“-rie.”
Someone shook his body.
“Kyrie.”
Again, someone shook his body gently.
When it opened its eyes slowly, it was surrounded by blue skies and warm sunlight. He felt his body resting on something hard. A tree.
He remembered the sight before him. He was at the Tagates family home.
“You fell asleep while I was telling you, very disrespectful.” A pair of emerald green eyes looked at him with an angry look.
Kyrie rubbed both of her eyes hard and slapped both of her cheeks.
“Do you remember where my story was?” ask the person he has not seen for five years.
“Se..re..na?” Kyrie.
The blond-haired, green-eyed figure she knew as Serena snorted before her. “Do not pretend to be stupid.”
Tears fell from both eyes.
Serena's angry face turned worried. “Do you have nightmares?” tanyakanya.
Kyrie shook her head. “No..no. I just missed you. Miss you very much.” His word.
Kyrie then hugged the woman in front of her and stroked her head.
“Ky-Kyrie... are you okay?” The smell of Serena is the same as the smell of peaches. Fresh and sweet. The aroma that makes anyone who is tired and tired becomes excited instantly.
“Silence. Don'tdon't move. I'm afraid all this will disappear if you move.” Kyrie Whisper.
Serena complies with Kyrie's request.
After that Kyrie released her embrace and looked at Serena face fixedly. Serena looked much younger than the last day she met him in the Imperial Kingdom Underground Prison. Her eyes radiated the warmth that Kyrie longed for, the embodiment of spring within a human.
“How old are you, Serena?” ask Kyrie.
“Are you kidding me, Kyrie? My birthday was just a week ago and you asked me my age? Sem-bi-lan-be-las-ta-hun!” spell Serena.
Kyrie then chuckled and slowly grew her laughter. He laughed as if he was looking at a funny thing.
“Haaah. Then I won't waste this opportunity.” Mumbled.
“What am I doing here, Serena?” ask Kyrie gently.
Serena looked at Kyrie with a strange look. He did not think that his story could make someone fall asleep to the point of forgetting everything.
“Why ask me that? I also don't know why you show up so often at my residence and abandon your job.” Reply Serena.
Kyrie remembers that she used to visit Serena just because she missed her. He would visit Tagates' residence without prior notice and meet Serena. The servants at the Tagates residence always talked about how he would be engaged to the only daughter of the Tagates family and Serena would always apologize if the talk reached her ears. He never realized how much Kyrie wanted to make the words of the servants of the tagates residence happen.
From the beginning Serena put a wall between herself and Kyrie quite clearly. Kyrie is aware of that, so she always tries to separate her feelings and close them in the box. But when Serena became one of the empress candidates, Kyrie could not keep her head cold. He used to think that if he couldn't have Serena, then no one else could have her.
“Actually I'm here to ask you a few things, Serena.” Start Kyrie. “I remember that you once told me about your cousin who was the daughter of General Themisree. Can you tell me about him?”
Serena's eyebrows wrinkled. “I've told you about Suiren?”
Kyrie nodded. “Rubber, Lady Suiren Themisree.”
“Hmm.. Suiren is my cousin. His mother, the late Lady Silvya Themisree was my father's younger sister, but because she decided to marry General Arnold Themisree she lost her title. Even so, my family's relationship with his family is fine.” Said Serena while tucking a strand of golden hair in her ear.
“Are you close to him?” ask Kyrie again.
“Very close! I always wanted a sister but I only had two older brothers who were always busy so when Suiren was born, I was very happy and I always thought of him as my own sister.”
Kyrie just nodded her head.
“Does Lady Themisree already have a fiance, Serena?” Kyrie asked once more.
Serena looked at Kyrie with a strange look. “Not usually you ask me about something like this.”
Kyrie laughs. He tried not to sound suspicious. “Actually, my friend likes Lady Themisree. So he asked me to gather information about him.”
Serena's face changed. He looked relieved and then smiled brightly. “I've never had anyone try to get engaged to Suiren. Mostly because of General Themisree's attitude which was so protective towards him.”
Kyrie then nodded her head. After that he stroked Serena and said with a faint smile. “Thank you, Serena.”
Kyrie got up from her seat and then cleaned her pants off the grass and the ground.
“You're going to leave now?” Serena stood up.
Kyrie nodded. “I have to finish my business in the north.”
“When are you going to be here again?”
Kyrie was silent for a moment. He took a deep breath and exhaled it. He must put an end to this feeling that is within him. Just because time had turned back and the girl he once loved had been before him back, he could not go back in time. He has a goal to achieve and to achieve it he must keep his feelings in the box and never reopen it.
“I probably won't be here for quite a long time.” Kyrie.
Serena looks confused. “Are you going somewhere far away?”
Kyrie. “You know that Harry always scolds me because I always neglect my duties to meet you, I think I've overcharged Harry. Therefore I will complete my tasks that have been mounted.”
Serena nodded understandingly.
Then the two of them walked towards the Tagates residence. Side by side with a slow step.
“I'll miss you.” Kyrie.
“I think I'll miss you too.” Reply Serena with a smile.
“Can I ask something from you?” Kyrie stopped her steps.
Serena looked at Kyrie with a questioning look.
“Can.... I ask for a bundle of your hair?”
A tradition in the Helianthus Empire for any man who would go to fight on the battlefield or go long enough to ask for a bundle of hair belonging to a very important woman in his life. A kind of talisman so that the man can return safely and meet the woman again. Kyrie witnessed many knights who went to war doing this. Be it done by a lover, a sister or to a mother.
Serena raised both eyebrows. He then twisted his golden hair. “Hairku?”
Kyrie nodded.
“You said as if you were going to leave me for a long time, Kyrie. Don't worry me.”
Kyrie chuckled and then ruffled Serena's hair. “Already expected, it would be strange if I asked for such a thing without any reason.”
They finally arrived in front of the Tagates residence.
“Then I go first.” Kyrie said goodbye.
Kyrie was getting ready to get on her train but she was stopped by a pull on the arm of her suit.
“Tu-wait! I'll borrow your sword for a second.” Serena pulled Kyrie's sword from her scabbard and then cut off a bit of hair on her front. The hair that was cut earlier now became not the same as the hair on his right. But Serena still looks beautiful even with that imperfectness.
He then thrust his golden hair at Kyrie. “I gave this because I was worried. At least with this, I'm sure you'll visit me again.”
Kyrie grabbed the bundle of rambur Serena was holding and stuffed it into her pocket. He smiled and left without saying a word.
