disbelief. This man standing before him did so far as to save the woman he loved. He was not wrong when choosing her as his favorite character in his previous life.
“To save Serena.” Kyrie corrected Suiren's words.
“Then what? You hope that after you turn back the clock Serena will fall in love with you?” ask Suiren.
“One thing you need to know, I didn't do this all to get it. I do this because I want to see her happy forever. Even if his happiness is when he is with someone else who is not me.”
“Don't telling me all this could result in the failure of your plan? You originally wanted to control me like I was a doll.”
Kyrie then smiled. “No. I intend to invite you to cooperate. Your ability to see the future is very useful to me, even though sometimes what you see is a little off the mark. But at least I can use your abilities as a guideline, as a beacon to my plan.”
"It seems like it would be a waste to ask me to cooperate, Duke Wisteria. As you know, a lot changes with the future after you turn back the clock."
Kyrie looked at Suiren with her sparkling eyes. "I still want to work with you. After seeing your actions with the human trafficking syndicate earlier, I think it would be best if we combined our brains."
Suiren grunting. “What makes you think I want to work with you?”
“We have the same goals and interests, isn't that reason enough?” reply Kyrie.
“No, Duke Wisteria. In an agreement there must be trust between each other and we do not have it.”
“I trust you.” Kyrie smiles.
“I don't.”
Kyrie then took a deep breath. When he breathed out, there was smoke coming out of his mouth. “If there was a time when you felt I would betray you, you could reveal the big secret I have.”
Suiren squinted his eyes. Even though he held such a big secret, he still could not trust this person before him. A man who turns his time around to save his loved ones. But what he said was true, that they both had the same goals and interests, and by working together they would more quickly achieve that goal.
“Then if I betrayed you?” suiren.
Suiren swallowed his saliva.
If he betrays this man before him, his life is at stake.
“After all the secrets you hold are worth as much as my life. So it looks like we both have a balanced offer.”
Suiren held onto his forehead.
On the one hand he wanted to avenge the Empress but on the other hand he was afraid that Kyrie Wisteria would use it like a disposable item that once she reached her destination she would just throw away.
Kyrie extended her hand. He smiled with his annoying smile.
Suiren long stared at Kyrie in both eyes. He looked around if he could find out the dishonesty of his gaze but it was in vain. He could not read what this man had in mind.
Finally after a long moment of thought, Suiren let out a long sigh. “Good. But I still do not trust you completely.” He then shook Kyrie's hand.
“Of course. We can cultivate that trust while working together.” Answer Kyrie. “Then the plan starts from now.”
“You mean?”
Kyrie then turned around and walked back towards the encampment of the Imperial forces. “You will stay with me in the North from now on.”
Suiren widened his eyes. He felt that both his eyes would fall if he widened his eyes more than this. “HAH?!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN?”
“We will get engaged, it is not strange if we live together. After all, it would be easier to protect you from all sorts of dangers with you being close by my side at all times.”
“My father won't allow.”
Kyrie stopped her steps. Then he turned around and looked at Suiren with a triumphant gaze. “You misunderstood. This is your own father's proposal, Suiren.”
