When he reached the Imperial Palace, a male servant who looked older than Edward welcomed Suiren and Kyrie.

“Please follow me, Duke Wisteria and Lady Themisree.” The old servant gave a body gesture to follow him from behind.

The three passed through the hallway after hallway with a completely dustless dark red carpet and paintings displayed on the walls of the hallway. Along the way, once and twice they cross paths with the Imperial Knights in their white uniforms complete with sunflower-symbolized insignia.

Beside Suiren, Kyrie walked up to her body steps down the tunnel but her mind seemed not to be with her body. His face looked as if he was thinking about something important, and without realizing it they had arrived in front of a large gold-plated door engraved with large sunflowers.

When they were almost at the door, a woman walked out from within the emperor hall. She was wearing a dress with a dark green neck collar. Her calm face looked gracefully framed with her blood red hair. When he saw Kyrie and Suiren, the woman bowed in respect.

“Duke Wisteria,” reply. “dan Lady Themisree.”

Kyrie simply nodded, whereas Suiren had to bow in salute. The woman before him was Lady Tarance Rosa, daughter of Marquess Hardin Rosa. It is difficult not to recognize it by its appearance that resembles this rose. Although Suiren does not know him well in his life this time, he knows him as an antagonist in the novel ‘Serena’. Apparently, his appearance supports his role in the novel.

Lady Rosa may have just returned from an audience with the Crown Prince and Empress. It is common knowledge that Lady Rosa is one of the candidates through the influence of her family.

“Crown Prince Frederick Helianthus and Empress Eleanor Helianthus have been waiting inside,” said the old maid as she opened the door of the Emperor's hall.

Suddenly, Kyrie slipped her hand between Suiren's fingers and held her. His rough and large hands seemed to swallow Suiren's tiny hands. They then walked in while holding hands.

“Glory to the moon and stars of the Helianthus Empire, Crown Prince Frederick Helianthus and His Majesty Empress Eleanor Helianthus.” Kyrie and Suiren's voices echoed in the hall. They both bowed until they were invited to get up by these two people in front of him.

“Thanks to your head, Duke Wisteria and Lady Themisree.” The voice of men. His voice was very gentle and soothing, like a gust of fresh wind in a meadow.

When Suiren raised his face, before him sat a platinum blonde-haired man and blue-eyed winter sky. He looks so beautiful and handsome. Contrasting with his appearance depicting the winter, he just gave off a warm and friendly aura.

“It's been a long time since we last met, Kyrie.” Crown Prince Frederick said to Kyrie in a friendly tone. Like a friend who has not seen each other for a long time. “Congratulations for your engagement.”

Kyrie smiled and answered Crown Prince Frederick's question, “Thank you, Your Majesty.”

“You better start explaining what really happened here, Duke Wisteria.” On the other hand, Empress Eleanor's voice sounded filled with pressure.

“Before that, Mom. Is your body okay, Lady Themisree?” Crown Prince Frederick walked over to Suiren. It smells like mixed roses and citrus. Up close his face was like a perfect sculpture without the slightest frown and crack. How can one be born with a beautiful and handsome face at once?

“Thank you for your concern, Crown Prince Frederick. The flowers you sent played a big role in my recovery.” Suiren replied with a smile. He was inexhaustibly admiring the handsome face of Crown Prince Frederick.

“Eh-hem.” Empress Eleanor cleared her throat.

“Before, we want to apologize for the news of our engagement which certainly caused confusion. But the news is true. Actually, we were planning to announce our engagement in the coming summer, but we decided to do it as soon as possible given the misunderstanding that was raised recently.” Lie after lie came out of his mouth lightly and calmly.

Suiren could see what Kyrie was doing right now. He tried to subtly blame the imperial family for including her name on the Crown Princess's list of candidates without prior coordination.

“You must know that the imperial family knows everything, Duke Wisteria. Are you trying to say that the imperial family has acted arbitrarily without finding out the facts first?” Empress Eleanor replied to Kyrie.

“No, Your Grace. I admit that part of this misunderstanding was my fault because I did not tell the whole world that I and Lady Suiren were in a relationship.” Kyrie smiled wryly. A smile that looks sincere but holds sarcasm behind it.

“To be honest, instead of hearing the news of your close relationship with Lady Themisree, the rumor says that you are close to Lady Serena Tagates.” Eleanor smiled cynically. “I hope this isn't some kind of revenge, Duke Wisteria.”

Crown Prince Frederick did not give any response to his mother's words, but Suiren could see that the Crown Prince gave a glance to Kyrie. Between looks like he wants to know something but at the same time does not want to know the truth.

“My relationship with Lady Tagates is just a childhood friend. I already consider him as my own sister.” Answer after a short pause.

Empress Eleanor got up from her seat and walked over to Suiren. Her expressionless cold face was truly sinister. He looked like he was ready to pounce at any moment.

“How about you, Lady Themisree? Is there anything you want to say?”

“My heart is one with, Duke Wisteria. Whatever he says is my voice too.” Suiren seemed to want to vomit saying that sentence.

Then Empress Eleanor stared at Suiren for quite a long time. Suiren stared back at him and the two of them seemed to be competing.

“It looks like this misunderstanding has been resolved.” Crown Prince Frederick clapped both his hands and broke the gripping silence. “Thus, I will annul Lady Suiren Themisree from the list of candidates of the imperial Crown Princess.”

“One more time, I want to congratulate you on your engagement.” Then Crown Prince Frederick held both hands of Suiren with his very warm and tender hands.

“You have no idea how honored I am that you have chosen me to be part of the Crown Princess candidate, Your Majesty. I apologize for the inconvenience.” Suiren.

“Pfft!” Empress Eleanor laughed in a sneer after hearing Suiren's statement. He laughed so hard that the people in the hall turned to them.

“HAHAHA!!! You misunderstood, Lady Themisree.” He finally laughed. His laughter was as cold as the wind in winter. “I put you on the list of Crown Princess candidates. That's why I feel incredibly offended by your engagement.”
