Ever since the historic day that she had managed to turn the clock upside down, Kyrie continued to experiment with the forbidden magic.
He tried to change the spell and modify the spell. He also changed the volume of blood he used when casting spells. Finally he got something from the results of the experiment. That the volume of blood that he uses as a medium to turn the counter time has an effect on how long it can be rotated.
He realized that by doing magic to turn back time, his health gradually deteriorated. Not how bad but the longer the time he turned, the weaker his body felt after he did. Therefore, he needs physical and mental readiness before doing his plan. Because he intends to turn the time around to ten years.
This week he has called the Wisteria family physician to routinely take his blood and store it in bags that he will use later when he will carry out his plans.
“Duke, I have a feeling that you are planning something very dangerous.” Harry said one afternoon after the healer had taken blood from his body.
Kyrie only smiled when she heard the words of her trusted servant.
“I want to visit my mom.” Kyrie. He grabbed his coat and put it on.
The Servant looked at Kyrie with a puzzled look. The master was never willing to visit his own mother if not forced by her. But at this moment, he even proposed by himself. What an unusual sight.
The Duchess still lives in the Themisree residence and lives her days as usual, though the two rarely meet. Kyrie Wisteria arranged her time in such a way that she would not need to show herself in front of her mother often. In recent years, her mother's behavior has improved. When he saw her, he no longer had an aura of hostility and hatred but he only looked at Kyrie blankly. It was as if he was looking through Kyrie's body. It was as if his son was not in front of him.
Kyrie was used to her mother's behavior and never once complained. He was too busy with his life to think of someone who never thought of him.
“Prince the way, Harry.” Kyrie said as she buttoned her suit.
Harry nodded and then led the way through the hallways of the Themisree residence to get to the left wing of the residence.
“I got word that your Mom is in Greenhouse.” Said Harry.
Kyrie allowed the buttons of her shirt sleeves and pulled her suit to allow the folds at the end of her suit.
When he arrived at the Greenhouse, Harry hurriedly opened the Greenhouse door. He let his master in first.
Kyrie stops just before Harry closes the door to follow her inside.
“I want to meet my own mother.”
“Are you going to be okay?” Harry's face showed concern. She recalls the Duchess's actions to Kyrie in her childhood, a barrage of abusive and violent behavior for no apparent reason.
Kyrie did not answer. “I'll be fine.” Indecision implied from his tone of speech.
Harry nodded his head and stepped out. After that, he closed the door to the greenhouse.
“Hah...” Kyrie took a deep breath and then exhaled. Then he walked through various kinds of plants grown in the Greenhouse. Roses, lilies, tulips, irises and other non-flowering plants. The fragrance of the flowers fused into one and filled the air inside the Greenhouse.
When it came to the heart of the Greenhouse, a woman in a black dress and a face covering made of mesh was sitting in the middle of the Greenhouse. Before him, two cups of rose-scented tea were filled to the brim.
Kyrie still sees that her mother is wearing a black dress on her daily basis, as if she will never come out of the mourning period she experienced. Kyrie knew that her mother would never recover from her grief, she refused to recover. The only way her mother could remember her beloved husband was through constant mourning.
“Mother, I came to see you.” Kyrie. He stood beside the table where the cup was placed and waited for his mother's response.
His mother showed no response.
“I just want to see how you are. The weather in Birmin gets colder at times like this, I hope you take good care of your health.”
Kyrie paused for a moment before continuing her words.
“What if I find a way to revive Dad?” tanyanya. His voice sounded soft, as if he did not want his mother to hear his words.
The Duchess turned her head to look at Kyrie for the first time in quite some time. The Duchess's blank and cold gaze seemed to pierce through Kyrie's body. He could not remember the last time his mother looked at him as if he were a man standing before him instead of an invisible air.
“I found a way to revive Dad, Mom.” This time Kyrie said in a firm voice.
He knows that he sounds absurd at the moment. How can someone who died two decades ago be brought back to life? He wouldn't blame his mother if he thought he was crazy.
But unlike what he thought, his mother looked at him with a hopeful look. An expression he had not seen for a long time emanated from his face. Tears came out from both ends of her eyes and flowed through her cheeks until they fell to the ground. His breathing became irregular, as if he had just run around a large field without stopping.
Her mother's soft, cold hands ran down Kyrie's cheeks. The first touch after so many years he felt from his mother that did not cause any injuries to his body.
“You can do that?” ask her with a trembling voice.
Kyrie nodded small.
His mother immediately got up from her seat and held both of his arms tightly. “Ba-how?”
“I found a way.” Short reply.
His mother's gaze turned into a happy and excited look like the gaze of a child who was getting a gift. “Do whatever it is, my son. Once you bring your father back to life, we can go back to being a happy whole family! I'll love you like I loved you before your father died and I'll forgive your mistakes!”
Kyrie did not respond. He just stared at his mother.
His mother then hugged him. But Kyrie did not feel any warmth in it. The feeling he feels today is different from the feeling he felt when he was a child. When his mother really loved him for who he was.
“We can forget everything and we can start over. Your Dad, Me and You.” Said the Duchess while immersing her face in the chest of her son.
That was the moment when reality slapped him.
Kyrie then returned her mother's embrace tightly. The last hug he could give her.
After that he let go of his embrace and walked away from his mother.
He has made his decision.
